Duck! Dominionists are Coming in for a Landing!

Did you know Geneva, Switzerland is pregnant?  Well, it will be on December 8, 2012, because that’s the next time charismatic, global dominionists will gather to take dominion over cities, boats, trains, video games, sewers, drain pipes, windows, gazebos, box cars, plate glass windows, ladders, pot holes, grocery stores, flower shops, movie theaters, city buses, and sundry other things that do or may possess a devil or two.

Check out this video featuring Lou Engle and Stacey Campbell.  TheCall Geneva is right around the corner and you will definitely want to miss it!  Why?  I’ll give you three good reasons.

  1. Dominionism isn’t Scriptural.
  2. Dominionism isn’t Scriptural.
  3. Dominionism isn’t Scriptural.

Patricia King: Special Visitations for Women

Oh, my word.  Where do I start?

I wish Patricia King would study the Word of God and actually read it literally.  Truly I do.

In this video, Patricia King announces her new revelation – God is going to be paying special visits to women, and when He does, there will be the impregnation of vision and the fulfillment of vision in women’s lives.

Impregnation.  Every time I hear that word in relation to charismatic visions and revelation, I get that much more tired of it.

What King says in the following video is that she had a vision of women sitting and worshipping at the feet of God, and as they worshipped, they became impregnated with vision – then, within months, she claims, there will be a fulfillment of that which is shown.  She then urges her listeners to be prepared, because they are going to have a visitation from God.

It’s at this moment that I pause the video and think… Emmanuel – God with us.  We had a visitation from God 2,000 years ago, yet they (Patricia King and others) are still rejecting Him in exchange for signs and wonders, which only a spiritually adulterous generation seeks after.

It always comes back to that, doesn’t it?

Todd Bentley’s Australian Non-Adventure

Todd Bentley isn’t having an adventure in Australia because he can’t get there!

Bentley’s Australian Tour has had to be postponed because he was denied entry into the country last week.

Here’s a snapshot and a statement from Bentley’s Fresh Fire USA website:

A trusted source wrote to the Australian Department of Immigration (ADI) to ascertain the reason why Bentley was refused entrance.  The ADI responded that matters of this nature are private, and they will not be making a public statement.

What I’m wondering is if Bentley is being denied access because he’s a Charismatic preacher.  Benny Hinn faced this problem in 2009 when he was denied access into Britain for a time.  More and more governments around the globe are starting to ban charismatic preachers because of their habit of bilking people out of their money.  These governments can see what gullible charismatic followers can not… that these men are hucksters and scam artists, and foreign governments want to protect their citizens from them.

It’s sad when the world has more discernment than many in the modern church.

Cindy Jacobs Claims to Reverse a Hysterectomy

Listen as Cindy Jacobs glorifies herself and claims to reverse a woman’s hysterectomy.  According to Jacobs and her husband, the woman, who had had a total hysterectomy, began to feel sick.  She went to the doctor and said, “I think I’m pregnant.”  Ya know, just because that had to be what was wrong.  The doctor assured her that was impossible because he removed everything.  After doing a pregnancy test, it was supposedly confirmed that the lady was pregnant.  They claim that God had restored everything the doctor had removed because, after all, He is the Creator!

As usual, Jacobs gives no name and no address so that this can be verified.  They just say that it was just “a lady” that this happened to.  A nameless, faceless lady from parts unknown.

Like I said… Jacobs is glorifying herself in this clip.

Todd Bentley Punches Cancer Patient

If what Todd Bentley says in this video is true, I agree with my friend, Bud Press, when he says:

“If Todd Bentley is telling the truth, the demons that are influencing him will get the last laugh when someone is seriously injured or dies.”  (Bud Press)

Patricia King: Take that Mountain!

Patricia, did you take my mountain?!?!

I think the Scripture-twisting award for 2011 should go to Patricia King.

King says God’s giving out mountains, so you need to go take one!  No, I’m not being facetious.  She really says that in the following video.

I want you to read this Scripture:

Luke 2:49:

49 And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father’s business?

Patricia King said that she was a nurse by trade, but afterwards went into full time ministry.  During study one night, God spoke this verse to her and she just knew God was calling her into business… Kingdom business, that is!

