E. Bernard Jordan: Prophets Prophesying Falsely

Have you ever noticed that when false prophets prophesy, they say that the things they are prophesying about will happen in a way “you have never seen before?”  Yet, there is no visible witness that their word has come to pass, and God’s power isn’t being vulgarly displayed through the signs and wonders they predict will happen.  While the deceived are watching for signs and wonders, those who are truly spiritually discerning can see that deception is escalating at a mind-numbing clip.

In this video, E. Bernard Jordan, father of Manasseh Jordan, prophesies about teachers leaving classrooms, America becoming bilingual, men dressed in green, dogs upon the ropes (don’t ask me), the mantle of the prophet coming upon the scene in a way never seen before (see, there it is), anointed men and women being placed in the forefront because new revelation will come forth, and a change in the way church is done.  It will no longer be done the way it has been done in the past.

He then prophesies that those who want to start businesses need to have them incorporated before the end of 2010, because the rules are going to change from 2011 and beyond because there will be changes in economic structures, changes in immigration, changes in health care (you don’t have to be a false prophet to know that), and even a rapid change in currency.  Such changes that, once they come, you will be living life on a whole different level (there it is again).  But, he tells the people not to fear, because the Lord has said He will sit among them in His tabernacle, and they will witness His plan like they have never known (yep, there it is….again).

His speech becomes more ridiculous as it goes along.  He predicts that people will see and hear God in the wind, new discoveries will be made in science and technology, a shifting in industry, commerce coming out of Africa, businesses setting up in nations you have never heard of by name, a resetting of the “clock” on the continent of Africa, great shifting of governments in 2012 (perhaps he’s referring to election day), and the emerging of radical voices and radical faith.  He then goes on to say there will be an emerging of a new generation of believers who won’t look like “church” but will instead look like “the street” and people won’t know by looking at them that they are from the church.  He says these believers will be a new army of radical believers who will be radical thinkers.

In all of his much speaking, he never speaks of the gospel of Jesus Christ.  He has much to say about business, government, and everything but the truth of Scripture.  While they want new revelation, none will be given to them because God revealed Himself and His redemptive plan for mankind through His Son, Christ Jesus.  Everything revolves around Jesus.  Everything.

I shake my head when I think that people actually believe men like Jordan speak for God.  They’re setting the bar pretty low, wouldn’t you say?

I’ve heard so much of this jumbled lingo. I attended a couple of these prophetic churches years ago when I didn’t know anything about anything. But even then their strange teachings seemed dubious. I remember hearing the phrase, “God is doing a new thing” over and over and the 5 fold ministry was just being introduced. I asked myself, “where are they getting this stuff?” I just couldn’t see it in the Bible. And now that I am down the road a few years…I see that it was all foolishness, wizardry and fortune telling. This guy sounds like he is making it up as he goes. I am so thankful for the discernment ministries…they are a beacon on a hill shining forth the true gospel and giving people like me answers when I was dazed and confused.

What’s with the hand thing he is doing? Simply awkward and a downright liar. These men have become so self absorbing, that they believe their own lies and know not truth anymore.

On behalf of all the discernment ministries out there, thank you. Your words are a blessing and inspiration to us all.

God bless you, and to God be the glory.

For the first 9 1/2 minutes, this moron is supposedly giving direct revelation from the throne room to the congregants. When he runs out of things to say, he reverts to speaking in tongues. Why ? Did the Holy Spirit supposedly tire of giving the message in english ? Sorry, this guy doesn’t even qualify as being a false prophet, he’s just not intelligent enough. It just seems like everyone is getting in on the act these days. Maybe he just wants some of the action his son is getting ; that way he doesnt have to hold down 9 to 5 job – his son is living proof that one can live very well off the avails of others by pulling the wool over everyones eyes.

I wonder if he opened his eyes and got rid of the trance-like appearance if God would still talk to him. It always amazes me how clearly this stuff is, “learned behavior.” Even if this was of God, and it is NOT, do you have to act as if you are in some sort of trance or semi-conscious state so that God can talk to you? Frankly, those that support heretics like this are as much to blame as the heretics themselves. Someone is writing checks to keep these people in business — they are partakers of their sin.

Commerce coming out of Africa?!!? I just left Africa and that’s ridiculous. It is a third world nation.

    E. Bernard Jordon, if you’re reading this, just bow your head, repent (turn) from doing this and start over.

  7. Eli

Robert L – In the words of P.T. Barnum, “there’s a sucker born every minute”. They play on that.

  8. Mike Larsen

THUS SAITH THE LORD: “I’m going to change the way information is dispensed in this nation and throughout the world.” Hmmmm…… maybe he’s referring to the new 4G iPhone method.

