What do we say about this young man? At best, he has a familiar spirit, at worst, he’s another Peter Popoff. One thing is certain, he is not of God. He is the product of E. Bernard Jordan, who claims to be God, and Benny Hinn. What are the chances he will be Biblically sound springing from those roots? Not very good.
For all of his much speaking and soothsaying, he doesn’t preach Jesus and Him crucified to the audience in attendance. What a wasted opportunity.
Making an utter mockery of the Lord’s Holiness. I pray that this young man comes to true saving faith and puts away this circus show to tickling the itching ears of those who seek after signs and wonders!
He’s very sincere. He is, however, very sincerely wrong. Yes. He absolutely is making an utter mockery of God’s holiness. Absolutely.
These teachers absolutely will be paying, in the end, for this. It makes me shudder to think of how it will be for them.
He’s obviously a psychic, but he probably wouldn’t like that word. He prefers the word “prophet.” He’s using his energy to blow people over — literally — which I would think could be dangerous to them, especially for the elderly woman whose husband has cancer. Also, he should be telling these people these very personal things in private. It’s more showmanship than anything.
Near the beginning of the video, at about 50 seconds – is that Benny Hinn’s brother (if not, he appears to be important in Hinn’s entourage – note that the actual Pastor is kept well in the background) declaring that “I’m the only one that knows about that…” So at some point the subject of the “revelation” must have supplied the details to him, or to someone who told him…
Three minutes thirty seconds into the show the “prophet” speaks of ministry partner ‘Ruth Glass’. Hinn easily points her out (OK, so she may have been trying to catch his attention) and then says a curious thing “I didn’t tell him anything, I promise you darling…” Then the “prophet” tells her that she has wondered why she is in the situation she is when “I’ve sowed seed – I’ve given thousands, I’ve given millions…” Hardly a minor partner then? Someone a seed-seeking ministry wouldn’t fail to know something about.
As for the rest of these people on stage – were they invited? Had they spoken to Hinn’s staff beforehand?
A familiar spirit or spirits may well be helping this “prophet” – but I think that in this case the servants of the father of lies can sit back and enjoy the show, knowing full well that human methods and gullibility can do their work for them.
I literally had to sleep on this one before I commented. Either he is Peter Popoff or he really is dealing with a spirit and it’s not the Holy Spirit. I’ve seen this done before only once, and the “prophet” was much older and was also very shady and questionable. I have never seen this in someone so young, almost a clairvoyance. But, if you look at his father, E. Bernard Jordan, you will understand what’s going on. My question is “why is benny hinn promoting him so much”? I think this may be to get the attention off of himself and the divorce scandal and also, this could be another “todd bently” situation where this guy’s name gets out and BOOM, you have another “revival” on your hands.

