Wendy Alec Drunk in the “Glory”

In my post “God TV: Send Us Four Million Dollars!” I pointed out how Wendy and Rory Alec are begging for $4 million dollars by May 31, 2010, or they will have to pack up and leave Jerusalem.  (That would be a good thing, actually, so as I said in the other post, hide your wallets.)  In fact, God TV wants your money so badly, this is what you see when you click on their website right now.

In the video below, Wendy Alec is speaking on God TV’s fundraising program on May 17, 2010, and she looks like she could be a drinking buddy of John Crowder.  With this kind of behavior, she would fit in quite comfortably with John Crowder and his “New Mystics.”

It angers me that people think this woman and those like her actually represents Biblical Christianity.  What a joke, folks.  Jesus didn’t die so you could get a snoot full and stagger around like a blithering idiot.  I guess they never read the second chapter of Titus.  Let me remind them:

Titus 2:1-15:  (NASB)

But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine: That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience.  The aged women likewise, that they be in behavior as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.  Young men likewise exhort to be sober minded.  In all things showing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine showing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity, sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you.  Exhort servants to be obedient unto their own masters, and to please them well in all things ; not answering again; Not purloining, but showing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Savior in all things.  For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ; who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.  These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.

People who stumble around in a drunken manner portray themselves as spiritual.  But the Bible says these things are works of the flesh:

Galatians 5:19-21:

19  Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20  Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21  Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

If those who do such things will not inherit the Kingdom of God, why would the Holy Spirit of God manifest in people in such a way to make them act in a way that He detests?  The answer is simple, He wouldn’t.  To say He would is blasphemy!

The Bible says these are the fruits of the Spirit:

Galatians 5:22-24:

22  But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23  Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
24  And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

If you see someone claim to be under the influence of the Holy Spirit and they don’t possess the traits listed in Galatians 5:22-24, then it’s not the Holy Spirit.  Watch the video and tell me what spirit Wendy Alec is influenced by.

Update:  The gentleman who posted the video was forced to take it down because of copyright claims from God TV.  It makes me wonder why Wendy Alec wants it taken down if she was truly in the “spirit.”  What’s she so afraid of?  Could it be she finds it embarrassing?  If I can find the video, I’ll relink it here.

Update #2:  Philip C. was kind enough to upload this video to his blog page.  Not only did he upload the video of Alec “drunk in the glory,” but he uploaded another video of her speaking in tongues, which sounds more like a tribal chant.  Word of Faith/Prosperity teacher Steve Munsey is in that video as well.  Please click here to watch both videos.

It is almost impossible for me to believe that people actually fall for this stuff. If I didn’t have to just seperate from my own church that used to be so sweet and is now following after “prophets” like these…

Brother, it angers me too that such behavior is displayed and believed to be genuine, when it is not. Their behavior of a sign of God’s judgment that is soon to come. I would not be surprised if the entire project/business collapsed in a short period of time, hopefully soon.

False teachers gaining more false converts. There is no gospel preaching, therefore they are false. Anyone who is involved with this, get out now, fall on your knees and repent. They are under God’s judgment, support them and you will share in this judgment. The way to the Father is Through His Son our precious Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. They are on the broad road leading to destruction anyone following them will be lead the same way

I would be surprised if they fell apart because this is a ministry straight from Satan. God has control of everything but this is part of the judgement that is already taking place.

Any God fearing Bible believing person would not be taken by this false ministry, but they are being taken by the millions. God is allowing them to be handed over to these false ministries because they refuse to believe the truth.

We are at the end and God is making a final sweep for his believers and then all that will be left will be these false ministries to explain what happened to the people in the rapture.

    Come quickly Lord!

I clicked on the link to God TV. It reminded me of when I call the phone company. Their automated system won’t let you do anything except pay your bill. Every option they offer somehow circles back to the “pay your bill” option.

Send GODless TV personal checks, Social Security checks, Disability checks, Income Tax checks, Welfare checks, food stamps, postage stamps, deeds to house and property, money orders, credit card numbers, cash money, and loose change–so Wendy and Rory Alec can cause innocent believers to stumble, drive the lost to laughter and further away from Jesus Christ, and ACT STUPID!

Why are they asking for money?

What about the 15-room mansion that was bought in Missouri?

God TV Co-Founders Buy Historic Home
    Chad Lawhorn
    May 12, 2009

“The historic Harris House – a 15 room, 1883 mansion west of Linwood – was recently purchased by the co-founders of God TV…

Rory and Wendy Stephen…purchased the home and its 11 acres in mid-April…

The home is a showpieece in Linwood. It is on the National Register of Historic Places…”

If they still own this home, why don’t they sell it? Their ministry supposedly needs alot of money, right?

And what is with the Rory and Wendy Stephen? Stephen???

I thought it was ALEC? Hmmm….

