Today, I traveled to Rowling Meadows, Illinois to attend James MacDonald‘s Elephant Room 2 conversations.  Upon entering the event venue I was met by a security guard and Jim Rowan, an elder at Harvest Bible Chapel and was promptly told that my entrance to the Elephant Room had been revoked and that I had to immediately leave the premises or I would be arrested for trespassing.

Do Not Be Surprised:

About 45 minutes ago, a friend and I walked through the doors of Harvest Bible Chapel in Rolling Meadows, IL. Why? To attend The Elephant Room 2, of course! Upon approaching the registration desk, the volunteers noticed that they could not find my name tag. I was ushered to the side, where I was confronted by Harvest Bible Chapel elder Jim Rowan and told that my registration had been revoked and refunded and that I was to leave the premises immediately.

In an ongoing effort to gather information, talk show host Chris Rosebrough and writer Erin Benziger (as mentioned above) both purchased tickets to Elephant Room II and traveled to the event, which began today. Upon entering the event, however, both were approached by security and told that their registration at the Elephant Room II conference has been revoked. Both Rosebrough and Benziger were told to leave the premises of Harvest Bible Chapel under threat of arrest. Yes, you might want to read that again, and no, it’s no joke.

Apprising Ministries:

So, you can imagine my surprise when Chris Rosebrough of Pirate Christian Radio called to tell me that he and Erin Benziger, a special correspondent of Apprising Ministries were not going to be allowed into ER2.

As they went into the Harvest Bible Chapel Rolling Meadows Campus, which serves as the main campus of this church where James MacDonald serves as Prophet-Führer, they were pulled aside by security and told their registration had been revoked.

Then they were told they must leave the property “immediately.” I was actually on the phone with Chris as he told Jim Rowan, an elder at HBC, that he was a member of the media and that HBC was making a mistake by not allowing him in.

Rosebrough told Rowan that he was going to have to let the wider church know how he and Benziger, as a Christian brother and sister, had been treated by their fellow Christians. I myself heard Rowan say, “Thank you for the threat.”

Obviously, that isn’t a threat so Rosebrough told Rowan it was merely a promise because of this non-Christian conduct. I was still on the phone and I personally heard Rowan tell Rosebrough they:

had called the police and if you don’t leave, I will have you arrested.

Bentley’s Australian Tour has had to be postponed because he was denied entry into the country last week.

Here’s a snapshot and a statement from Bentley’s Fresh Fire USA website:

A trusted source wrote to the Australian Department of Immigration (ADI) to ascertain the reason why Bentley was refused entrance.  The ADI responded that matters of this nature are private, and they will not be making a public statement.

What I’m wondering is if Bentley is being denied access because he’s a Charismatic preacher.  Benny Hinn faced this problem in 2009 when he was denied access into Britain for a time.  More and more governments around the globe are starting to ban charismatic preachers because of their habit of bilking people out of their money.  These governments can see what gullible charismatic followers can not… that these men are hucksters and scam artists, and foreign governments want to protect their citizens from them.

It’s sad when the world has more discernment than many in the modern church.

I don’t know if this decision will be be temporary, or if it’s permanent.  I only know that I have to do this, for now.  I don’t like being asked questions in the comments, or having someone try to engage me in discussion, and not being able to reciprocate because I simply haven’t the time.  I care for all of you, even those who take a swat at me.  I’m still just an e-mail away.  If you want to reach me, you can reach me by clicking on the link in the upper right column.

God Is Not Trying Bring Unity In The Visible Church

I agree with Todd Friel, this is excellent insight.

What if I go into my boss’s office and say I want to have a conversation with him, but then sit there, breathe in and out, and remain silent.  He would look at me like I was nuts.

Why, then, do people insist on praying, but instead go into “the silence?”  There’s only one reason… they want extra-biblical revelation from God.  Translated, that roughly means they aren’t satisfied to know the written Scripture of God and seek for knowledge outside of that, which is forbidden.

