Amen and amen. I think each one of us would do well with a little self-examination, lest we find ourselves among the goats.

  2. Carolyn

Was just visiting the DITC website, which led me to Appraising Ministries and the article about the Catalyst Movement. Think big…think “mega”, think “pure leadership adrenaline”, think “a force that can change our generation”…these guys are drunk on their own grandiose delusions!
Think “golden calf” being set up in the Dominionist camp.
Been thinking about the golden calf for some reason lately…what was the big deal? The big deal, ladies and gents, was that God had just led them out of Egypt showing his greatness and power, and they had just witnessed his amazing power at Mount Sinai and then they chose other gods!! And there was no stopping them, a group of about 3000 leaders rose up, demanded the calf be built and said, “it’s party time” and revelry began.

    Exodus 32
1…Come make us gods that will go before us….
5 When Aaron saw this, he built an altar in front of the calf and announced, “Tomorrow there will be a festival to the LORD.” 6 So the next day the people rose early and sacrificed burnt offerings and presented fellowship offerings. Afterward they sat down to eat and drink and got up to indulge in revelry.

This is no brilliant spiritual movement that they are erecting…it is a golden calf.
And one very striking similarity…. they are unstoppable.

The silence on this issue speaks more than 10,000 words. Maybe this Christianity thing is no more than a game to most. A game whose chief player is the ear, the itching ear. But to those who have had their sins washed in the blood of Jesus Christ it is far from any game. The Schuller/Warren/Hybils crowd is getting precisely what they asked for: a lie to make them feel good about denying and defying the Savior. Peter and Jude instruct us that the leaders of such heresies have only the blackness of darkness reserved for them forever. They have only a future ahead of them without Christ, without forgivness, without mercy. Do not be deceived, you cannot serve the Lord God of the Bible and the demon infested idols offered to you by these men.

Hi, in agreement, man is building his own kingdom, not the kingdom of God, they are training people to be loyal to them, setting their affections on them instead of Christ. It is very subtle but they are doing this. Where is the humility in lavish living? Again look to the Word of Truth, Where did the disciples do this? The disciples showed the right leadership in that they served instead of being served. This is so grievious to me, Christ didn’t die for man to build their own kingdoms. He died for all. Everyone is important in the kingdom of God. Yet these greedy prosperity teachers, take what is not theirs, take from the poor, and feed themselves. We must go back and define what a true Shepherd is. He is to be an example, and Paul explicitly says what a true leader should be, and we said this before, but one of the things is blameless, husband of one wife, not greedy for filthy lucre. Yet that is exactly what they are doing. Teaching people that gain is Godliness. We are to flee from this kind of teaching. Eze 34:2 Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel, prophesy, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD unto the shepherds; Woe be to the shepherds of Israel that do feed themselves! should not the shepherds feed the flocks?
Eze 34:3 Ye eat the fat, and ye clothe you with the wool, ye kill them that are fed: but ye feed not the flock.
Eze 34:4 The diseased have ye not strengthened, neither have ye healed that which was sick, neither have ye bound up that which was broken, neither have ye brought again that which was driven away, neither have ye sought that which was lost; but with force and with cruelty have ye ruled them.
    Jas 2:2 For if there come unto your assembly a man with a gold ring, in goodly apparel, and there come in also a poor man in vile raiment;
Jas 2:3 And ye have respect to him that weareth the gay clothing, and say unto him, Sit thou here in a good place; and say to the poor, Stand thou there, or sit here under my footstool:
Jas 2:4 Are ye not then partial in yourselves, and are become judges of evil thoughts?
Jas 2:5 Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him?
Jas 2:6 But ye have despised the poor. Do not rich men oppress you, and draw you before the judgment seats?
People are being spiritually raped and plundered, and who is going to plead their cause? How we need True Shepherds who love the flock and will lead them without selfish ambition, or self gain. One thing I do know is that keeping our hearts on Him, Jesus Christ is able to keep us safe in his everlasting arms, and keep us from falling. Bless you all. from Cowbelle

    Amen Makayla
I’ve seen her in action, she concerns me very much. She has a big following within the Baptist denominations, big, huge.

Can I share something about Schullers Son? A couple of years ago I think it was, I was flipping through the channels on tv and came across the hour of power. I never watch it but something got my attention. His son was preaching and he was preaching Jesus Christ and the Cross, as I listened I couldn’t believe it. He was focused on the Lord and speaking truth. He spoke from his heart, I was so touched that I found myself crying. I was so thankful to hear the Gospel like this. He was suppose to take his fathers place. But not long after he was let go, fired if you will. His father said it wasn’t the direction he wanted to go. What?????? Not the direction??? His son was preaching Christ and him crucified. I believe that sermon touched many lives. If you google Schuller, you will find out that he gave his ministry to his daughter. His son was taken off the hour of power program completely. Please pray for schullers son, I believe that he was committed to preaching the truth, at least it seemed to be that day. So this is a spiritual battle. I looks like if his son would have taken over the ministry Christ would have been the main focus. I don’t know if anyone else had seen this or knew of this. God bless you all from cowbelle

Can someone tell me more about Beth Moore? When I was going to Calvary the Women’s Studies were all based on her books/videos. I did the Daniel study and personally didn’t have any issues. Can someone enlighten me here? Thanks!

  8. Teresa

    @ Vintagegirl

Contemplative spirituality; do a google search and you will get articles from Tony Capoccia, Apprising Ministries. She also when I saw her at a conference, I was concerned because there was some extra-biblical revelation. Research her because it is no secret what she teaches to be error. I am sure she teaches some truth but we must discern between what is right and almost right. Google her!!!!!!!!

  9. Carolyn

Cowbelle, great to have you back. We missed you for a while there. Hope your husband is on the mend.
Yes, I heard something very similar to what you posted about Robert Schuller and son, can’t remember where…but I’ll keep an eye out. No doubt they are going in different directions.
It’s such a mystery how rejection of the truth can bring spiritual blindness. Even a son cannot bring a father back!!
Unfortunately today, we see many sons influencing their Christian pastor fathers into error not the other way around. “Gotta change with the times, Dad!”
    Don’t you believe it!!

  10. Eli

@mkayla – ah beth moore….when my church opted to stop having wednesday night bible study with the pastor, and traded it for a beth moore study, that was the final straw. I left my church of 10 years, and never looked back. my complaints fell on deaf ears.