America shall be bilingual???? What in the world is THAT supposed to mean? Some people are bilingual; some people aren’t; some don’t care to be. What a crock of rubbish. And we’ll see men dressed in green….ya, that’s called the BORDER PATROL, Mr. Jordan, and most of them are bilingual so they can talk to illegal aliens and tell them why they are being arrested for crossing into our country. And they also use dogs that sniff for drugs. (does this mean I have the gift of interpretation?)

And what’s up with the HUGE picture of his son’s face on the stage?

New revelation? There is no “new” revelation. God has communicated all that we need for life and Godliness. Anything “new” is accursed.

changes, changes, changes, changes….yes, there will be changes. They are inevitable due to the evil age we live in. It doesn’t take a prophet to point that out. Just read the Bible and you’ll see that. He talks of new currency, new laws, things affecting business, healthcare, etc. But, WHERE IS THE GOSPEL, Mr. Jordan? I think God would have us do more for lost souls rather than worry about incorporating our business before the end of 2010. Good grief. And we’ll see him in the blowing of the wind by the 21st of March. Um, ok.

I have to stop there because I’ll be writing all day if I keep it up. And as they pan the cameras over the crowd, people are just soaking it up and others are writing it down. I would hope, rather, that they are writing it down to “test the spirit”. I think they will find him to be quite the false prophet.

This is sad to watch. I think a lot of these guys just stand around and they think the whatever pops into their mind as they “focus on the Lord” is supposedly the Spirit of God directing their thoughts and they call it “prophecy” when what is really happening is that they are rehashing CNN or MSNBC as it is filtered through their mind. Sad indeed.

    In His service,

It is getting harder and harder to harder to be a part of a “charismatic” church. All around me I see people run to these nut-jobs and believe every word out of their mouths.

This man and the people believing him need prayer. They represent an extremely large part of the American church of today and it should concern those of us who see through it greatly. Since our battle is not against flesh and blood there is no need to call these people names or feel in any way we are better. As for myself I thank God I know the difference for God has graced me with discernment. Let us begin to pray for them and ask God to give freely to them discernment as He has given it to us. As a nurse I work with many psychiatric patients with many different ideas about life and the one thing they all have in common is that they BELIEVE in there delusions. These preachers and the churches they serve seem almost the same to me in that they BELIEVE in their delusions. This belief seems to be served rather than God. I have talked to alot of people from different beliefs and it seems they will fight for their BELIEF in something even if you show them in the Word their error. For me this only means we must fight this battle through prayer. We are all this world has. When you know the truth, I mean the real truth of Gods word and His heart there comes with it a responsibility. Let those of us then who see through this begin to pray in love for those who cannot see, remember Jesus came for the sick.

If someone is looking for the truth, it doesn’t matter if your personality is soft and nurturing or a little comical and sarcastic. They will hear the truth as the Holy Spirit directs. If a person is not looking, no matter how nice we are, they still will not hear. And taking a look at how the Word of the Lord came to the prophets of old, it came bold and pointed to these false teachers, calling them liars, stubborn hearted, stiff necked and self directed. Jesus also did not mince words when he called them white washed graves. The Holy Spirit is not afraid to call names…as long as we recognize that we walk humbly with our God. It is his truth, not ours. I had a Pentecostal upbringing and I was very comfortable with charismatics until my house of cards fell. It was then that I realized that all was not well with my belief system. And that’s when I started looking outside the box. And when I started looking, the answers were there as the Holy Spirit directed. I was just so starving for people who were actually speaking from the Word and not from their minds and hearts. I appreciated the study of the Word. It was so different from the mystical meanderings that I had been raised on. So, thanks again to Bud Press and to all those who have taken the time to study where these “deep sayings” and “strange teachings” have come from and have been unafraid to separate truth from fiction even if it means naming names and confronting the anger of those offended by the truth. One day they might just be ready to hear what the Spirit is saying! If we take a lesson from Stephen in Acts, we will know what we believe and be ready to lay it out plain and direct regardless of the consequences. And I appreciate all the comments above. Not one is a stray arrow in God’s hand.

I really had to laugh at this. These people really make me laugh. I’m glad you responded with this article because I’ve been studying/reading MATTHEW. Twice CHRIST was asked about signs and wonders but, he responded by saying only evil generations seek after signs and wonders; but, no sign shall be given.

  13. Derrick

At 00:51 seconds he throws the 3 6’s hand sign and at 00:55 the devil horns sign. No more needs to be said.

  14. ruthsongs

It cracks me up that they always “prophesy” their own success and new anointing and make sure the people know that ‘men and women’ are going to be placed – by God- over the people. There is almost always some suggestion of this type, sending that little message that they should be submitted to, that it’s the will of God that the people submit to them.

Outside of the church we would see this blatant self promotion for what it is. I don’t know why it’s different during a church service.

I’m sorry, but I didn’t go to prophetic school–Can you only hear a word of God if you prophesy besides a larger-than-life portrait of yourself?

