California Attorney General Wants Prop 8 Voided

That’s right, ignore the vote of the people and tell them they were wrong.  After all, they just voted to pass Prop 8 because they know homosexual marriage is morally wrong, but what do they know?  They’re just the voice of the majority.

It burns me up when we are told that we have a voice, just get out and vote, and then people like the Attorney General and the Supreme Court tell people they have no voice, and their decision is shot down.  It hasn’t happened yet, but it probably will.

Here is a snippet from an article on Fox News:

SAN FRANCISCO  —  California Attorney General Jerry Brown changed course on the state’s new same-sex marriage ban Friday and urged the state Supreme Court to void Proposition 8.

In a dramatic reversal, Brown filed a legal brief saying the measure that amended the California Constitution to limit marriage to a man and a woman is itself unconstitutional because it deprives a minority group of a fundamental right. Earlier, Brown had said he would defend the ballot measure against legal challenges from gay marriage supporters.  (Source)

Think you have a voice and that your vote counts?  Think again!  The Godless politicians exercise their own will.

From what I gather from this article, Brown had said that he would protect Proposition 8 against legal challenges from gay marriage supporters…but then he changed his mind and now wants Proposition 8 overturned.  Why such a dramatic departure from his initial stand?  He plans to run for Governor in 2010.  With a large majority of the population in California made up of Hollywood liberals, homosexuals, and homosexual rights advocates, Brown knows he can score some brownie points with this one.

So much for standing up for what is morally right.  Brown is using this issue as a springboard for his own self-serving purposes.  Embracing wickedness to further your own agenda is the height of ungodliness.  I would prefer to stand for or against something because it is morally and spiritually right, not because I am a social and political climber.  People who do that have no moral conscience.  You want someone like that as your governor?  I don’t.

I sincerely hope everyone who is AGAINST Marriage Equality will enjoy paying my federal taxes from now on; I stopped in 2005.

    Two American Myths:
    * Equal Protection Under the Law
    * Separation of Church & State

The National Equality Tax Protest will be on Wednesday, April 15, 2009.