Signs and wonders as presented by the likes of Benny Hinn are not the litmus test for truth. Our test of truth is this… do they teach the true Word of God? Because if you don’t study Scripture and write it upon your heart, a deceiver can lead you astray with signs and wonders, for even Satan himself disguises himself as an angel of light. If we follow pure truth, we aren’t led astray. If we follow signs, we will be horribly deceived.
No matter what sign anyone may work before my eyes, I will weigh their doctrine. That will tell me all I need to know.
Davidsling: I saw a commentor rightly PRAYING for the false prophet. No mention of ‘burning at the stake’. Can you not see how you just lied? Is Christ faithfully fllowed in lies? Rightly did the apostles warn against those who creep in unawares, presenting themselves and prophets and teachers. It is no surprise, for Satan himself appears as an angel of light.
I pray that the God and Father of my Lord Jesus Christ open your eyes to the deception portrayed in that video through His Holy Word. We are not legalists. We who have died to sin are no longer under the Law but are alive unto Christ. We do not gleefully preach violence to others like you do, but somberly, humbly, and sympathetically preach the full counsel of the Word of God, which is that we are all born children of wrath, for which there is only one end, the Lake of Fire. We preach the Gospel of the Living and Risen Christ, salvation by grace through faith in Christ Jesus, the only Name given under Heaven by which a man must be saved.
Christ is distinctly absent from your rambling. I submit, if He were truly your Lord, He would not be absent. I also submit that God gave His Word for a reason and that it is the only God-given authority we have. Your prose only has a spattering of biblical reference, out of context, and is mostly fueled by your glorifying of those of your particular belief system (you know, the ‘bloodthirsty warrior’ sign-seekers) which, when held up to the Word of God, has nothing to do with the Savior of Scripture.
So while you zealously lie and attack for your golden calf, perhaps the Spirit of God Most Holy will make clear the difference in approach and purpose of those truly drawn to Christ by the Father and those who worship a different ‘jesus’. May God mercifully pour out upon you the same grace He poured out on me, for I was once lost and obeying a ‘god’ of my own sinful imagination, but the Holy Spirit removed my heart of stone and gave me a heart of flesh, to repent and believe the Gospel.
I do not speak to you as one unsympathetic, for like all my brothers and sisters in Christ, I once walked the course of this world and was grandly deceived, convinced that my own intellect and pet ‘teachers’ were the source of my authority, raher than the Word of the Living God. For the glory of God and love of your soul, I say to you that God commands you to repent and believe the Gospel.
Read the Word in context, and see if the prophet you espouse is in accord with Scripture, or if he is in fact something akin to what thoroughly plagued Isreal and Judah when God judged them and dispersed them among the nations. For their ‘prophets’ were prophesying falsely in His Name and the people loved to have it so.
Addendum: When I say Christ was absent from Davidssling’s post, I mean the Christ of Scripture and the spirit of one who belongs to Him. I know he mentioned Christ, so do many others, even the video (sort of).
Christ healed physical inifrmity to validate His authority as the Son of God. It was a seal of His genuine Soveriegn Stature to the glory of His Father and His love for the people. It validated Him and His words as coming from the Father.
God’s arm is not shortened and He can still heal as He wills. However, the healing we need most is not merely physical but also spiritual. We are dry, dead bones and need true life. We need to be raised from the dead, born again. This is the REAL miracle.
We are to test the spirits. Testing what Davidssling wrote in light of Scripture should set off the discernment alarm.

Before I commented on this post I have looked at the “young prophet” and his ministry, not just the various clips on this blog. I do not judge him for his father or his father’s beliefs, neither do I judge him by association – Benny Hinn or otherwise. I can only judge by what he speaks, teaches and ministers from the pulpit, in his writings and on his videos.
The “prosperity” jargon and supposed anointing for prosperity that he pushes and preaches, actually specializes in – that is what is so offputting to the whole prophet mantle thing. There is always something off, and carnal that takes root in human effort even if it does use spiritual gifts. With Branham it was all of that ungodly doctrine and teaching on the serpent seed, no-trinity, familiar spirit hand-changing-color thing .. all of the hyper exotic displays of soulish brashness and unbiblical additives that tend to latch onto any ministry not unto God first and foremost.
Jesus never “wowed” anyone into His Kingdom, He spoke truth and left it at that. Yes He spoke with the gift of knowledge and followed everythign the Father said or showed Him, yet He never strayed off the straight and narrow way which was in accordance with the Old testament scriptures He came to fulfill.

I would like to see if that guy in the first few minutes gets his $550 Million that God “promised” him. Far be it from me to doubt that the Lord could provide $550 million but let me just say that I’d like to see some testimonies from people who have been “prophecied over” in the Benny Hinn ministry and from this new “prophet” and see how much of it has come to pass. A prophet of God is NEVER wrong.

I also have a check in my spirit about how he just blows on people as if the Holy Spirit needed that extra push to overcome someone. They speak of being slain in the Spirit but in the Scriptures only the enemies of God are slain. That might be purely semantics because there are plenty of instances in Scripture where God has shown up in the lives of prophets and they have become like “dead men” as well as other descriptive terms. Surely, if the Lord showed up in glory in our prayer closets, we would be undone and “slain” is probably the wrong term to be using. I have heard the term “rested in the Spirit” as well. Be that as it may, something smacks of error in all of this.
And then at 6:12 he says that Benny and and Mike Murdock need to lay hands on someone because they are going to “do $300,000.” Talk about a fleecing. This lady, Lucy Glass, is going to stretch and stand with the seed of $300,000. It’s only a “seed” that can break this thing. Really??? I thought it was only the LORD GOD who had the power to heal; not seed money. That “seed” will probably provide Benny with another nice Bentley or stretch Limo.
There was a time when some news company did an expose’ on ministries like Hinn’s and they found out that investigators were finding out this information and were relaying it down to the “prophets” via those earplug inserts they use. There will really be Hell to pay for some of the shenanigans and the fleecing of people.
It’s just disturbing.