What man of God, wants a portrait of themselves (a giant-sized one at that) in the sanctuary of the living God?
    Talk about a large ego

  16. Carolyn Gerling

“We are God” As I read the link for Manasseh Jordon from Christian Research Network above, I was struck by how so many of these gurus embrace the teaching of “I am God” …Sooner or later a false prophet will get around to making you worship him. Scary thought, but that’s what makes him false. A true prophet will never accept accolades or bask in your adoration. But a false prophet will love every minute of it and beg for more. They love the attention that they get for their supreme wisdom which they give out so liberally to their followers, their innovative ideas and good deeds (to be seen by men), their tall tales that they make up to lead you into their throne room, their eccentric mannerisms to endear, their encounters with angels and/or their emotional little anecdotes that feed the illusion that they are somehow human just like the rest of us:-) …when it is obvious that they aren’t. They are special…set apart up there on the stage or writing books. They have a special annointing, special calling, special powers and special direct contact with the spirits and oh, yes the elitest mentality. Kind of reminds me of what Jesus said about the “rulers” of his day loving their flowing robes, lengthy prayers and the honour of men. And now that their followers are in their throne room on bended knee, they continue to break the first commandment, ” Thou shalt have no other gods before me.” But they just can’t help themselves. They are agog with the ecstasy of it all. Hero worship all over again… Belial doing a good job at diverting worship from the One who alone deserves our worship, The One who sits in the real Throne Room and rules over all he has made. One day every knee shall bow to Him and no other. And he will make an end of all those who stole from him and twisted his words to fit their own agendas. Though we don’t see their humiliation yet, their destruction has been pending and the anger of God will not delay forever. On a positive note, I’m believing what God says about himself. I’m reserving nothing for myself. No contamination of my own glorying. When I face him, my triumph will be in Christ and all he has done!!

“”What man of God, wants a portrait of themselves (a giant-sized one at that) in the sanctuary of the living God?
    Talk about a large ego””

Amen. THAT alone speaks volumes about him.

  18. Carolyn Gerling

oops. The link above is christianresearchservice not network. Just seeing if y’all were awake. Great article BTW. It gives much insight into the lies and contradictions of the false prophet. “Me thinks thou protestest too loudly.” When they say they are not doing something, that is exactly what they are doing. And when they say we have the divine within, that is not a positive…it is our SIN (Satanically Inspired Narcissism), an inherent quality that loves attention to be focused on “me”.

  19. WatEenZooitje

This is a sad development indeed. Another example how far the apostate church is going. And actually it is just getting worse. Mostly a lot of people from the NAR area are NARCISTS indeed. Their ego is more important than God’s interests. It is all so humanistic/self centered that the Bible is replaced by books like the Shack, Course in Miracles etc. Why are the NARcists never speak about sin, repentance, self denial, temporarily stay on this earth etc? It is just what the apostles have warned us for. But the most saddest thing is that the NAR is gaining global influence within the charismatic world. Instead that charismatic christianity could have been a sincere addition to mainstream christianity, it now just help sincere christians off the True Gospel and The Bible, into more New Age like christianity. It almost seems that Bible true Christians are getting smaller because this NAR me-myself-and I gospel, is gaining more and more followers. It is hard for me as a charismatic christian how these people are damaging the work of Our Lord Jesus Christ. I can only hope that my friends are not buying this stuff, otherwise I could be really lonely.

Sounds like he was predicting the hell that will be unleashed, except he saw it as a good thing.

After reading the article and the comments on this page, this is what you need to be made aware of:

“Now the Spirit speaketh expressly that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their conscience seared with a hot iron…” I Timothy 4:vs 1&2 AV

There are false prophets like these all over the planet. Ever heard of Hillsong in Sydney, Australia? They want to force allthe neghbours out of the area so they can build a AUD$58million “superchurch”. But of course, the scriptures clearly teach that “God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that He is Lord of Heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands”. Acts 17:24

Of course, we need buildings to congregate and worship together, but not when the the teachings of our Lord and Saviour are quite clear – “No man can serve two masters.: for either he will hate the one, and love the other, or he will hold to one and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.” Matt 6:24 AV

These are all the same people with the same teachings and who all “worship” Benny Hinn and the other false prophets like Bernard Jordan.

“But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that brought them and shall bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow in their pernicious ways, by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. And though covetousness they shall with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgement now of a long time lingerteth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.” 2 Peter 2: vs 1-3 AV

Note the use of the phrase “make merchandise of you”. Basically all these false prophets are literally getting rich off those with the “itching ears” that follow them!
I’ll leave you with this thought, theese men liek Benny Hinn, Bernard Jordan and all the other false prophets are fulfilling scripture, proving that the Bible is real, our God is real, and our Saviour is real and His Sprit is real.

Remember the admonishion: “Behold, I come quickly: hold fast to that which thou hast, that no man take thy crown “. Rev 3:11 AV
