Manasseh Jordan: Self Promotion and Exaltation

In these two videos, Manasseh Jordan talks about himselfhis power, his knowledge, him, him, him.  He speaks of all the ways the power works through him.  If you want a lesson about self-promotion, look at Manasseh Jordan.  He doesn’t need to hire a marketing firm because no one could advertise for him more than himself.

Shouldn’t a minister of the gospel speak of Jesus once in a while?  Jesus doesn’t even get an honorary mention here.

There are some classic ways you can spot a false prophet, but one sure way you can tell is by hearing who he spends the most time talking about.  If a man claims to be a prophet and only talks about himself and how wonderful and powerful he is… he’s a false prophet.

Is that Mike Murdoch? Mike Murdoch and Benny Hinn, two of the premier hustlers in TV “evangelism”. First off,Manasseh? Is that his real name? Is that hair his or are those extensions!?

  2. JG says:

The ‘sign seekers’ who go to stuff like this will always be chasing ‘signs and wonders’. Having a reprobate mind or a mind void of judgment is a sign of the judgment of God. And I believe there are many under judgment for their carnality and need to see ‘signs’.

  3. You should have warned us that he was going to sing

  4. Bob Scruggs says:

Hinn, Murdock, gets commission on the new guys they bring in it’s all deception!

  5. Daffydil says:

There is a huge difference between “the deep things of God” and the spirit of divination which supplies this man with personal information such as bank account numbers! Don’t be surprised to see him go “Hollywood” and they will embrace him for sure. He can sing (sort of), he can dance, and he can certainly act. Hollywood refers to this as a “triple threat”. For the time being, he seems to be carving out a good career for himself. What is tragic is that it comes at the expense of those who truly need a touch from God. Seeing this kind of stuff always leaves me with the question of “how long”. How long will the Lord allow this to continue?

  6. Doug says:

I’m going to try my hand at this ‘prophesying’ business. I can see (covers eyes with hand) that M.Jordan is being groomed to star in his own ‘reality tv’ show which will not be on a TBN or Godtv network, but something more mainstream to reach a broader audience.
He will be shown on the cover of…(Doug starts a mystical hum) Newswe…no!…US weekly magazine with a splash title “The New Face of Christianity”. Is that Jordan shaking hands with President Obama? Wow.
I must rest now. My work here is done.

  7. ian vincent says:

A true prophet would expose the sin and corruption, first, and not give out bank account numbers.

Benny Hinn would never allow a true NT prophet on his platform.

  8. Javanut says:

@Daffydil I agree! How long O Lord will you tarry and allow this abomination to continue? Come Lord Jesus and take up Your throne!

  9. ray says:

Yep , the old slay the masses with your annointed coat trick, now where have we seen that one before. Seriously , anyone that shares a stage with Benny the Hunn has some obvious credibility issues. What is witnessed in these videos is far removed from a belief that is based solely on scripture.

  10. 2plus2 says:

The three ‘wise/con men’….Hinn, Murdock and Manasseh….LOL….Once again I will say it…anyone who watches this junk and really believes it has no idea what so ever about God, so any argument they may have is baseless. And of course, the three ‘wise/con men’ should be ashamed of their selves

  11. Lady D says:

@Steve, lololololol & rof!!!!! Thanks for the laugh brother!!! When he started singing, I had to turn it off-what a joke!!! This is so sad, come quickly Lord Jesus~

  12. ali says:

“If My people who are called by My name humble themselves, and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
    2 Chronicles 7:14

I see none humbling themselves, praying, seeking His face nor turning from their wicked ways – we too should examine ourselves closely before speaking. Judgment begihas begun in the house of God.

“How can you say to your brother, ‘Brother, let me take out the speck that is in your eye,’ when you yourself do not see the log that is in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take out the speck that is in your brother’s eye.” Luke 6:42

Our heart should be grieved by those who are drawing so many into their web of lies and deception – for if we as His church do not pray for the lost – who will?

When they start bragging on them selves its time to take a walk and never return. The only one they need to be bragging on is Jesus and what hes done.

  15. Carolyn says:

In the natural I am a little sad for Manassah Jordan because of the mentoring he has had. He has been inundated with the prosperity gospel and the idea of the prophetic….. and as a youth, how many could resist the stardom offered him by Benny Hin. At that age, growing up as a Pentecostal I would have done somersaults like Bro Franklin and Moonwalked half way to heaven. MJ has been propelled into a god like standing, with Benny standing by, beaming his approval and giving constant, reverential applause at this magical, mystical gift!

BTW, MJ says his hands heat up as he is under the annointing. Those that practice magic claim that experience as well… as do some Reiki healers and other mystic healers. They feel a heat energy sensation in their hands as they perform and connect with the occult. That would certainly give me pause for thought as a Christian…nothing to do with the work of the cross and healing done in the name of Jesus Christ…but common among those who deny the power of the gospel.

