Matt Ford: When the Drunk Teach the Blind

In the post When the Demon Possessed Preach, I posted a video of Matt Ford from Fire It Up International Ministries, and pastor of Wine Barrel Family Church, in Redcliffe, Australia.  If you are unfamiliar with Ford, all you need to know is that he’s been known to rub elbows with John Crowder.

Ford is bringing his Miracle Training College to America in August.  He says Australia isn’t ready for it yet.  Maybe that’s because Australians still have an ounce of discernment left???  Maybe???

He says he’s equipping people to walk continually in the manifest glory of God – to be in and out of trances, ecstacies, and raptures, to live a life drunk, whacked out in what he calls the “glory of Heaven.”

Oh, and guess what?  You can even get a degree in being a spiritual stoner at this Miracle Training College (watch video for more information).  Ford says you don’t even have to speak English to attend because your spirit will understand anyway.  Yeah, right.  That’s not what Scripture says.  What good would it do to to attend a “church” service where you couldn’t understand anything?  It would profit nothing, for no one would be able to learn anything.  It reminds me of what the apostle Paul said:

1 Corinthians 14:18-23: (KJV)

I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all:  Yet in the church I had rather speak five words with my understanding, that by my voice I might teach others also, than ten thousand words in an unknown tongue.  Brethren, be not children in understanding: howbeit in malice be ye children, but in understanding be men.  In the law it is written, With men of other tongues and other lips will I speak unto this people; and yet for all that will they not hear me, saith the Lord.  Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not: but prophesying serveth not for them that believe not, but for them which believe.  If therefore the whole church be come together into one place, and all speak with tongues, and there come in those that are unlearned, or unbelievers, will they not say that ye are mad?

But, we’re not talking about a gathering of people who are content to study the Word of God and grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.  They’re addicted to spiritual experiences.  Watch the video below and meet their teacher.

John Crowder: The YouTube Prophet

John 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

In God-ka and the Yum Rum of Heaven, I relayed that John Crowder and Benjamin Dunn went to the U.K. and appeared at an event called Sloshfest, a yearly mystical ecstatic event, to evanglize his own brand of mystical Christianity.  I posted a video that Crowder did with David “the Drunk” Vaughn, the organizer of the event.

Below you will find a documentary from Current TV where a reporter actually went inside the Sloshfest and followed four people and reported their experience there.  Two are theology students, one a professing Christian, and the other a so-called “agnostic Christian,” and the other two are athiest members of a rock band who admit to being party animals.  They say they’ve tried everything to get high, so why not try Jesus?

At the end of the event, the two theology students remained unconvinced, being turned off by the bizarre noises and the exclusivism.  The two athiest rock band members needed a drink at the pub to calm themselves.

I’ll post the videos below and ask that you take time to watch them.  They are very revealing as they give us an intimate peak inside not only this event, but others.  Most pertinent is Crowders confession that he is turned off by Christianity and it’s systematic stuffy church culture.  The people who attend the Sloshfest are turned off by mainstream church and are drawn to the experiential atmosphere of John Crowder’s meetings.

While you’re watching, pay special attention to the debauched atmosphere and the manifestations from the people.  Are we really to believe these are the fruits of the Spirit?  This is not of God, this is Satanic.  These men do not represent the gospel, they represent “another gospel” and Scripture says that those who do this are accursed.  (Galatians 1:9)  Here is the evidence…

John Crowder says:  “The truth comes not to enhance your feelings, but to enhance your buzz.”  (from video 1)

God’s Word says:  Jesus speaking, “I am the way, the TRUTH, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me.”  (John 14:6)

Since Jesus is truth, and truth came into the world in the form of God’s only begotten Son, do you really think Jesus came into the world to enhance your buzz?  That’s blasphemous!  He came into the world to seek and to save that which was lost.  (Luke 19:10)

Videos are below in three parts.

John Crowder and Benjamin Dunn: Feasting on the Passover Lamb

You remember John Crowder and Benjamin Dunn’s “toking the Holy Ghost”?  Well, now they’re feasting on a baby lamb, and Benjamin Dunn even speaks in drunken tongues while doing it.  I think he said, “shakabonky.”

Ummm…I’ve seen them come up with some crazy things before, but this is beyond crazy.  Todd Friel says in this video that Crowder and Dunn do stupid things (I concur), and that he feels embarrassed for them.  I see what he’s saying, and while I respect Todd Friel, I don’t feel embarrassed for them.  I feel disgusted and I couldn’t be happier to highlight their stupidity for all to see.  And, don’t write me and call me unloving for calling this stupidity.  What else can I call it?  False teaching?  These guys claim to be messengers of the gospel while they do these shameful things.  Now’s not a time to be gracious by calling them false teachers.  This is not just stupidity, this is utter stupidity.