God wants us to come to him in prayer, and prayer should be a constant and fruitful part of our daily lives.  (1 Thessalonians 5:17)  It’s counterproductive to go to Him under the guise of prayer and sit there silent.

Using your mind is good.  Silencing it and entering into a trance is bad.  Black.  White.  Up.  Down.  Polar opposites.

The silence is the opposite of 1 Thessalonians 5:17, wouldn’t ya say?

And yes, that does appear to be John Piper standing on stage with Beth Moore and Francis Chan.

In this video, Mills and King discuss how you should go around a spread your “atmosphere.”

Jesus never said to go ye therefore into the world and spread your atmosphere.  Really…he didn’t.  The gospel, yes.  Atmosphere, no!

Hear them in their own words below and then completely disregard anything they have to say.  I can’t believe people really listen to these two as if they ACTUALLY have some sort of Biblical credibility.  Crazy, man.

I think the Scripture-twisting award for 2011 should go to Patricia King.

King says God’s giving out mountains, so you need to go take one!  No, I’m not being facetious.  She really says that in the following video.

I want you to read this Scripture:

Luke 2:49:

49 And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father’s business?

Patricia King said that she was a nurse by trade, but afterwards went into full time ministry.  During study one night, God spoke this verse to her and she just knew God was calling her into business… Kingdom business, that is!

Now, let’s read this verse in context, and you can be sure I’m going to post the full passage and not cherry-pick verses and twist them.

Luke 2:40-51:

40 And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God was upon him. 41 Now his parents went to Jerusalem every year at the feast of the passover. 42 And when he was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem after the custom of the feast. 43 And when they had fulfilled the days, as they returned, the child Jesus tarried behind in Jerusalem; and Joseph and his mother knew not of it. 44 But they, supposing him to have been in the company, went a day’s journey; and they sought him among their kinsfolk and acquaintance. 45 And when they found him not, they turned back again to Jerusalem, seeking him. 46 And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions. 47 And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers. 48 And when they saw him, they were amazed: and his mother said unto him, Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? behold, thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing. 49 And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father’s business? 50 And they understood not the saying which he spake unto them. 51 And he went down with them, and came to Nazareth, and was subject unto them: but his mother kept all these sayings in her heart.

The first question we should ask is, what exactly is the Father’s business?  Could it be to fulfill the commission set out before Him by His Father in Heaven and to convey the message given to Him?  Yes?  Ooookay!  Wasn’t that easy?  Here’s what King says about that one verse…. just that one verse… not the whole passage.

King:

“… but as I was in my devotion time, um, a number of years ago, the Lord spoke to me concerning a Scripture where it said Jesus was about His Father’s business, and I thought, ‘Well, that’s interesting!’ He didn’t say He was about His Father’s ministry, He said He was about His Father’s business.  And so I started to examine that and I realized because I lead a ministry, that I had to walk with my “Daddy” God, walk with the Holy Spirit on how to run the ministry, on how to initiate certain mandates, how to raise funds for it, how to see the different mandates we’re given become fruitful and multiply and that…and the Lord says, ‘You are about your Father’s business.’  And I, and I realized, and I thought, ‘Wow, this is Kingdom Business!”

How King goes from what the Scripture actually says to her interpretation can be achieved in only one way… you’ve got to snip a verse away from the contextual narrative, and apply ding-bat eisegesis to it.

Now, I have an assignment for you (but watch the video first).  I want you to read these verses, and using Patricia King’s mode of interpretation, apply it to these verses.  See what a mess it makes?

Matthew 5:38 Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:  (Wow, God has called me to be a dentist!  Or, maybe an optometrist???  A Kingdom Optometrist!)

Matthew 9:16 No man putteth a piece of new cloth unto an old garment, for that which is put in to fill it up taketh from the garment, and the rent is made worse.  (Yaaaay!  God wants me to be a Kingdom Tailor!)

