In my post “God TV: Send Us Four Million Dollars!” I pointed out how Wendy and Rory Alec are begging for $4 million dollars by May 31, 2010, or they will have to pack up and leave Jerusalem. (That would be a good thing, actually, so as I said in the other post, hide your wallets.) In fact, God TV wants your money so badly, this is what you see when you click on their website right now.
In the video below, Wendy Alec is speaking on God TV’s fundraising program on May 17, 2010, and she looks like she could be a drinking buddy of John Crowder. With this kind of behavior, she would fit in quite comfortably with John Crowder and his “New Mystics.”
It angers me that people think this woman and those like her actually represents Biblical Christianity. What a joke, folks. Jesus didn’t die so you could get a snoot full and stagger around like a blithering idiot. I guess they never read the second chapter of Titus. Let me remind them:
Titus 2:1-15: (NASB)
But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine: That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience. The aged women likewise, that they be in behavior as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed. Young men likewise exhort to be sober minded. In all things showing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine showing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity, sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you. Exhort servants to be obedient unto their own masters, and to please them well in all things ; not answering again; Not purloining, but showing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Savior in all things. For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ; who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.
People who stumble around in a drunken manner portray themselves as spiritual. But the Bible says these things are works of the flesh:
19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
If those who do such things will not inherit the Kingdom of God, why would the Holy Spirit of God manifest in people in such a way to make them act in a way that He detests? The answer is simple, He wouldn’t. To say He would is blasphemy!
The Bible says these are the fruits of the Spirit:
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
24 And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
If you see someone claim to be under the influence of the Holy Spirit and they don’t possess the traits listed in Galatians 5:22-24, then it’s not the Holy Spirit. Watch the video and tell me what spirit Wendy Alec is influenced by.
Update: The gentleman who posted the video was forced to take it down because of copyright claims from God TV. It makes me wonder why Wendy Alec wants it taken down if she was truly in the “spirit.” What’s she so afraid of? Could it be she finds it embarrassing? If I can find the video, I’ll relink it here.
Update #2: Philip C. was kind enough to upload this video to his blog page. Not only did he upload the video of Alec “drunk in the glory,” but he uploaded another video of her speaking in tongues, which sounds more like a tribal chant. Word of Faith/Prosperity teacher Steve Munsey is in that video as well. Please click here to watch both videos.