  11. Ruitje

@IWTT, thanks for the link. I am listening right now and it is clear: Beth Moore is teaching Dominion and Word of Faith heresy. She uses technics and abuses the Word of God for her own theory. I heard that ‘commercial’ (very funny) again ‘It’s all about ME’. That video showed exactly the problem with a lot of teachings these days: it is man-centred, not Christ-centred.

  12. Ruitje

Well, I am listening to Beth Moore, but it is awfull to listen to this stream of words. She doesn’t give time to think to the listener. It is a method, also used by for example Todd Bentley: twisting scripture, throwing words at you with no time to rest or think.

  13. Carolyn

I am about 1/3 the way through listening to the link from IWTT. The scope and influence of this kind of teaching is what boggles the mind. Once introduced, into the church, it is the leaven that Jesus talked about…it works its way through the whole batch rather quickly.

He does such a great job of peeling off the mask of deception from this teaching. First, as he is reading the Word about how the sacrifice of Christ once for all gives us our confidence before God, and then we are taken up onto the great height of this truth, only to be smacked down into the confines of our own prison again …the old self by Beth’s teaching.

If we reduce all these teachings down to the lowest common denominator…it is self.

Having just returned from being out and about in traffic; I would consider a mature driver to be someone is not just aware of their own special driving abilities but is looking ahead, aware of what is happening around them and considerate of those others who may be careless, introspective drivers; this after having been cut off by a speeding maniac who was weaving in and out, cut me off and darted in and out of traffic to get to the next light 45 seconds ahead of the rest of us; this after we were made to wait behind a driver who wanted to change lanes but had not thought of it until the last minute; this after it swerving to miss a lady who had nosed out into traffic just enough to inconvenience everyone; and this after being slowed down by the old man in a world of his own who refused to flow with the traffic and going 10 m/h under the speed limit.
There is a point to my story. It is very similar with Online Discernment Ministries and those on this site, for instance, who are looking around, caring about the other drivers…those who are intent only on themselves and what they think we should be doing as Christians. These are the mature drivers who care enough about the overall picture to make judgements and discernments about the driving of others so that many more catastrophies may be averted.
That’s my plug today for Discernment Ministries. God Bless them. God Bless us all!

Beth Moore, yes I have seen her on tv,she reminds me of the ever ready bunny, lol.Man she sure has the gift of gab.I have seen her on James Robson’s program.I beleive he approves of her.I am having a problem askin a question but her goes, are all those people out there I have read about on this site whacked out? These are people I have listened 2 or have known about for yrs.It makes me think who can u trust when they are talkin about God or his word. How do I know I can trust the people postin suff on this site and I like this site.It has helped me very much, beacuse my wife and I were in what was called or maybe still called the river,u know the Toronto Blessing stuff,I just get scared sometimes beacuse Iknow where we were and I dont ever want to go there again.I hope u can appreciate my concern.Thank u and God Bless!

  16. cowbelle

Carolyn thank you, we have to have balance, and sometimes we feel discouraged when we read of all that is happening. I for one would like to also request to find those who are actually preaching truth. I would like to listen those who are building up the saints with no ulterior motive. If you all know of good preachers, pastors, please post them. Would like to get the word out there. God bless from cowbelle

  17. Carolyn

Cowbelle, when I first got off the Charismatic train, I found a wealth of good Biblically sound teaching at the following site which put me on the road to stability in my faith.
One of my favourite sites for Discernment is:
on the side of Chrystal’s website there are links to many good online discernment ministries, which are Biblically sound and who all care for the welfare of the saints and do a wonderful job of feeding the sheep.

@Barry, I know you know all this, but just for encouragement to all of us:

One thing I noticed after being through years of bad teaching, was how the euphoria dropped off and all the extra bibical ideas were exposed for what they are as if scales fell from my eyes. But it was a gradual process, a kind of dawning as I saw more and more.

The COUNTERFEIT TRUTH is pretty much like this: it exalts self, it panders to the flesh, and it tries to fix the old man. And it majors in the experiences and “visitations” that produce goosebumps and chills. It also loves to distort scripture out of context.

GOD’S TRUTH IS ABOUT HIM PERIOD. We can open up our Bibles and learn the truth about him, his ways, his power, his plan, his character and his work. We will leave each and every Biblical encounter with the God of Truth, with a greater trust in his unfailing love for his creation and true worship for his greatness and power.

The bottom line for correct, Biblically sound teaching is that confirms and compares and contrasts experience and reality with what God has said. It strengthens and encourages your faith in God. It dispels darkness and doubt. AND ESPECIALLY, IT KEEPS THE FOCUS OF WHO WE ARE IN RELATIONSHIP TO HIM AT THE CENTRE OF TEACHING AT ALL TIMES. Amen! Praise the Lord!

  18. Barry

Thanks Carolyn for responding.I am still smarting from those days. Its not as bad as it was but it still hurts and it hurts 2 know that its still goin on and there r so many christians caught up in the web of the devils deception.

  19. Doug

Hello everyone-been gone a while-simply put, I trust God to deliver His people from error, in His time, though many of us spend/spent years in churches that are teaching error. It may take years, decades, but God has His reasons for all that He does.
If Chrystal, for example, had not been in Charismatic churches, if she had been raised in a Baptist church, she probably wouldn’t have created this site.
God put her (and many of us) into those churches and then drew her (us) out, just as He drew His children out of their Egypt.

  20. Timothy Guy

Let me guess, you guys are reformed theology hyper calvanists right?

I see the same pattern on all these defending the faith sites. while you are correct in going after these false doctrines reading through the posts and responses to these topics shows the truth. That you yourselves are victims of false doctrine and you cant even see it. You are on the opposite end of the spectrum from the hyper charismatics.
You dont belive in the power of God, you have turned Christianity into something it is not. You quote scriptures but deny their power becuase what you have is an intellectual faith. You make your faith of no value because it is all about Gods interest in His own Glory and Gods divine choice and you have nothing to do with the matter
wich is also false. God Did Choose you but he also appointed you and He wants you to walk in faith and expectation of Him. There is a time to submit and there is a time to be filled with power. They are both important.

Our God is mighty, He is awesome and Glorious and He wants to show Himself strong on behalf of those that put their trust in Him.

There is charismatic error, however the Gifts of the Holy spirit are still in operation today. There is no scripture that teaches otherwise. what you all need to learn is that it is just as bad to completely deny the power and activity of the Holy Spirit as it is to fall in outrageousness.

