  1. Torey says:

“He who oppresses the poor to make much for himself or who gives to the rich, will only come to poverty.”What a thoroughly memorable quote.

  2. Josh Parker says:

Perhaps this explains why a tax payer funded bailout of wall street was never a good idea.

  3. Ron Larson says:

Last weekend I was flipping through cable channels, in vain looking for “something” worht watching, and I came upon Peter Popoff. I was sad, for the hundreds packed into a hotel conference room, expecting that the alleged man of God to bestow his anointing on them to heal them, prosper them, deliver them. Same feeling of anger, same grievance that the Holy Spirit has when those who continue to pour hundreds of millions of dollars spread out to the more well know men and women who proclaim that by giving to THEM, they will release whatever it is they “have.” They of course don’t “prosper”. And yet, day after day, week after week, they give, hope and expect that “This is their day.” It’s nothing more than an idolatrous heart always seeking after things, anointings, impartations, visitations, and of course they want their financial burdens lifted. Imagine if those outside of the church decided to give a “love offering to Bill Gates, or worse someone like Bernie Madoff, convicted ponzi schemer, in a effort to receive. Really in my mind, there is little difference. Time again, these charlatans, craft a mesages that completly twist the history, meaning and gist of the author’s intent given throught the Holy Spirit. Sadly, unless these folks become biblically literate they will continue to be manipulated by those who preach merely to line themselves with other’s earnings.
