Beni Johnson: Wakey Wakey!

Colossians 2:18-19:

18 Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshiping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,
19 And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God.

Below is a video where Beni Johnson tells of a young lady in Wales who wakes up a sleeping angel by screaming, “Wakey!  Wakey!”  While you’re watching this video, keep in mind that the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) has been gaining ground and going more main stream.  These are the people who want to take over the world through the seven spheres of influence, better known as Dominionism.

This is an older video, but I never posted it here.  I thought it would be good to do so now to remind us of the movers and shakers of the NAR, and to keep this stuff fresh in our memory.  The video doesn’t cover it all, so I’ve linked to a blog post that gives you more details.  You’ll find that below the video.

Beni Johnson:  Wakey Wakey

Angels are among us! They come for a lot of reasons. There are different kinds of angels: messenger angels, healing angels, fiery angels. I think that they have been bored for a long time and are ready to be put to work. They are here to help usher the Kingdom of God into our realm. As we begin to recognize that they are among us, we will begin to see more angelic activity as we pull heaven to earth.

One of our students came to our Supernatural School of Ministry from Wales. Before she moved here, she had a major encounter with God. She was woken in the middle of the night because the presence of God was so strong in her room. She could see a visible cloud in her room, and she waited on God to see what He was saying. Then God said to her, “I want you to go to Moriah Chapel and say ‘wakey wakey.'” She thought, “You want me to do what?! I’m sorry God, but I’m not doing that!” Then He said to her again, “I want you to go to Moriah Chapel and say ‘wakey wakey.'” At that point, she knew that if she didn’t do it, she would regret it for the rest of her life. The next day when she got to the chapel, there were a lot of people outside. She said normally the chapel was empty. She asked God why there were so many people there and He said to her, “Because I had to tell you twice.” She stood outside of the chapel and whispered “wakey wakey” because she did not want anyone to hear her. God then said to her, “Is that how much you want revival in Wales?” She then stood there that day and yelled at the top of her lungs, “WAKEY WAKEY”!!!

Whacky Whacky… Give me a break, NO, give me two breaks! I know there is a need to expose this type of garbage but come on…

Did you see the guys working on their laptops near the end of the clip…? Priceless! I wonder if they were counting the money? Maybe they were board and they were surfing discernment sites? We can only hope.

    Sleepy sleepy…

She is a “seer”…..she can see into the spirit realm……. And then she spoke to the angel of the 1904 Revival…… and then this angel was seen in other places because this other lady “woke it up.” Hmmmm…..that must be in the book of Second Opinions…I don’t see any precedent in the Scriptures for sleeping angels. Does anyone know of any passages that would support this idea? I just have a lot of red flags going up during this video.

Why o why are the NAR people so busy with ‘supernatural’ issues? They speak of/about/WITH? the angel of 1904 revival? You can speak about revival, the times, places, preachers, angels etc. but you can’t have any real genuine revival if there is NO repentance and honest Bible Preaching. I mean, Lakeland were suppose to be a revival, but when the Big Revivalist disappeared, where did this revival go?

We do have an example from Scripture about what can happen when a revival occurs but is seemingly tied to the personality of the person by whom the revival comers. Consider Josiah’s reign. The Lord raised up Josiah to try to restore Israel through revival. He did this in the midst of repeated warnings through Isaiah, Jeremiah, Hosea, Micah, and others for Israel to repent before they went into captivity in Babylon under Nebuchadnezzar. After revival broke out, many good things happened but as was the case in other instances, Israel resorted to idolatry once again after Josiah died and then God did as He said He would and they went into captivity in Babylon.