@ Cop: The standard Jewish blessing is “Baruch (Praise) HaShem (the Name) Adonai (Sovereign God).” I’m not a Hebrew scholar, so I don’t know what the extra syllable is for. Maybe someone more learned could tell us.
As for the rest, I just wish I could convince people not to take off their “discernment hats” whenever they see something supernatural. After all, Rev. 13.13 talks about the horrible beast who performs great signs. Signs and wonders are not the test for godly authenticity — doctrine (teaching) is.
Also, if anyone thinks healing only comes from God, I would recommend the book “The Beautiful Side of Evil” by Johanna Michaelsen. I don’t know if it’s still in print, but I have seen copies at used book stores.
I hope many enjoyed a peaceful and joyful Easter holiday.
Reflecting on our Lord’s great sacrifice and glorious resurrection reminds me of the Apostle Paul’s teaching in Philippians 4: 7-8: to rejoice and be gentle and think on whatever is admirable and lovely and pure and to practice these.
Reading a few of the blog comments today was tough. I say this not as a criticism but as a concern. Why? For me, uncontrolled ramblings and rantings and ravings ( there’s enough to contend with in many ministries); endless dissertations and disturbing accusations and inappropriate harshness make me very uncomfortable.
I appreciate Slaughter of the Sheep as an intelligently written and thought- provoking forum which gives many people the ability to speak their opinions and share their feelings, with or without dignity– and have some fun, too.
Let’s pray for one another… for one another’s needs and for us, as Christians, to show ourselves approved unto God. K

I can only pray as one person stated that this young man comes to true and saving faith. I don’t think its ironic that after the show was performed they started talking about sowing a seed. Please see Isaiah 8:19 and go over the book of jeremiah they both had to deal with false prophets drawing men unto themselves. I mean this was a true display of a gospel-less Gospel. NO cross NO repentance No exposure of Sin NO pointing men to Chirst as their righteousness. MAY GOD HAVE MERCY UPON SUCH MEN. We must pray that they see the truth but I am afraid that they are already taken by a hardness that is welcomed.

You wondered why I approved DAVIDSSLING’s comments, and that’s a valid question. I will attempt to explain why.
When you take time to expose false doctrine and those who teach it, it’s important to show not only those who are deceiving people, but those who are deceived as well. It paints a more thorough picture. Nothing is ever one sided, and when deception goes out, it doesn’t just hit the wall and fall flat on the ground. Someone somewhere out there is absorbing it, and it is causing great, great damage.
There have been many posts I haven’t approved, but sometimes it’s necessary so people can see the depth of spiritual blindness.
I hope I was able to explain myself a little and I hope it makes sense.
Prophecy has come to mean “foretelling” when in the OT and the New prophecy was the wiord of God, sometimes it went forward to tell the people what would happen as a consequence, othertimes it spoke to the day at hand – but the point wasn’t when it spoke about or what secrets it brought forth, but that it was God’s Word.
If I say I am going to slap you in 5 seconds and then it comes true in 5 seconds – does that make me prophetic and full of truth & “of God”? Not necessarily.
If I hear about you or something secret about you and then meet you in person for the first time and then tell you these secrets, and wow you, does that make me a prophet and “of God”? Not necessarily.
If a spirit speaks mysteries to me and I repeat these secrets and mysteries to people and wow them, does that make me a prophet of God? Not necessarily.
If I test the spirits, if I hold fast tot he truth, if I walk by faith in love and speak the word of the Lord, with the gift of prophecy, in the nature of the Giver of the Gift for the glory of the giver oft he gift – then I am doing all I am called to do. The bottom line is – does the gift, whether it be prophecy or healing or wisdom – does it lead and point to the Truths that God has been speaking since the beginning ? Is it His glory and His purposes and not misleading causes and ways that I am Shepherding HIS FLOCK with? If I cause the sheep to stray away from the Good Shepherd, then I am an unfaithful servant.
If I come to the sheep pen any other way than the gate which is Jesus and Jesus is the Word made flesh – am I contradicting His Word? Then I am coming through another way, and only a thief comes in by any other ways – even if it is a thief who steals the glory of God, by the misuse or perversion of the gifts that are given (without repentance), he is still a thief nonetheless.
@”DavidsSling” – I think I can bet that you have recieved a prophecy of sorts that picked up on all the great things God has done in your life by His grace- and then twisted your sense of worth up in that and told you you were “Like David and have the sling of the Lord to fight the enemies of God and the heresy hunters and the giants would fall because you were like unto David and have the “spirit of David” .. etc etc. Do you realise that the enemy has thus taken any good that God has done and has now profaned it by mixing the flesh with the spirit? Ego is tamed when Jesus is our only identity. We scold the Catholic church for the over indulgence in Saints etc and yet charismatic culture now is full of people with the “spirit of david” and naomi and deborah and jeremiah and elijah. THe devil will use even church history or personalities to mix in the leaven of pride. Then we live our lives trying to be a “David” and killing make believe giants and think that we have free license to do so because of prophecies over us. And all along the Father just wants us to be like Christ like, not David like or Deborah like . May God shine forht the light of Christ upon your path Davidssling, may He remind you of the humility of Jesus and the glory and splendor of that humility on the Cross, for you for me for Benny Hinn and for any who would turn to Him and believe on Him, and He alone.

