Emergent Road Sign

I got this picture in e-mail (thanks Truthinator), and I laughed when I saw it.  Let’s see if you guys share my sparkling sense of humor.  This is an “Emergent” road sign.

I’m still laughing.

Edited to add the proper name above.

  1. Wait a minute. The emergent movement told me that all roads lead to the same end, but in this very clear road sign I can see they don’t! Have I been lied to? :)

  2. Truthinator says:

Thanks for posting this, Chrystal. I post many such humor and satire pieces on the Truthinator’s Blog.

  3. Rev's Kate & Rich M. says:

    Super sign!

That is their prime problem–Jesus isn’t the Emergent Church’s “…way, truth and life…” and until that truth hits home, deeply within their marrow, the insane circling within a traffic circle with no turn off, or a sincere desire to turn off, will eternally perpetuate into getting lost and being lost–neurotically round and round!

Gotta just be amused by their unending stupidity… K

  4. Qaton says:

Since when are false doctrines, lies, and deception reason to laugh? Since when is Satan’s successful, evil work comedy for a Christian? Do Christians laugh at sin and evil?

The end of their evil path is eternal damnation, everlasting destruction, the second death, weeping and gnashing of teeth, pain, misery and hoplessness. They are headed for the unending righteous wrath of Almighty God. Are Christians so cold hearted as to stand there laughing at, and having fun with, that which will destroy men’s lives.

I’m sorry, I don’t share your “sparkling” sense of humor.

  5. Qaton says:

James 1:22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

“Duly repented” would speak better things concerning your spiritual state.

  6. Rev's Kate & Rich M. says:

Qaton–”duly repented”, to whom are you referring? In love, I assure you, I am asking, so please do not be offended.

    Are you speaking of Chrystal?

Opinions and comments are granted and wanted, that’s how we all grow–Chrystal is a true woman of God, she bears the saints burden together with us all, and including yourself, to make sure the wolves stay at bay; a sense of humor is imperative, or we all would slowly die from constantly being in a state of active warring, fight or flight!

Be cool, my friend and serve God with a merry heart as it does good like a medicine!

    God’s best,
    K

  7. Carolyn says:

In coming to the defense of Chrystal’s posting of the satirical Emergent road sign…many of her blogs are to get people thinking.

If you know much about the Emergent doctrine…this satire is pretty accurate and I’m quite sure that is what she was laughing about…not their eternal damnation.

Qaton: I know that Chrysal’s heart is against the slaughter of the sheep. I think your rebuke could have been stated more gently…then maybe, possibly, it would not have been so offensive. But you are acting like a legalist!…out for the last drop of blood. Don’t oppose those who are trying their best to share the simple gospel with a fiery dart of arrogant antagonism.

    2 Timothy 4:
16 At my first defense, NO ONE CAME TO MY SUPPORT, but everyone deserted me. May it not be held against them. 17 But the Lord stood at my side and gave me strength, so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed and all the Gentiles might hear it.

  8. Rev's Kate & Rich M. says:

Good morning ladies and gents–well, let’s just put this whole shebang in the correct content–if you would permit me: we live in perilous times (2 Timothy ), so let’s stop beating around the bush, get to work in defeating the enemy–which from my observation, it looks like we here are doing just that, both on this site and around the world.

    I’m proud of the Faithful!

I have learned, until I know what’s going on around me, I really have no opinion or comment, for I will look to be a fool–and Satan does a pretty good job accomplishing that or trying to anyway.

So, let’s pound the ever-lovin’ tar out of the wolves doctrine instead of skinning the sheep alive, please–it tears down God’s kingdom and divides; I know, and you know, that we all know just who those dastardly wolves are! Snarl!

Have a wonderful Sunday, sisters and brothers and well done, you are God’s good and faithful servants…

    Much love,
Sisiter Kate and Brother Rich M. :)

  9. Rev's Kate & Rich M. says:

Error–”… the whole shebang in the correct context…”

God bless and good night and remember, let us smile and be joyful, for it, the joy of the Lord, is our strength.

Much love in Christ… and let us keep our hope in God, for great is His faithfulness. K