  21. highrpm

i was a hyper in the late 80’s-and 90’s but as my life has devolved i am now a charismatic as you describe. but there is still something missing. i have met people who display few or many fruits of the holy spirit but no [power] gifts. i myself am one of the them. i consider myself a disciple a jesus: as he stated the requires, i have left all. but all of my prayers go unanswered and my communication w/god is a monologue. at this point, i conclude is 59:1-2 must be the cause, but i cannot identify my sin because god does not tell, since my sin separates us. and i have not run across a servant of his that tells me. so i remain in a conundrum.

  22. Ruitje

@Timothy, may be it is a surprise for you: I am an evanglical charismatic believer! And I have seen all the error, but I have not thrown away the child with the bath water. I do not deny the gifts of the Spirit, but I also don’t put them above the cross or above the fruit of the Spirit.
May be the difference is that I read the bible for myself and use one of the gifts of the Spirit: discernment. May be you should pray and ask for that gift too.

  23. Teresa

    @ Timothy and highrpm

The truth of God’s word and the essentials of Salvation is the most important thing, the doctrines of Jesus Christ. If we do not understand the essentials, then we have nothing. If we do not understand the true God and Jesus Christ of the Bible, then we have nothing. I went to a charsmatic church for 5 almost 6 years and I for one saw a lot of abuse with the gifts of the spirit. God told me this, God told me that, I got a word from the LORD, “Thus saith the LORD, we have to give God permission, God has all power in heaven but no authority on earth, zero. That is not the God of the bible, God is sovereign over everything and everyone. The gift that was rarely excersised was the gift of discerning of spirits. When the gift of discerning of spirits was excersised you were labelled.

The enemy counterfeits everything God does, he has since the Garden. I knew in my old church that something was missing and something was seriously wrong. God gracely showed me or allowed me to hear. Their was a tongue and translation in my old church. The tongue came forth and then the interperation came forth. God allowed me to hear the tongue in English and what was translated was not what I heard, false interpertation. As Ruitje said the gifts can never be put above the cross or the blood of Jesus. These movements by pass the cross, to get to the gifts, just like Simon the sorcerer tried to do in the book of acts.
Having said that; there is a big difference between faith healers, than divine healing from God. All false religions believe in faith healers as well.
Phinease Parkhurt Quimby was a faith hearler, “New Thought” this is where the Word of Faith movement came from and Oprah Winfrey teachings. Mary Baker Eddie, Christian science, was healed by Quimby, this is where christian science came from, minus the blood of Jesus and the cross. Quimby and Eddy both used scriptures from the biblein their teaching, their own interpertation of God’s word, to form their own false religion. Go to Della Reese website “The Up Chruch” she is New Thought and look who she quotes ( T D Jakes, Billy Graham, Norman Vincent Peale, Robert Shuller, Ernest Holmen, Mind science) and what she quotes, the bible, scriptures.
In Matt 24:24 Jesus clearly warns believers to beware of false christ and false prophets showing great signs and wonders in so much that if it were possible, even the very elect could be deceived. Now my point is this, their is a counterfeit god, a counterfeit holy spirit and a counterfeit jesus. When false religious are claiming to heal people , “faith healers” so to speak, then true believers need to pay attention. We must discern the difference between what is right and almost right.

Now read “Highrpm” comment because it breaks my heart, when I read it. I have seen this one to many times. When their not healed they blame themselves, when prayers are not answered, they blame themselves.
When “highrpm” says that God is not answering his/her prayers, , has to be unconfessed sin or something wrong he or she has done. We as true believers are covered by the precious blood of Jesus Christ and his finished word of the cross, no longer under the law. Does not mean we can do what we want and get by but the blood of Jesus gets trampled on.
Eph. 2 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God: nothing we can do to earn it, buy it nor do we deserve it, it is unmerrited favor from God, a gift.

None of us have it all right but as true belivers, we are commanded to try, test the spirits to make sure it is of God, and we must discern right from almost right. The doctrines of the bible verses to the doctrines of man. I have said enough and God Bless.

I guess what I am trying to say is are we praying to a false god, another jesus or are we believing another gospel. GOD BLESS!!!!

  24. Carolyn

    @ Timothy
This forum is proving that the Holy Spirit is fully operating through his church in the gift of discernment. While I have been on this site I have experienced many of the other gifts of the Spirit distributed as He wills.
As Pentecostals and Charismatics, we may have had our ideas of the gifts of the Spirit colored by dogmas of those backgrounds. And then follows more of a fortune telling, mind control, divination…gifts of the flesh without knowledge of the Scripture.
We have to begin with a knowledge of the Scriptures, which is totally lacking today in the Churches. That is the point from which all the Gifts flow. Not some esoteric form of sorcery.
And Paul reminds us in 1 Corinthians 13…love is greater than all the gifts. If we know the love of God, then when the Spirit operates one of his Gifts through us, it will be in the Spirit of love.
What is most important is not that we operate in the gifts…but that we know God through his Scriptures, because if we operate without knowledge, who knows where it will lead…well we do know where it will lead because we have the example of false prophets right in front of us today to prove it.
Today, the NAR are on a path contrary to the plans and purposes of God as laid out in his Word. Therefore you get this crazy fortune telling type of “God is doing a new thing”. No he is not. He is doing the same thing that he planned from all eternity and he has not changed his mind.
What are the gifts for? To encourage, strengthen, reinforce, build up IN THE SCRIPTURE, in the faith. It is not our works but his WORK.
It is so great to be with people on this site from all backgrounds whose main focus is the Word, in context, and submissive to God’s timing.
God’s Spirit is present with us to teach us, train us and anoint us, leading us through the Scripture from one end to the other for doctrine, correction, inspiration and training in righteousness. It is all there…we will find him when we seek for him with all our hearts.
The “idea” of the gifts of the Spirit has been greatly misused and misdirected in these days, because the emphasis has been on them and not the Scriptures. They will always support the Scriptures because it is the same Spirit that leads and guides and directs from one end of the history of mankind starting in the Garden of Eden to the setting up of the Millenial Kingdom. And he does it seamlessly.

@highrpm – My advice to you is to get into the Word. I guarantee that God will speak to you as you seek him. My experience has been that when I am restless and cranky that God is not doing anything for me, if I will begin to praise him and exalt him, he will dispel my darkness and bring his light and truth and illuminate my pathway in astounding ways. God Bless you…he loves you more than you can imagine!!! And that was just a gift of the Spirit that I used…do you know which one?

  25. Carolyn

@highrpm – also, the thing that is “missing” will be missing until we cross to the other side. It is the fulfillment of the Promise, it is immortality, it is perfection of knowledge (we know in part- we see through a glass darkly). Yes, something is missing alright! The completion of our faith, when it will be rewarded with sight, when we are united with our Lord and Saviour, when we see Him and the things that we have only experienced in part down here, in perfection and reality.