Matthew 9:17 Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved.  (Yee Haw!  I’m being called to be a Kingdom winemaker!  Or maybe a Kingdom drunk!  Oooooooh, that explains John Crowder!)

Matthew 9:26 And the fame hereof went abroad into all that land.  (Hot diggity!  I’m called to be famous.  All for the Kingdom, of course!  Or, maybe it means I should be a newspaper editor and spread other people’s fame throughout the land???  A KINGDOM EDITOR!)

Romans 11:18 Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee.  (Well, how do ya like that?!  God’s calling me to be a lumber jack!)

We sometimes think that going to the extremes to blaspheme God is limited to atheists and hardcore cults. After all, it is their nature; this is what they do. Their hatred for the God of the Bible is evident in both their words and actions.

Well, think again. Nowadays, much of the blasphemy comes from many who claim to be “Christian”. And, like atheists and cultists, their words and actions demonstrate their hatred for God. Their verbal disrespect for God’s holy and inspired word, the Bible, is not hidden, but is public and in-your-face, and is followed by sickening, hideous laughter.

Whether atheist, cultist, or professing Christian, those who blaspheme God and mock His written word sink into the category of the unsaved. Unless they repent and surrender their lives to Jesus Christ, they will spend eternity in the lake of fire, with no second chance.

Whom have you reproached and blasphemed? And against whom have you raised your voice and haughtily lifted up your eyes? Against the Holy One of Israel! (Isaiah 37:23)

There is a price to pay for blaspheming the Creator and Sustainer of the universe.

Evil personified 

When I see a professing Christian working overtime to perform blasphemous overkill, I am reminded of the importance to remain steadfast in Christ and strong in His word. I am also reminded of the Apostle Paul’s warning in 2 Timothy 3:13: But evil men and impostors will proceed from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.

Deception is like water, it seeks its own level. It enters-in only where it is welcomed, or through the weakest opening. One drop of deceptive water is all it takes to pollute a stream of thirsty, professing Christians. It infects those who seek to cash-in on the latest trend to introduce a false belief system, and destroy Christianity and erase it from the face of the Earth.

Evil men and women are wicked and cold-hearted. They spread deception like rotten seeds on dead, putrefied soil. Impostors claim to be “Christian,” but their fruits have long-since rotted from an infected tree or vine.

Impostors and evil people are of the same breed–mind-to-mind, heart-to-heart, joined at the hip. They think alike, talk alike, and feed off of their demonized quest to turn unwary Christians away from the true and living God. With them, the sky is the limit. They are evil personified, and will stop at nothing to bring confusion, frustration, and doubt to the believer.

Sober reminders

As I wonder just how “worse” deception can get, I never imagined that I would watch a video of a professing Christian ripping a page from the Bible, tearing it into small pieces, and snorting it, like a drug addict would snort cocaine.

But that is what Stacy Denboer did in his YouTube video titled, Snorten’ And Smoken’ 1st and 2nd Peter ( http://tinyurl.com/6wme4mc ). Equally disturbing is Denboer’s partner in the pathetic, Matt Spinks, who is seen holding a rolled page of the Bible in his hand, lighting one end, then smoking it, like one who huffs a joint of marijuana.

To Denboer, his latest ungodly gimmick is snorting ”coke-crucified-caine”. To Spinks, his smoking a page from the Bible is partaking of the “divine nature”. To underscore their blasphemy, the caption under the video reads:

“Shaaazaaaaammmmmm!!! Matt Spinks from Fort Wayne Indiana brought the good stuff down to the sleestak caves!!! Oh my Godka!!! Matt Spinks is such a lemon scented god!!”

With a grin and a laugh orchestrated by Satan, Stacy Denboer and Matt Spinks are leading people into repeating their blasphemy, and leading them down the path to eternal separation from God.

When I see these things, I am reminded of God’s incredible mercy and love towards those who seek every available opportunity to use their whip-like tongues to lash out at Jesus Christ, thereby demonstrating their utter hatred for the One who suffered and died for them on the cross.

