For the last year, maybe longer, I have been contemplating making my blog a read-only blog. Not because I don’t enjoy discussion, but because my professional life has made it nearly impossible for me to devote the time needed to properly moderate the comment section. The only reason I haven’t done it until now is because I’ve come to know and love the people who are regular commentors here. However, I recently started a new job, and that job takes more of my time than the job I left, so I have made the difficult decision to close the comments on this site.
I don’t know if this decision will be be temporary, or if it’s permanent. I only know that I have to do this, for now. I don’t like being asked questions in the comments, or having someone try to engage me in discussion, and not being able to reciprocate because I simply haven’t the time.