  26. Sean

    Hello Carolyn, Teresa,

Between the two of you, you expressed my thoughts completely on this subject. Wow!

  27. Teresa

    @ Timothy
Oct 2, 2010 at 11:41 A.M. You said; You make your faith of no value because it is all about Gods interest in His own Glory and Gods divine choice and you have nothing to do with the matter. Timothy, it is all to the glory of God, even the breath we take and when it comes to our salvation, no we have nothing to do with the matter. Eph 2:8-9 8For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9Not of works, lest any man should boast.

This is not about Calvinism or being charismatic: This is about God and his biblical truths. Read Eph 1 and pray that the Lord will open your eyes and heart while you are reading that text. This is not about man and what man can do this is about the sovereignty of God and the true God of the bible. Here are God’s divine attributes (1) God is omnipresent (2) God is omniscient (3) God is omnipotent (4) God is transcendent (5) God is eternal (6) God is unchangeable (7) God is perfect and HOLY (8) God is triune.
God’s moral Attributes (1) God is good (2) God is love (3) God is merciful and gracious (4) God is compassionate (5) God is patient (longsuffering)
    (6) God is truth (7) God is faithful (8) Finally, God is just.

Timothy; the Word of Faith movement, The New Apostolic Reformation, and other so called religious movements (including the new age movement) are man centered doctrines. They have dethroned God and enthroned themselves. By reading your comment that is what you have done. All about man and what man can do.
You said in your post you said talking to us “You dont belive in the power of God” When I look up in the heaven, I see God power, when I look at his creation, I see God power, when I look in the mirror, I see God power. I do not believe in these false movement or all these false prophets or this counterfeit christianity that is before my eyes. I am a true believer in the word of God and what Jesus Christ did on the cross, that is God’s power.
We are commissioned to preach the gospel; Christ and Christ crucifed. The doctrines of Jesus Christ all to the Glory of God. God bless.

  28. Carolyn

Sean, thank you for that confirmation. I know that was an instruction/word from the Lord. I had no intention of answering Timothy because I thought it was someone else’s turn but no one else was saying anything so there it was…it rolled onto the set as though scripted. You may have said it a little differently, but the thought was the same. And God confirms his prophecy/message of wisdom by other witnesses such as yourself.
Being raised in Pentecostal circles, we were taught the 9 gifts of the spirit are like a neat little package…I now believe that they are a more of a representation of the operation of the Spirit; they difine His work but to put an exact name to each utterance is not always that definitive.
Anyhow, as long as the body is encouraged, the labels are not so important as the Spirit’s ministry. May God always be exalted!
    Teresa…I concur.

  29. Carolyn

@ Ruitje and anyone else who has some input. I also still speak in tongues…sometimes I am praising the Lord and the Spirit is just so strong that I break into a language not my own. I go with the flow. But I have seen so much abuse in the past that I am probably cautious to the extreme now.

I certainly don’t have all the answers but I think that having distanced myself from the extreme and counterfeit now for the past 10 years has brought me into the realm of the real and Spirit controlled operation of His ministry. The Lord has taught me a few things even while on this site…like not letting my own reactions surface in place of what the Spirit is saying. When I have distorted his ministry with my own reactive sarcasm I get this grief in my spirit that is just sickening in order to teach me…don’t do that! I’m learning…but a slow process because I am so atuned to my natural man.

I also realize that not everything that we say is going to be Spirit inspired. It’s just a conversation sometimes, but I am at times, delighted with how the Spirit works! When you hear Truth, it is “the savour of life”; it hits you in the inner most parts of your being, mind, heart and spirit and does a transforming work. Unless of course you don’t want to hear what He has to say and then it is “the smell of death”.
    Hebrews 6:9
9Even though we speak like this, dear friends, WE ARE CONFIDENT OF BETTER THINGS IN YOUR CASE–things that accompany salvation.

  30. Barry

I wrote that we need 2 be encouraged in the Lord and I beleive that is a true statement.I would ask that somone would remember 2 pray for my wife and I as we need encouragement at this tme.Our fellowship has ceased and we are struggeling with issues.I wish I could express more but I have a hard time putting it down on paper.Thank u and God Bless u

  31. cowbelle

Barry we understand, we have been through the same thing, and also struggling, there are many that we meet going through the same thing. I wish there was a forum or something we could share to build trust. I have not put my name only to protect members of my family. We can identify with those who have shared about themselves in this group. We don’t want to sit and hear error, I don’t care who is teaching or what their name is, we want truth and truth only. We do not believe the tithe teaching is for the new testement believers. Paul said not to give under compulsary. Did you know that the tithe in America was not taught until the late 1800s???
2Co 9:7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. I am so burned out on church as we know it, I am tired of manipulation, control, and a one man show if you will. Please keep us in prayer also. God bless you and your family real good. from Cowbelle

  32. cowbelle

One more thought, when we was in the United Pentecostal they preached tithe, and the curse if you didn’t, as per Malachi. It never seemed right to me, it instilled fear, and didn’t promote the personal relationship with Christ. It put people back under the bondage of the law. Jesus Christ came to fullfill the law, and he did not come from the tribe of Levi, which was the levitical priesthood. He came from the tribe of Judah which means tribe of Praise. Hallelujah. Direct descendant from King David who Love the Lord and also who God gave a promise of his sure mercies Psalm 89. If you read all of Acts 13 you will find an awesome thing. Act 13:34 And as concerning that he raised him up from the dead, now no more to return to corruption, he said on this wise, I will give you the sure mercies of David.
This is a direct connection from King David to Jesus Christ. I am so thankful for his mercy to me. My Kinsman Redeemer. We are free in Christ. God bless you from cowbelle

  33. Teresa

@ Carolyn, Sean , Barry Thank you guy’s

I was not going to comment either but I knew I had to. I was concerned that maybe I came on to strong with Timothy, I will speak God truth and I will content for the faith. I want to encourage Timothy to seek God for his truth and only the truth of his word. Do not read no one else books or listen to no one elses sermons, only read the word of God and pray for God’s truth.
I came out of the Charismatic Church 2 years ago. I never did receive the gift of tongues. I thought I did but I truly was mocking people, sick I know. Speaking in tongues and the gifts of the spirit are not essentials for salvation. If we do not understand the biblical essentials for salvation, and the true conversion of the heart (which is a super natual work of God int he heart that only God can do), and what Jesus Christ did for us on the cross, then we have nothing.
This is truly not about man and what man can do. This is about being a servant, preaching the gospel, the simpilicity of the gospel, not all this extra-biblical revelation stuff and who has the gift and who does not.
None of this matter as long as we understand the TRUE Gospel of Jesus Christ and the doctrine layed out in the scriptures.
The gifts that the LORD gave me is Jesus Christ who died for my sins and saved a wretch like me, who did not deserve this gift. I love you guy’s thanks.