I DID AS HE DEMANDED, HE THEN SMILED, PUT HIS ARM AROUND ME AND SAID “WELL DONE MY BROTHER., COME AND I SHALL SHOW YOU ALL THAT IS NOW YOURS..!”
Wow. That is blasphemy in the first degree. The work of the Cross was not enough? And then the last paragraph…. Wow. I hope the man takes his meds and repents. In the meantime, I hope he stays away from Portland.
This is absolutely nauseating beyond words. How on earth this man claims to be a spokesman for God is beyond me and in addition to that, why on earth this man was lauded with such an “anointed” gift when he sounds more confusing than sound.
Does God reallly put such a priority of blessing on a person’s life, to expect to receive great financial blessings as he has said these people should expect from Him? I think not.

Moses was not worthy – a murderer.
David was not worthy – a murderer and adulterer
Peter was not worthy – he lacked faith and had a big mouth.
Paul was not worthy – condoned murder and kept the letter but not the spirit of the Law.
I am not worthy – we don’t have enough room to list my sins

Galatians 2:19-20 9 For I through the law died to the law that I might live to God. 20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
Davids Sling – please humbly reconsider your emotional statements and see if anyone has said something in love (the truth often hurts – so do not judge our words by your feelings).
WOW This guy is good. I wonder if anyone knows if he may be performing in a theatre in Australia soon. I’d pay to see a performance like that.
I wonder if he does the “I am talking to your late family member, his name is ???? and they are having a drink and enjoying themselves in a better place” routine. That’s always a real hoot.

Having been delivered out of the Word of Faith movement back in 1985 by God via the ministry of Sister Sarah Small of Boston Ma, I mourn at how easliy folks can be deceived. May the Lord Jesus Christ open the eyes of thier heart to the true Jesus of the scriptures and may they know his mercy, goodness, truth, love and grace and be set free from thier bondage.
I have supported Manasseh with my tithes since July of last year. I knew that his ministry was getting ready to take off, and it is growing every day. I plan on going to one of his many revivals soon.

The reason I don’t approve your comments is because you’re doing something very dishonest called “sock puppeting.” You use one user name to say something negative, and then use another user name to say something positive. I’m not sure what your motives are, but I haven’t been approving your comments for that reason.
Here’s an example: On April 2, 2010, at 8:39 a.m. you logged on as “Gordon” and made this comment:
“Manasseh has now broken away from his father and is starting his own ministry and is signing up people to assist him at his website. People like Manasseh are filthy rich, and seeing people fork over money they don’t have, even running up credit card bills to give these millionaires even more loot, is downright disgusting.”
Then you logged on as Rick last night (as you’ve done before), on April 22, 2010, at 9:12 p.m. and made your above comment in favor of Manasseh Jordan.
I won’t approve your comments any more for that very reason. One moment you say you support Manasseh Jordan’s ministry, and then another you say his practices are downright disgusting. Like I said, I don’t know what your motives are, but I won’t be approving any more of your comments.