If you think I’m being too harsh, tell me if you feel the same when you hear John Crowder say, “We’re gonna feast on this little lamb that was slain for us,” and then watch them pass the lamb around and pretend to take bites out of him.

This is vile.  It takes colossal blindness to follow these men.

Those Who Turn Away from the Truth to Follow Strange Fire

I have a question…

As the title of this post suggests, I am wondering about those people who not only walked in truth, but exposed error.  What is to be said of them if they turn away from sound Biblical truth and fully embrace false doctrine?  By false doctrine I mean the doctrine of such folks as Patricia King, John Crowder, Rick Joyner, etc.

We often hear of people who are snared by deception who have their eyes open, turn away from it, and repent.  I am one of those people.  But what if the opposite happens?  What if I were to suddenly turn on a dime, announce that what I believed was wrong, and I’m gonna go see Todd Bentley tonight and get me a snoot full of that drunken glory.  What’s to be said then?

Let’s talk about it…

God-ka and the Yum Rum of Heaven

I found this at A Little Leaven

Mystic John Crowder and his sidekick, Benjamin Dunn, visited South Wales in January and made a bit of a splash.  A reporter from The Sun in the U.K. (google it if you’re interested) covered Sloshfest, a mystical ecstatic event organized by a fella named David Vaughn, that reinforces the false doctrine and demonic manifestations you see from such people as Brandon Barthrop and Patricia King.  The event is now in its fourth year, and as you can tell from the article, the reporter seems intrigued with the fact that these people are behaving in a drunken manner even though they have ingested no drugs or alcohol, and even refers to the atmosphere as being “debauched.”

It is always interesting to hear how things like this appear to the secular world.  Here are some quotes from his article.  Please follow the link to read it for yourself.

The 38-year-old (David Vaughan, organizer of Sloshfest) from nearby Pontypool is a former drug-user who makes no apologies for painting God as a party animal who wants to win over youngsters with supernatural highs.

So, God’s a party animal, is He?  The Bible paints a completely different picture:

Psa 145:17  The LORD is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works.

Ps 50:6  And the heavens shall declare his righteousness: for God is judge himself. Selah.

Ps 89:14  Justice and judgment are the habitation of thy throne: mercy and truth shall go before thy face.

Ps 97:2  Clouds and darkness are round about him: righteousness and judgment are the habitation of his throne.

Ps 99:3  Let them praise thy great and terrible name; for it is holy.

De 32:4  He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.

1Sa 2:2  There is none holy as the LORD: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God.

Back to the article:

After leading me to a quiet room away from the madness, David says: “This behaviour and message is bringing liberation to a world that doesn’t want Christianity as it has been.

“People are looking for something relevant to them. If you like to party, drink and take drugs, our advice is, ‘Don’t drink Vodka, drink God-ka’.

“It is filled with life and brings you to another level of joy unspeakable, liberating you from fears and inhibitions you find in the world. It is a blissful sense of liberty.

“This isn’t offensive to the Lord, but it is to the religious folk who attend a dead organisation.

“Heaven is going to be wild. God will show up and be the life of the party. We want to see fun coming back into the Church.”

They aren’t interested in Biblical truth, they’re interested in drunkenness, they want manifestations, mystical experiences, and tingles of the flesh that will ensure that they are never pleasing God and never able to in their present state. Under this deception, they will never grow spiritually.  They will forever remain fleshly and wanton, fulfilling the lusts of the flesh.  They will be incapable of pursuing or following the will of God. (1 Peter 4:2)

The young folks are revolting.  They don’t want the old way of doing things, they want something new, something relevant, something they can enjoy. This is what they want:

Back in the main room the party is pumping, with dry ice, airhorns and dazzling disco lights adding to the debauched atmosphere.

So much for seeking out God’s Word for the sanctifying power of truth, eh?

John Crowder Mocks Scripture

John Crowder mocking Scripture?  That’s nothing new, right?

Crowder has obviously heard the criticism of his method of “ministering,” and this video is his response.  He and his wife, Lily, made this video to address those concerns.   Men like this, puffed up by their own arrogance, are unteachable and place themselves beyond correction.  Should one offer them Scriptural proof that condemns their doctrine or behavior, this is the kind of response they get.

What do you think?  Upon listening to this, I was utterly amazed at Crowder’s lack of understanding of Scripture.  I mean, I shouldn’t have been.  It’s just that, I knew he was Biblically illiterate, but he’s even more Biblically illiterate than I realized…and that’s saying something!

Rolling in the Butter

Thanks to Bud Press for a heads-up on this.

Now the hypercharismatic movement has moved beyond tokin’ the ghost, now they’re rolling in the butter.

In the video below, they would have you believe this is a work of the Holy Spirit.  But, the Holy Spirit doesn’t provoke people to roll about on the floor in a stupor, while writhing about in a lascivious manner.  The Holy Spirit has better things to do, like leading people to the source of Living Water, Jesus Christ.