Thank u 4 writing back.I beleive in Jesus and that he shed his blood 4 my sins that I could receive Gods forgiveness and his righteouness.I beleive he rose again from the tomb he was placed in and that tomb is empty.I beleive in the cross and the power of the cross,I beleive that without the preaching of the cross there is no gospel,I beleive in the blood of Jesus and that it is the agent that cleanses us from all sin and that it contiues 2 cleanse us as we confess our sins to God and ask for his forgiveness.I beleive in the Holy Ghost and that he comes to live in us when we are born again,I beleive he leads us into all truth concerning God.I beleive in the word of God and that the word of God was made flesh and dwelt among us,JESUS.I beleive there is no other name that man can call upon 2 be saved.I beleive Jesus is sitting at the right hand of the Father,I beleive he will come again and receive us unto himself that where he is we may be also.I do beleive in the gifts and that God gives them as he deems.I beleive they are for the building up of the body of Christ, but without love we can be noisy cymbals and clanging gongs.I beleive that the word of God is his revelation of himself to mankind. There is more I beleive about God,these are just a few,I hope I didnt go on to much.I was just inspired to write as I read your posts.

    Hello Barry,

I’m sure the people here will pray for the Lord to carry you through this time of struggle. I certainly will. May He bless your family brother.

  36. Teresa

I have something to share from my own experience. At my old church in West Virginia, they really pushed baptism of the Holy Spirit with the manifestations of speaking in tongues. Some believed if you did not speak in tongues, you were not spirit filled (I do not believe that) You shall know them by their fruits (fruits of the spirit) Leadership or altar workers would pray with people at the altar not knowing if they are truely converted or not. Having not taken them through the scriptures, to show them in the word of God that they are sinners on their way to hell, (you must know that you are a sinner, before you can know that you need a savior) Not showing these sinners in the word the beauty of what Jesus did on the cross in our stead. No, they would by pass all that, gather around them speaking in tongues, saying come on open your mouth and start speaking sylables, like a baby learning to talk, don’t speak English cause you can not do both. Come on, there it is, you got it, you got it. I can hear those word today, no wonder I was mocking because they taught me how to speak in tongues. This happened all the time, and I would not see the fruit of no true heart conversion.
There were self-appointed prophets in my old church, who would have classes on how to hear from God and how to speak a prophetic word over somebody life and I was guilty of this myself. I did not know this at the time but these self-appointed prophets learned and when to seminiars with the New Apostolic Reformation bunch, like John Paul Jackson, Dutch Sheets, Cindy Jacobs, Steve Thompson, Heidi Baker. Ususally at Vineyard churches.
The New apostolic Reformation have conferences on how to speak in tongues, how to prophecy, who to speak prophetic words over people, how to hear God’s voice, how to heal people and so does the word of faith movement.
These are gifts from God, no one can not teach people how to do these things. This would be like trying to teach the “fruits of the spirit” These gifts are given by the Spirit of God not taught to someone by a man.
So am I leary, yes. Do I believe God heals, yes I do. Do I believe these gifts are in operation today, or do I believe they have ceased, scripturally I do not know yet.
I do know this that the NT is full of warnings about lying signs and wonders. I know that false prophets will perform great signs and wonder to deceive.
I know that the LORD warned be about the “doctrines of Balaam” and to flee from false prophets and these movements. I
I know that I love the truth of God’s word and these gifts are non-essentials, so all in due time the Holy Spirit will help me and guide me into all truths.

No one is denying God’s power, we are testing the spirits to make sure they are of God. That is a command from God.

    Doug says:
    October 1, 2010 at 8:25 am
Hello everyone-been gone a while-simply put, I trust God to deliver His people from error, in His time, though many of us spend/spent years in churches that are teaching error. It may take years, decades, but God has His reasons for all that He does.
If Chrystal, for example, had not been in Charismatic churches, if she had been raised in a Baptist church, she probably wouldn’t have created this site.
God put her (and many of us) into those churches and then drew her (us) out, just as He drew His children out of their Egypt.
I think Doug’s comment bears repeating and I would add this Scripture:
    2 Peter 2:9
if this is so, then THE LORD KNOWS HOW TO RESCUE GODLY MEN FROM TRIALS and to hold the unrighteous for the day of judgment, while continuing their punishment.
We are very time conscious down here. Waiting for the Lord’s grace to be worked out in us and our circumstances is the hardest thing for us. All we can see at the moment is our misery and the cliff that we are hanging from. But if we will wait, persevere in faith, God will complete what he is doing. That is the important thing. He is at work…it seems like chaos in our lives, but sometimes he has to really allow things to get ugly, to bust up our vain imaginations and the shacks of self righteousness that we have erected to live under, in order to build his works into our lives…his authority, his truth. Only then will we be ready to begin operating by his Spirit rather than BY our own human genius. We must stop panicking…and getting angry…which leads to irrational behaviour and speaking. Instead remember that God does what he says he will do…just not according to our time schedule.

@ Barry – we will remember to pray for you. Please remember to look up and not around. Our circumstances are not the reality. Our faith is the reality. Start to praise God for these trials and see what He will do! Sometimes the chaos never seems to end but God gives us a shelter in the storm, a harbour of safety…where there is a peace and calm in our spirits…I can only try to explain it…but there it is.
We love you brother! Take courage.

  38. Teresa

@Barry YOU be encouraged in the LORD, during your struggle you continue to rejoice in the LORD, the joy of the LORD is our strength. I pray for you and your wife a peace that passes all understanding. The LORD says I will never leave you nor forsake you. In our weakness, he is made strong. God bless you and we are praying. We are here to listen to you anytime our friend. God bless Love you guy’s

  39. vintagegirl

Yes, Barry, take courage and know that you are not alone, and we are praying for you. And don’t forget that Jesus promises NEVER to leave you, nor forsake you. Rest in Him. He is worthy, and He will carry you.