I watched the link here before it was taken down, and believe me, you ain’t missing much. ( Crystal, is the link available at God.tv ? ) Just more proof that these people misrepresent the Gospel, and are making utter & complete fools of themselves. Now they might argue they are being made fools for Christ, so let me use some stronger language – these people are portraying themselves as complete idiots. You wonder sometimes why God had to use a donkey to get His message out ( not really ).

I would agree that people like Wendy Alec are either under the influence of a demonic spirit, are actually drunk, or in some type of a self induced stupor, if that is indeed possible. One thing is certain, this type of behaviour is on the rise, and to those who are truly searching, makes our ‘ religion ‘ look reprehensible.

Now the video won’t play due to a ‘copyright claim by GOD TV Ltd.’ Gee I wonder if they file those against videos that are positive to them?

Let us continue to pray that God will bring down these false teachers and their false ministries. What a stench they are in our Lord God’s nostrils. May God open the blind eyes of those who continue to support these false teachers and lead them into His truth because they are living in deception and need to be set free by our Lord Jesus.

How God Tv can call their viewers a “family” is beyond me – who extorts money from their families – what a joke!! People please wake up they do not care how much credit card debt you have run up by giving to them – they only care about enriching themselves further on YOUR MONEY. God Tv has helped thousands into debt that God has never wanted you to have. I know of one woman who has given over £5,000 to these false teachers on the Gospel channels. When will they see the light!!!!!!

Steve Munsey is a completely wicked and evil man – all he does is spew forth rubbish from his mouth. Reminds me of a completely mad person.

There is no way to stop false teachers today such as the Alecs (Stephens!!). Peter, John and Paul were able to wield supernatural discipline, such as on Ananias/Sapphira; Elymas; the fornicator of Corinth; Hymanaeus and Alexander and Diotrophes. Even those represented only a few of the problem people that plagued the original apostolic churches. Most of them were handled by doctrinal disputation and apostolic testimony such as in Galatians, 2 Corinthians 11, 2 Peter, 1 John, etc.

The sad fact is the wolves outnumber the sheep of God’s pasture by great multiples. Their name is Legion for they are many. The saved are few. But, they are commanded by the Lord to be wise as serpents and harmless as doves as they go out among them. Sadly, God’s sheep disobey Him by retaining sheeplike trust of all ministers, compounded by a spirit of fear of offending God by being critical of them who inhabit mega-church and media pulpits. The pew-sheep don’t have the training in righteousness that they should have. God help them. Websites like these are extremely helpful in doing that kind of work though. We need more of them.

Excellently discussed by all here! I’ve tried to send you another copy of the video: – hope you will be able to download it? I really can’t watch any more the Stephens’s antics. Sadly at 6pm local time here they are boasting that they have “banked” over a million and a half dollars already. They will realise their dream of reaping a “billion souls”, but they will be leading them all to Hell.

  15. Jap

When are these people going to be stopped? They are playing on vulnerable people who have very little money themselves but feel they need to send it to these charlatans. Why do they need $4??? Can’t they sell a few houses? Who needs 15????

  16. stan

@ Jap: You might as well ask who’s going to stop the masses whom God has given the Alecs of the world to because they do not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved from their sinful, lustful ways. The market for such deceivers is created by the huge demand of the many with itching ears.

So, the Alecs are not going to be stopped because the many are departing from sound doctrine in droves to put their hopes in fables of unverifiable miracles; tall tales about angels and visits to heaven and even hell; prophecies more in keeping with new age philosophy and Gnosticism; promises of a better earthly life, all which the Alecs (Stephens, that is) and others like them provide amply for them. The prosperous countries especially, such as America, Australia and Europe, are filled with Christians who seek an imaginary Jesus who will grant them their lust for even more money, better health and ecstatic mystical experiences. Voila! Out pops TBN, God TV, Daystar, Inspiration Network and many others, to accommodate them with a parade of the worst wolves ever whose cleverness and greed knows no bounds. The money doesn’t stop flowing into their covetous little hands so they can fly in jets, live in gated mansions, drive BMWs because the people love to have it so. They want to believe that all of their heroes’ prosperity is coming from God, when it is really going out to them from their own covetous little hearts. Consequently, there is no stopping them. God will take care of them when He’s through with them unless they repent, which is highly unlikely.

The truly unsuspecting among their supporters who are saved are in danger of turning back into wolves themselves the longer they’re under their doctrine and give to them. They need prayer that the Good Shepherd will leave the 99 and go after them and rescue them by the saving power of His eternal truth. And like the woman who searched her house until she found the lost coin, caring ministers of God must patiently instruct and correct them so that God may grant them repentance unto acknowledgment of the truth. Only then can they come out from the snare of the devil. But, ultimately, as with the prodigal son, they must come to themselves and depart from all those flesh-satisfying teachings and return to the Father for the sake of their own souls. For, if they don’t care for their own spiritual survival, who of us can make them care?