They, and those who follow and mimic them, take their place among the false prophets, false teachers, and “wolves” the Apostle Paul and the Apostle Peter warned about in Acts 20:27-31 and 2 Peter 2:1-3.

I am also reminded of the Apostle Paul’s warning in 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12: And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

These are but a few of the sober reminders of God’s mercy, and righteous judgment, upon those who God gives breath, and whose lives God holds in the palms of His hands.

A TORY MP has warned Britons to be wary of claims made by a Canadian preacher who says he can cure cancer and raise the dead.

If you happen to be one of the truly blessed hypercharismatics who managed to get your hands on one of these uber-anointed cell phones, don’t waste any time.  Get out the phone book and call everyone you know!!!  While you’re at it, call all the state and federal prisons, they need a TOUCH!  Don’t forget the mental institutions, those poor souls will be delivered INSTANTLY if you dial their number!

Wait… this gets better… call President Obama, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, or even Vladimir Putin….oh, oh… you could even call up the United Nations… AND WALL STREET… Wall Street nothing… call the Occupy protestors, they really need a touch!

Yeah, this is the same Rick Joyner who supposedly restored Todd Bentley.  Any wonder why I’m not impressed?

Gotta go… I’ve got a hyper-anointed phone bill stuck in my heating vent!

Well, get a load of this video.  Remember how we’ve discussed subliminal cues the hypercharismatics give people before they lay hands on them and “slay” them in the spirit?  I’ve seen people yell, “BAM!” (raising eyebrow at Bentley), and I’ve seen people wind up a “glory bomb” (ahem… you know who you are, Rob DeLuca), but I have to say that I’ve never heard anyone click their tongue.  That’s quite new to me.

Oh, and don’t miss how he yells, “FIRE!” and hits people with his Bible.  If that’s not a cue, I don’t know what is.  Not very subliminal either.

You gotta love these works-based righteousness types.

You know what I think of when I see Steven Furtick?  I think of a spoiled-brat middle schooler.  Remember his “haters” video?  Yeah.  I think you get my point.

Case in point… check out the following tweet from Furtick.  This is one method Furtick has for handling his critics:

Oh, that’s mature.  What’s next?  Is he going to tell his mommy on him?

Okay, look, I happen to take God’s Word seriously, and the book of Titus comes to mind when I read that tweet:

Titus 1:7-9:

7 For the overseer must be above reproach as God’s steward, not self-willed, not quick-tempered, not addicted to wine, not pugnacious, not fond of sordid gain, 8 but hospitable, loving what is good, sensible, just, devout, self-controlled, 9 holding fast the faithful word which is in accordance with the teaching, that he may be able both to exhort in sound doctrine and to refute those who contradict.

Titus 2:6-8:

6 Likewise urge the young men to be sensible; 7 in all things show yourself to be an example of good deeds, with purity in doctrine, dignified, 8 sound in speech which is beyond reproach, in order that the opponent may be put to shame, having nothing bad to say about us.

Titus 3:1-2:

1 Remind them to be subject to rulers, to authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good deed, 2 to malign no one, to be uncontentious, gentle, showing every consideration for all men.

How can we believe Furtick faithfully represents God’s Word when he doesn’t model it in his behavior and conversation?

Remember Melissa Fisher?  C’mon!  You know her.  She’s the lady on Patricia King’s team that has a mortuary outreach!  I’m not kidding.  Click here.

Well, according to Fisher, if you fall into the doldrums and get the mullygrubs in your walk with the Lord – don’t want to read Scripture, don’t want to minister, don’t want to blah, blah, blah – it’s nothing to worry about…. you’re birthing!  Better yet, you’re birthing your next level!

I’ll admit, I don’t always feel like studying.  I love God’s Word and it’s a joy to study.  But, I’m ashamed to admit, sometimes I have to force myself to read and study faithfully.  All this time I thought it was my sinful flesh warring against my spirit.  Not so!  I was birthing my next level!  I have no idea what that means, but it must be true because Melissa Fisher said it.