  40. Carolyn

I hear you, Teresa. I have been so badly burned by that element that I have just stayed as far away from the teachings of the gifts of the Spirit as I can. But the truth is that the Spirit doesn’t need those “teachings” to operate through us. In spite of us, the Spirit gets said what needs to be said and done what needs to be done.

I too, have had such crazy experiences. As a child I went to a Pentecostal camp in Northern Ontario every summer with my parents. Every night we were invited to the altar to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. That was a major focus. For the Pentecostals, that was the “fullness of the Holy Spirit”. The effect of that was that it turned us into elitists who thought that those that didn’t speak in tongues were inferior somehow to those of us that did. Never mind that the Scriptures were left behind in the dust.

Looking back at my growing up years in the Pentecostal church in our town, oh!! The horror of it all. The sermons were legalistic, we were yelled at from the pulpit with frothy and superficial messages and the prophecies were dominated by one old lady who always talked in the first person…”my people” in this unnatural, irritating, screechy voice. And no wonder my friends and our youth group got into listening to Brownsville revivals on tapes and watching Benny Hinn. It was a little excitement.

There was little Scripture in those days to anchor us to reality. Just tongues speakin’ , Jesus talkin’ , supernatural seekin’ and God chasing camp meetin’s. Like I said, horrifying.

Then I moved to British Columbia, in my 20’s and progressed into all the WOF movement. I got thoroughly soaked in their teachings. By my 30’s I was flowing into the NAR. But by then I was starting to soak in the Word and was beginning to question a lot of things. Like being in this church called “New Beginnings” I heard all about the 5 fold ministry which was foreign to my Bible reading. And also, this new prophet from South Africa was prophesying all kinds of grand futures for people that I knew to be living in sin. (A Todd Bentley – Rick Joyner scenario) That was the time period and the very same town, Abbotsford, BC Canada, in which Pat Cocking (now Patricia King from Extreme Prophetic) and Todd Bentley a little later (same town!!!) were beginning to rise to fame.

Then came a final move to a northern community where I got immersed in a wild and wacky community of legalistic Mennonites who had been indoctrinated into NAR and wow…now that was a combination! And the wildest of times.

So the craziness of all! Yes, been there done that. Looking, seeking, searching always searching. Finally realizing what I was searching for was the Truth. End of story.

Not that my story ended; not by a long shot, but the emptiness of searching for water in the dry and dusty wilderness ended. It’s good to be home….

  41. Teresa

    @ Carolyn
My experience was about 5 to 6 at length. It was exciting, to say the least. I did eat and drink of it, not guilt free. I was becoming a devil stomping, demon chasing fanatic.
I really thought that I was going to be the great deliver. The gift of discerning of spirits that God has given me, I thought was for a deliverance ministry, but was I ever wrong. I know now, the gift was to protect me from false teachings such as this.
Before I began to research the Holy Spirit lead me to, two different books of the bible. Luke and Matthew. Matt. 7:21-23 21Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Luke 10:20 Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.

When the LORD took me to those two scriptures I knew that God was trying to tell me something and it caught my attention.
That was when I really began to seek truth, God’s truth.

@ Carolyn You mentioned the 5-fold ministry. “Mark Duplantis” Jesse Duplantis brother. He did this teaching at my old church. Here is that link

Now I am right behind him in the choir and that teaching went right over my head.
Then the LORD sent me to the church of a female pastor who is under Bill Hamon.
Bill Hamon is Manifest sons of God doctrine big into the five fold ministry and “NAR”
It never ceases to amaze me how God has to put you in the middle of a mess to open your eyes and then delivers you safely, out of the mess. Love you guy’s

  42. Rev's Kate & Rich M.

Carolyn– you are one funny woman– that was a great story, soooo typical.

What can I say? Here in the NYC outskirts a little more sophisticated, but the same old same old, it makes me laugh. Such baloney! Welcome home, sojourner. K

  43. Rev's Kate & Rich M.

Hi Cowbelle– don’t you just loathe that tithe/curse/Malachi “out there” law thing? I’m happy you have sense–oh Lordy, was I under that insane, crrrrrazy thinking–yes, but no more. Have a wonderful night, beloved. K

  44. highrpm

my story is similar, but reversed: we grew up attending a small wesleyan methodist church. its main focus was living a “sanctified holy” life, i.e.,not sinning. periodically, travelling evangelists came through, always preaching fire and brimstone–to the same audience, the small group of members, and always ending with the altar call. (gee, how many times did we have to get “saved” to satisfy these guys and our own fear of god?)

in high school, we found bethany fellowship, a mission-focused group, who offered staff and students a small living quarters and employment making camping trailers. they really pounded the drum of “death to self”, misfocusing on “sinless perfection” rather than “your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in the heavens.” (leonard ravenhill was a regular speaker at their conferences.)

my older brother and sister attended bethany’s missionary training center. but my brother quit just before graduation because he could no longer live the lie of “sinless perfection.” today, he is retired and still unable to reconcile being a christian with sinning.

after attending “campus church”, catering to university students and pastored by ernest o’neill, a big espouser of “death to self, romans 6:6”, i walked away from that message after graduation, tiring of never measuring up. when my career life crashed and burned several years later, i hooked up with the charismatics because they embraced miraculous results, and i needed one to get my career back on course. and, hey, it worked well, at first: when our young family became homeless because of my inability to stay employed in my degree field, we moved in with my parents. we quickly sought out the baptism of the holy spirit to give us strength to get through this hell. i prayed in tongues a lot. after 1-1/2 years, i heard god’s voice tell me “leave [for california] tonight; if you do not, i will not be with you.” i called my wife at her temp job, she agreed and told her boss she would not be back, and we packed what little we could and left. talk about perfect timing: upon arriving in the la area, we immediately found a hotel room and food for 6 weeks at orange coast interfaith shelter in costa mesa, ca. not finding a job, we left for the bay area and again immediately got a hotel room and food for 6 weeks at a local shelter. this time, i found a job, took it on the condition that i complete a task in a certain time–a near impossible deadline that i miraculously met, and we found a nice home at the end of our stay. god had kept his promise. we began attending the vineyard. our local bodies embraced signs and wonders but not in a big way like the nar’s do, e.g. bill johnson’s bethel, redding ca. the biggest thing about the vineyard then was its ccw. while we were with them, they embraced the kc prophets for a short while, quickly disassociating themselves after determining many prophecies were false. at the same time, i got hooked on word of faith by watching tbn and pastor gene scott. but wof never worked for us. after 15 years, shortly after our youngest son moved out, our marriage unraveled. now i am just a charismatic, still holding out for the gifts.

my other siblings: 2 sisters and their husbands are garb (general association of regular baptist churches–whatever that means); they are ultra-dispensationalists and believe more in the “truth” rather than fruits; i characterize them “by their truth you shall know them”. they are hyper-judgmental, with little compassion for the poor and needy, always judging how “responsible” these folks will be with any financial and housing help they get. (that bothers me because jesus freely helped the needy; even paul does not qualify our helping the needy, eph 4:28.) another sister is hyper-charismatic, pro-rick joyner, todd bently, jim bakker. one brother is roman catholic. another does not attend church. and all us from parents who were multi-generational missouri synod lutherans.

the interesting thing is that i have no traumatic memories of my charismatic experiences. but i do of the sanctification and sinless perfection messages of my youth. i hate those years; i think those churches and their guilt-tripping messages contributed to my low social intelligence and the resulting many traumas of not fitting in at high school, college and career.