Now, let’s read this verse in context, and you can be sure I’m going to post the full passage and not cherry-pick verses and twist them.

Luke 2:40-51:

40 And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God was upon him. 41 Now his parents went to Jerusalem every year at the feast of the passover. 42 And when he was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem after the custom of the feast. 43 And when they had fulfilled the days, as they returned, the child Jesus tarried behind in Jerusalem; and Joseph and his mother knew not of it. 44 But they, supposing him to have been in the company, went a day’s journey; and they sought him among their kinsfolk and acquaintance. 45 And when they found him not, they turned back again to Jerusalem, seeking him. 46 And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions. 47 And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers. 48 And when they saw him, they were amazed: and his mother said unto him, Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? behold, thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing. 49 And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father’s business? 50 And they understood not the saying which he spake unto them. 51 And he went down with them, and came to Nazareth, and was subject unto them: but his mother kept all these sayings in her heart.

The first question we should ask is, what exactly is the Father’s business?  Could it be to fulfill the commission set out before Him by His Father in Heaven and to convey the message given to Him?  Yes?  Ooookay!  Wasn’t that easy?  Here’s what King says about that one verse…. just that one verse… not the whole passage.

“… but as I was in my devotion time, um, a number of years ago, the Lord spoke to me concerning a Scripture where it said Jesus was about His Father’s business, and I thought, ‘Well, that’s interesting!’ He didn’t say He was about His Father’s ministry, He said He was about His Father’s business.  And so I started to examine that and I realized because I lead a ministry, that I had to walk with my “Daddy” God, walk with the Holy Spirit on how to run the ministry, on how to initiate certain mandates, how to raise funds for it, how to see the different mandates we’re given become fruitful and multiply and that…and the Lord says, ‘You are about your Father’s business.’  And I, and I realized, and I thought, ‘Wow, this is Kingdom Business!”

How King goes from what the Scripture actually says to her interpretation can be achieved in only one way… you’ve got to snip a verse away from the contextual narrative, and apply ding-bat eisegesis to it.

Now, I have an assignment for you (but watch the video first).  I want you to read these verses, and using Patricia King’s mode of interpretation, apply it to these verses.  See what a mess it makes?

Matthew 5:38 Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:  (Wow, God has called me to be a dentist!  Or, maybe an optometrist???  A Kingdom Optometrist!)

Matthew 9:16 No man putteth a piece of new cloth unto an old garment, for that which is put in to fill it up taketh from the garment, and the rent is made worse.  (Yaaaay!  God wants me to be a Kingdom Tailor!)

Matthew 9:17 Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved.  (Yee Haw!  I’m being called to be a Kingdom winemaker!  Or maybe a Kingdom drunk!  Oooooooh, that explains John Crowder!)

Matthew 9:26 And the fame hereof went abroad into all that land.  (Hot diggity!  I’m called to be famous.  All for the Kingdom, of course!  Or, maybe it means I should be a newspaper editor and spread other people’s fame throughout the land???  A KINGDOM EDITOR!)

Romans 11:18 Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee.  (Well, how do ya like that?!  God’s calling me to be a lumber jack!)

Yeesh!  Here’s the video.

It doesn’t appear that Todd Bentley has received a warm welcome in the UK.  Outside of charismatic followers, Bentley’s reception has been quite cold, with one MP warning people to beware of him.

This is from Express.co.uk.  Pay special attention to his bold, self-exalting claims, and pay attention to how much time he spends talking about the Scripture instead of …. himself.

A TORY MP has warned Britons to be wary of claims made by a Canadian preacher who says he can cure cancer and raise the dead.

Thousands have been flocking to hear tattooed former Hell’s Angel Todd Bentley speak at a church in Cwmbran in South Wales, where he is holding revivalist meetings until Thursday.

Last Thursday night he told his audience he had brought 33 people back from the dead and cured more than 100 deaf mutes of their handicap.

Tory MP David Davies, whose Monmouth constituency covers part of Cwmbran, said: “I go to church and respect Christian beliefs, but I am concerned that some of the claims made by Mr Bentley are far fetched and should be treated cautiously.”