I NEVER would have known.

So, when I get down in the dumps and don’t feel like praying, don’t feel like studying, don’t feel like… whatever …. I don’t need to worry, I just need to…birth?!?!

Okay, back common sense.  Notice Fisher didn’t give any Scripture reference for what she was teaching?  That’s because this didn’t come from the Bible, it came from the extra-biblical revelation that was dropped into her head.  It can’t be verified by Scripture because Scripture isn’t the source of it!

To be honest, birthing your next level is not just unscriptural, it’s downright ridiculous.

Gotta go… I’m hungry.  I’m gonna go birth up a midnight snack.

As I was looking through some old videos in my stockpile, I came across this gem.  I don’t think I ever posted it, so even though it’s three-years-old, I want to present it to you for your viewing pleasure.

It’s an ode to Emma, sang from Todd Bentley’s point of view!

Ya know, some of the things I feature here at this blog make it really, really hard to post without dissolving into puddles of sarcasm.  When you watch this video you’ll see why.

Patricia King says she has a witness in her spirit that God is releasing entrepreneur giftings!  She even emphasizes her claim by saying, “He is!”  I had no IDEA that was a gift!  That must be in the book of Matthew, chapter 29 (look it up).

Patricia’s spirit is telling her that there are going to be new businesses and new inventions for people because God is pouring out His spirit on them.  She says, “There’s a real lot of oil on it.”  The question now should be, what spirit is telling her these things.  Because I guarantee you the Holy Spirit of God isn’t the source of it.  God’s Spirit would never endorse the seven mountain dominionist mandate, which King is gradually eluding to in this video.  This is worldly.  Carnal.

It always comes back to that, doesn’t it?

I’m thinking of this:

James 4:4-10:

You adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.  Or do you think that the Scripture speaks to no purpose: “He jealously desires the Spirit which He has made to dwell in us”?  But He gives a greater grace. Therefore it says, “GOD IS OPPOSED TO THE PROUD, BUT GIVES GRACE TO THE HUMBLE.”  Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.  Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.  Be miserable and mourn and weep; let your laughter be turned into mourning, and your joy to gloom.  Humble yourselves in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you.

Smelly Metal of the Dissolved Kind
Another ‘outrageous’ story from Bethel Church

Since I was a kid growing up in the backwoods of Alabama, I have enjoyed playing with knives of various shapes and sizes. Pocket knives, Bowie knives, fighting daggers, a rare survival knife, and a museum-quality knife from Spain go to make up my small collection.

Indeed, it’s amazing what a trained craftsman can do with a chunk of metal.

By now, you’re probably asking yourself, “So, what’s that got to do with anything?”

Well, while strolling through Bill Johnson’s Bethel Church website yesterday, I stumbled across a quite unusual healing testimony–the type that makes you shake your head and wonder if there really is life on other planets.

In fact, I must confess that reading the article caused me to sniff a couple of my knives to see how they smelled. Hey, stop laughing! There’s a first time for everything. Besides, I have heard that great smellers are what made this country great.

Anyway, after reading the article, you will understand why I think professional knife makers (and steel mill workers) would appreciate the lady’s unusual “anointing,” and use the service she provides–despite how “outrageous” and, uh, smelly it is. Here it is, and enjoy your trip into The Twilight Zone:

Teams from Bethel went to the annual Nebraska trip at which occur outrageous miracles. Here is one from a past trip a couple of years ago. As metal disappeared from the neck of a woman, she could taste it in her mouth, and those around her could smell metal burning. She had a fused neck, which is now free. This time, Joaquin Evans asked her to share that testimony, and as she did, he said he felt she had an anointing to see metal dissolve. They prayed for her. The next day, she went out with one of the teams to another city and prayed for a man with metal in his lower leg. He hadn’t had feeling in his calf muscle and foot for 14 years.