  45. Carolyn

highrpm, very interesting to hear your journey. It IS opposite of mine.
I think THAT deadness is the reason why the Mennonite church that we got involved in was ripe for the NAR, charismatic shananigans. They were the most straight-laced, legalistic, prudish, prim and proper folks going. They ran their church school like a military regime and my kids, (in Grade 10 and 11 at the time), lasted one year in that environment. The girls even had to wear skirts in their gym classes and competitions with other schools! Oh yes, they had a whole set of their own hypocrisy and silly notions.
So when they loosened up a little with this new prophetic “move” in their services, it was a breath of fresh air, but unfortunately, the wrong breath.

All of this “religion” whether it be Methodist, Pentecostal or Mennonite or NAR…what is the difference? Would you believe, none of the above?

God is a God of Truth and it is how we treat the Truth that matters.
I remember one of the defining moments of change in my life was when I realized that movies were more real to me than the Word of God. So I got serious, turned off the tv and started reading and listening the the Word with all my heart. That was a major turning point in my life because the Word became alive to me. The Christ of the Scriptures started to speak to me, the Living Waters started to quench my thirst and the Bread of Life started to feed me. Up until then, it had been “religion”.

But still, I had these mystical tendencies that just clung to me like tar to a tar baby and so along with the Truth, I still practiced mysticism, thinking that it was all part and parcel of the same. I still read Richard Foster and Madame Guyon, AB Simpson and Rick Joyner…it wasn’t till something so false, so tangibly evil arose in our midst…a false prophet who distorted the Truth, that I had to make a choice.
And after that, I lost friends, family and a spouse. The Lord had to show me on at least five or six occasions, the treachery that had formed against me in order for me to “get it” because I was inclined to make peace with the devil. He fairly had to lead me away like the angel led Lot away from the fire.

It comes down to how we treat the Truth. Because the Scriptures are not religion! People turn it into religion. They are Truth, dealing with our hearts, our futures, our thoughts, our relationship with Him, our sin, repentence, awareness of evil, history God’s character and guidance, examples to learn from and principles of grace to live by.
It’s how we treat the Truth that matters in the end. Will we forsake all to follow the Truth? God will not share his glory with idols, so sooner or later he will lead us to make a decision. Truth or religion? Truth or Mysticism? Truth or Fantasy?
Today, I treat the Truth with highest regard, just because it is the only thing that has remained true to me. Everything else has crumbled. It’s not my own resolve or my own determination or the works I do, or my smartness in decision making, not the right choices I’ve made or the success that I’ve experienced or even the sacrifices that I have made that hold any satisfaction for me. I can truly say with Paul:
    Philippians 3:8
What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ.
Yes, I agree with you, the religion of our youth, yours and mine, held us in bondage; the legalism, the guilt trips, the elitism, and the resulting low EQ. But that was religion…and God’s Truth is freedom, love and His umlimited power! Let’s move on in what he has for us. I learn something new every day. I don’t take myself very seriously anymore. But the Truth…I take very seriously.
Remember, there is man’s boundaries (religion) and then there is BUT GOD….
Thanks for sharing your heart, brother! Keep sharing and growing with us.

  46. Carolyn

To Sweet Kate. I’ll take that as a compliment. At least you didn’t say funny old woman. Yes. when I moved from a little mining community in Northern Ontario to a rich farming community in British Columbia, I found that the aristrocrats have their own versions of apostacy. The false prophets use more eloquence to disguise their error.
    Take care! love you!

  47. Sean

    Hello hirpm,

I agree with you about the hyper Wesleyan slant. In fact, I had a conversation with a Wesleyan Pastor on that subject last week. His stand was much further away from the extreme that you’ve described, but still we had to agree to disagree.

I guess false teaching is false teaching no matter what the area and people suffer because of it. I think the solution is like Teresa has said. Get into the word and discover what the Lord is saying first-hand.

I had the worst of both worlds, a Wesleyan Pastor who was a hyper-charismatic wannabe. I wasn’t traumatized, but I had to clear up the false concepts with my family after every sermon. It’s pretty annoying having to do that. The last straw was when the guy tried to promote Bentley. That’s another story. It shows the importance of cherishing truth.

  48. Rev's Kate & Rich M.

C– what’s so bad about being a funny old woman, anyway? Please don’t even answer…
    Just a rhetorical question. Are you a baby-boomer? K

  49. Carolyn

@ Kate…WTH, I am 55, and proud of it. With just enough wisdom by my age to embrace the Wisdom of the Ages.
My M.O. (that’s Modus Operandi for those of you who don’t watch enough Ms. Marple) is as follows:
I have the heart of a 20 year old, the face of a mackerel (I got that off Grumpier Old Men) – actually I look 10 years younger than my age…always have and always will if I have anything to do about it…
I have the computer smarts of a walnut – Will use Excel only if absolutely necessary
I hate parsnips…everything else is fair game as long as it looks good on the plate
Totally dependent on coffee and my thyroxin to mobilize me
Have been a walking time bomb for years and someday will gladly say so long, farewell my friends, see you tomorrow as I go merrily tripping through the fields of heaven
And I love to laugh…the best medicine ever discovered…besides Ms. Marple, of course.
Take care, my friends! God is, as always, more willing to give than we are to receive of his grace, gifts and generosity! His Truth is timeless, His Ways are Wisdom and his Love is Lavish. Experience it all, welcome it all!

  50. Teresa

You guy’s make me laugh so much. I read these comments and just laugh so hard sometimes. My husband thinks I’m nuts cause I will start laughing for no reason. He says; what is so funny. I always say it is my goofy christian friends and their comments. Love you guy’s.