Of course, the HUGE difference is that the “revival” of Lakeland was a farce. Nevertheless, the lesson is there just as with Josiah; the “revival” of Lakeland died out with the personality of Bentley and others. Do I believe that some people got saved in that? I would have to say yes because there were many genuine believers that went and brought friends whom they subsequently witnessed to and they got saved. Do I believe Lakeland was of God? Nope, but that doesn’t mean that God couldn’t use others in the midst of that to touch lives. That isn’t to say the end justifies the means either so don’t start throwing stones at me. :-) I’m just sharing some thoughts. It would be very presumptuous of me to make the false assumption that every person who follows some of these false teachers/prophets/flakes is a Hell-bound heretic. I DO believe they need discernment and need to be told about the error of following these types of people. Enter SOTS, CRS, Apprising Ministries, and others. These venues are used to inform people about the wolves in sheep’s clothing. We certainly don’t need to necessarily start our own online discernment ministry because we should just tell other believers about these things in the course of normal discussion but as an adjunct to that, we can certainly point people to these web sites and pray that the Lord would touch lives and deliver more believers and seekers out of the hands of these liars and heretics and into all truth!

With that, I say thank you to Chrystal for this site. Thank you to Bud Press for his great service as well! And if you all haven’t seen Ken Silva’s site over at, go check it out!! Ken is da’ bomb too! Time is short. The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few and it isn’t getting any easier knowing that we are in contention with a bunch of lying, money-grubbing heretics that are winning people’s minds over all the time. People love to see “signs and wonders” but miss the substance of truth. It’s sad.

Keep looking up!! Our redemption surely draweth nigh!!

    Good points, Mike.

Ok, I watch this – having come out of and researched the charismatic movement in great depth – and I just wonder. I wonder, WHERE, in all honesty, does this come from?? The woman speaking there seems to be sane, in her right mind, sincere. (Some of the IHOP “worship leaders” I think have a few screws loose, but this lady seems lucid).

So do they sit around in this movement all day spinning yarns…trying to come up with more dramatic and bizarre stories, for the sake of money? Are they delusional/insane and really believe this themselves? Who/where is this gal from Wales, and if she were to verify the story, what would that mean? They’re both delusional (or working in cahoots to lie, and she’ll get a cut of the profits?)

Suppose someone did see a “manifestation”. Would this indicate demonic activity?

These are just rhetorical questions….I just wonder sometimes. A few years ago, I used to repent constantly every known sin, pray continuously, fast, and beg God to give me a revelation. I would have loved for Him to show up in my bedroom in the middle of the night. Strangely enough, it never happened.😦

But He did give you revelation – His Son, Christ Jesus. He revealed Himself through Him, and ya know what? There are many untold millions who don’t see it and won’t accept it.

The grace of God is amazing!

This is absurd, I have sat through kathy walters meetings its the same angel stuff. I tell ya, biblically when people saw angels or were caught up to heaven there wasn’t the flip, as if its normal attitude that these people come across with. Also, there is no concern for the finished work of Christ, usually He is only mentioned to justify their lavish lifestyle or something blasphemous. Thanks, –sincerely Carrie daniel

Marie hit it on the head. They have to come up with more and more bizarre stories to entertain/scratch the ears of the itchy eared crowd that are seeking such worshiptainment. Like Patricia King, this woman who I suppose is King Bill’s wife, throws out these zingers about giant angels like there are talking about ordering a whopper from Burger King. Speaking of whoppers. Just very matter of factly….almost bored, like of course there were giant angels…again! These people dream of and speak of a revival that no end-time prophecy supports. On the contrary the last days scriptures speak of the opposite occuring “in those days.” Apostatia. Falling away. Mens hearts waxing worse and worse….seducing spirits prevailent fooling many. Even God sends a strong delusion. Jesus warns us 4 times in Matt.24 to Beware or false teachers, leaders, preachers…. and never mentions any Great Revival that will give us comfort and allow us to speak and visit with angels, “soak” in “the presence” , fly across the room (like Sid Roth talks about at Brownsville) …laugh and freak out like at Lakeland….etc. To the contrary Jesus uses terms such as “Endure, Overcome, Stand Firm, Cling, and Beware…when he describes the last days. Far from soaking in a spirit-filled blissful revival.
Since when do angels bring us, lead us to, or are responsible for revival? That is the job of the Holy Spirit, through REPENTENCE of man.
