Is Your Pastor a Bible Teacher or a Philosopher?

I found this on Facebook (HT:  Jackie Macon) and wanted to post it because it answers the heresy spoken by Cindy Trimm in my previous post below entitled, “Cindy Trimm and Juanita Bynum: God Can’t Come Here!”

  1. I’m happy to report to you all that the answer to this question for me is that “YES” – my pastor is a Bible Teacher, and since we’ve been there the only thing we’ve done is go through the book of II Samuel learning the life of David, 1 chapter per week. Fantastic.

Now, it has taken me 6 churches in 2 countries before I found this. And I researched many that I didn’t attend first. These are 6 churches that I actually attended for a time. I think more than anything that fact is evidence of the times in which we live.

Thanks Chrystal. I don’t usually listen to or watch videos on blogs. I’m very selective. This on was great. Keep up the fine work.

    Great video.

Again like Juanita and her gal pal, Benny and Kenny live in a Peter Pan/Tinkerbell world — a world that will swallow and follow anything.

“My people perish for lack of knowledge.”

A timely question. I must admit that I rarely listen to any Christian media anymore. I had the unfortunate experience of watching some pastors from the now defunct arm of Dave Martin International, Ultimate Life Church, engage in teachings that were psychobabble. It is one thing to teach about what the Bible has to say about lifestyle and money. It is quite another to sell twisted opinions as God’s word. These folks title themselves as inspirational speakers, success coaches and income builders, but what of salvation and a foundation of godliness? Whether it’s IV Hillard or Bob Harrison or “Dr. favor”, I want no part of it.

Mark Keilar is known for sound, clear teaching. His “Word Pictures” video series is first rate. He did a series called”How God converts a human soul” that changed my life. There is another series called “The Sovereinty of God” that is also excellent. He had a network called CrossTV that is an excellant counter to the Total Blasphemy Network, better known as TBN

Excellent video. It took us several churches before we also have finally found a decent Bible preaching church. We are in Matthew now, one chapter a week, verse by verse… I wish this video could be posted for all Christians to see and consider. For there are many deceptions sucking in sheep just now.

Thank you, Chystal, for posting this. Sometimes it is hard to tell the sheep from the wolves when they know the language and can mimic Christians.
I know I’ve said it before, and others have, but I hope that you step away from all of this ‘stuff’ often, take breaks. It’s a lot of ‘ick’ to wade through, especially the Hinn/WOF garbage. May God Bless you today, friend.