  51. Rev's Kate & Rich M.

Oh my God you girls! Carolyn, Ms. Marple ( keep using your anti-aging cream, girl) my Mom watched that one; Teresa, Cowbelle, Chrystal, Vintage, Mykala, you make me laugh because you have such pure hearts and with no hypocrisy.

You’d better keep laughing, because we need the healthy release of hormones to keep us alive– and 55, Carolyn, you are a young woman and I love you–so far away all of you and yet so close in Christ and that is the mastery of the Savior, He connects His children.

Women, we have a connection that is supernatural, because we understand and know each other in Christ– no offense men, but that’s how God made us! But, we are all here to give Him the glory… for our differences, yet for our samensss. Boys, do not feel left out, ’cause you’re not–you’re buddies!

Am I making sense? I love Grumpier Old Men; love parsnips and winter veggies roasted with a nice piece of beef or chicken, in winter; I am on synthroid, and I intend to go to Heaven when He calls me– in the meantime we must stay healthy so we girls can rip the heck out of Satan and his lying bunch of fools. Yeah! Go team “G’s “. K

  52. Carolyn

Thank you Teresa. It’s nice to know that my feeble attempts at comedy are appreciated by someone! love you back!

  53. cowbelle

okay i have never tried parsnips to my knowledge, but ewwww asparagus, when I was a kid they served it on a ship we were on coming back to the states. My dad was in the milatary. The ocean and asparagus just doesn’t mix, didn’t like it then and wont touch it with a ten foot pole. lolololol Now broccoli is a different matter, give me broccoli with my chicken chinese stir fry and I am a happy camper. Here is a tube song, comedy, I pray you guys get a laugh out of this one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vnOptsxmsso Chinese Combo no.5
I appreciate you guys from cowbelle

  54. Carolyn

Mama in her nightgown and me in my cap had just settled down for a long winter’s nap…When what to my wondering eyes should appear but a sleigh full of giggling girls; in a moment I awoke and sprang from my chair to see such a sight that I danced through the nite to the sound of Combo No. 5 (loved that song, Cowbelle)
…Got a few more zzzzzz’s while tossing a broccoli through the air and dodging a sugar plum that danced in my head. Not a creature was stirring, then someone shrieked, (I think it was Eli (pronounced Ellie), “eek it’s a mouse”; and when all was quiet I heard the jolly one say, as she rose through the chimney, “a good nite to all and to all a good nite!” Whew! that was tiring. And very silly…sorry guys…I couldn’t help myself…I’m finished, I promise.

  55. cowbelle

lol Carolyn, thank you, we need comedy relief. You know I left the United Pentecostal denomination in 1990. But we didn’t leave Jesus. They told us that bad things would happen to us, but I got on my knees and cried out to the Lord and I heard these words in my heart, so I looked it up in the bible, Ezr 9:8 And now for a little space grace hath been shewed from the LORD our God, to leave us a remnant to escape, and to give us a nail in his holy place, that our God may lighten our eyes, and give us a little reviving in our bondage.
Ezr 9:9 For we were bondmen; yet our God hath not forsaken us in our bondage, but hath extended mercy unto us in the sight of the kings of Persia, to give us a reviving, to set up the house of our God, and to repair the desolations thereof, and to give us a wall in Judah and in Jerusalem.
This morning this song came to me, What a friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and griefs to bear, what a priviledge to carry everything to God in prayer. I think most everyone knows this song. You know I have spent the last 20 years learning about this What a friend we have in Jesus. I still feel somewhere between first base and second base. I know this is in proverbs, but I believe Jesus is our friend also
Pro 18:24 A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother. I want to grow in Him, learn to cast all my cares on him, and overcome the fear and legalism that they instilled. With all the crazy things happening I long for his Love, Help us Dear Precious Jesus, draw us closer to you, hide us under the shadow of your wings. love from Cowbelle 58 years old.

  56. Carolyn

Cowbelle, Praise God, he leads us out from bondage and gives us the song of the redeemed. So good to hear…thanks for sharing. Very encouraging.

  57. Rev's Kate & Rich M.

You girls are a rip! Cowbelle, what’s up–get a grip w/ the asparagus, it’s delcioso!
Carolyn 12:19 am, you need to go to sleep (you are becoming delirious), that was too funny, you be silly, ya hear?

My husband asks me what’s going on when I get on here as he hears me laughing–I just tell him the truth: we are crrrraaazzy chicks just havin’ some good, clean, well deserved fun. He just came in here a minute ago, he’s watching the NY Yankees and we’re winning, score 6 and Minnesota 1, over…yippee!

That scripture from Ezra 9 is very powerful, Ms. Cowbelle, wow! Boy do I remember that “curse” thingy, nut stuff put on us; can you imagine, God’s children cursing one another, that’s terrible (but all BALONEY!). Just thinking about it makes my skin crawl–so absolutely inappropriate and sinful.

Anyway, I’ll never tell my age, so you’ll have to pull my fingernails and toenails out with a needlenosed pliers and stick steel pins into my eyes, hee hee!

Goodnight and sweet dreams and God’s best to everyone! Wow it’s like 12:00 almost :) K zzzzzzz

  58. Teresa

Cowbelle do, they have pink duct tape? It will go with her pink heart and her teeny tiny pink arms.
Hope you enjoyed your deer meat Teresa. I just remembered the second thing I don’t like…too wild tasting.
Had turkey today as it was Thanksgiving in Canada. Moist and delicious on one side and tough and stringy on the other…like good and evil. The evil stuff went in the soup pot.

Barry, my Canadian friend…how was your turkey?

believe it or not there is pink duck tape, lolol, I am old fashioned give me some good steak and mmm good, with a baked potato. Happy Thanksgiving to you. I have been going al a naturelle in my hair for quite some time now. Gets expensive to use the color. I noticed that alot of women my age has done the same thing in my area so I don’t feel alone. Thank the Lord. Still laughing about that duck tape. Love from Cowbelle

Carolyn, how wonderful! Happy Thanksgiving my Canadian friends, I am blessed to know you.

Your holiday brings joy to my heart.

How did your holiday originate–does it have a connection with the American Thanksgiving? So, so wonderful. K

  69. Rev's Kate & Rich M.

Cowbelle–you gotta sell the kids for haircolor, ya hear? Use L’Oreal, not too expensive and covers the gray–ugh, I can’t believe I am even talking about this on this site!

Well, now it’s out there on the internet. God bless you, my dear sister. Who say’s Slaughter of the Sheep can’t address women’s questions and concerns; Chrystal IS gracious. K