Ian, good point. What is he trying to prove by telling people their bank account numbers?…it adds credibility to his fortune telling ability and proves to the gullible that he is psychic, but in terms of Christianity…a worthless exercise. It is all part and parcel of proving his false prosperity gospel. If you listen to his “sermons”, they revolve around “godliness for gain” and trying to prove the point that God is out to prosper you…

In my opinion, he is a confused young man. Rather than maturing in the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, he is being molded into a specialized faith healer with significant magical powers. The sorcerer’s apprentice.

The gift of Christ on the other hand, in its simplicity is of powerful consequence and eternal significance.
    Isaiah 55:1
[ Invitation to the Thirsty ] “Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost.
    John 4:14
but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”

  16. Erin says:

Todd Bentley’s father laid hand on my head and he said his hands got hot. It is very common in the prophetic circles.

  17. Ruitje says:

I am watching the first video. It is all self-exaltation and this has nothing to do with the Holy Spirit. It is just like Simon the Sorcerer wanted a power he could control. He didn’t want Jesus or God, he only wanted the power so people would follow him instead of Christ.

And when this man is singing, I can imagine that people fall down: his voice is so terrible that people just faint. ;)

  18. Ruitje says:

When Mannaseh speaks about the anointing as ‘it’,he talks about the force, a power. May be he watched to much Star War’s movies.

BIll Randles once had a sermon about he story of Balaam. Balaam and Balak wanted the power and wanted to use the gods and even the God of Israël on their terms. People want the power so they can use it on their terms. But they don’t want God, because then they have to do it on His terms…

When folks like Mannaseh speak about ‘the power’, ‘it’, they are acting like Balaam. They want to use the power on their terms and that is a pagan form of religion.

  19. Ruitje says:

Why would God give Mannaseh names, phonenumbers and creditcardnumbers of people? I think he just had seen the information that people had to give to register for the meeting…

The methods of Mannaseh look a lot like the methods of Peter Popov, a faith healer who was exposed.

  20. Carolyn says:

@Erin…my point exactly. I take it you meant common in the FALSE prophetic circles?

The strange thing is that no matter what we say to those who follow these false prophets, to deter them from distorting the gospel with their hot little hands, (think Baalam rushing for profit) they will not listen, because they are bent on having things their way. Their thinking is that the Lord’s power is at their disposal.

Rather the Spirit has a mind and a will. He tells US what he wants. It’s always been that way and will continue to be that way.

So even if these FALSE prophets started out as born again believers, babes in Christ, they have strayed off the path because instead of maturing in the path of righteousness and truth, they have departed from the faith into uncharted territory, into doctrines of demons and seductions of dark spirits; in pursuit of hot healing hands and many other supernatural signs.

How many times have we seen zealous souls demanding spiritual power and seeking it by other than patiently coming to an understanding of the Scriptures? And invariably they have tapped into a very different and dangerous source of power than that which agrees with the Word.

And it becomes evident very shortly which spirits they are following because instead of being the preachers of truth and righteousness, they produce the fruit of deception and every evil work, including immorality and idolatry.

John 16:12 “I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. 13 But when he, THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH, COMES, HE WILL GUIDE YOU INTO ALL TRUTH. He will not speak on his own; HE WILL SPEAK ONLY WHAT HE HEARS, and he will tell you what is yet to come. 14 HE WILL GLORIFY ME because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you.

And Erin, you got all that from me from your little short post. :-)…….free of charge.

  21. Crowds of people with duping preachers who are being duped.

  22. truth speaker says:

This is nothing compared to the acts of his father, E.Bernard Jordan. He is into Silva Mind Control, New Age, spent time under the tutelage of the late “Rev. Ike”, recently returned from a pilgrimage with Hindu priests, and is an active yoga enthusiast. His latest teaching on his website is Cosmic Economics. The fact that his son, Manasseh, even mentions the Bible or God is a miracle in itself. Plus in the second video, we have Bishop Clarence McClendon; the one who divorced his first wife because the Lord showed him his next wife????!!!! These are the days when we have to study the Word of God for ourselves and turn off religious networks because they have become dens of iniquity and lies.

  23. My question as always remains this:

    (1) Are men like Manasseh knowingly performing as charlatans to profit off the donations of their duped followers?

    or

    (2) Are men like Manasseh themselves duped by some spirit (or spirits) other than the Holy Spirit?

One way or the other they are without excuse. If it is the first, they have knowingly chosen to deceive others in the name of God. If it is the second, they have not truly tested the spirits. The greatest thing we can do is pray. I honestly believe God is using men like this for his purpose: to seperate the sheep from the goats.
