Manasseh Jordan: Self-Promotion is the Key to Success

Manasseh Jordan has some serious delusions of grandeur going on.  His self-promotion is antithetical to the humble spirit exhibited by the apostle Paul who sought to know nothing but Jesus Christ and Him crucified.

Manasseh Jordan serves Manasseh Jordan, as is evidenced by the following video.  We don’t have to ponder how wonderful he thinks he is, he’ll tell us himself.

One thing that I have tried to do when listening to a preacher or teacher is to use 2 filtering criteria . . .
1 – Would this teaching mean the same thing to a persecuted brother or sister in China, of the middle east? (a good filter for “word of faith”, “name it and claim it”, etc.)
2 – Who is being glorified in what is being taught, God or the one teaching? (This will help in determining who the teacher wants you to follow, God or themselves)

Satan’s schemes haven’t changed, it’s always the exaltation of man over God.

  2. “The prophet” lol!

  3. Brother K says:

So, uh…anyone keeping tabs on the accuracy of Profit Manasseh’s predictions or “words of God” so far? Anyone…? Bueller…?

This one’s going to be interesting to watch if for no other reason than with Manasseh, we’re about to get some DISTILLED False Prophetic. I mean, one would assume that Benny Hinn & Manasseh’s father Bishop Jordan actually had lives from before their entry into the prophecy game and maybe some vestigial restraint. Manassaeh on the other hand has been incubated in this dreary heresy con since day one…

  4. Ruitje says:

It’s sad to see all those selfpromoting prophets and apostles. Just put ‘Jesus’on you product and sell it to the ‘christians’ who do not discern. Big business.

This next video is a parody but shows exactly that it’s all about ME, not Jesus:

  5. Sergio says:

“Two men went up into the temple to pray, one Manasseh Jordan and the other a sola scriptura guy. “Manasseh Jordan stood and was praying this to himself: ‘God, I thank You that I am not like other people: baptists, presbyterians, reformed folk… or even this so called “believer” that doesn’t speak in tongues or prophesy. “But the sola scriptura guy, standing some distance away, was even unwilling to lift up his eyes to heaven, but was beating his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, the sinner! “I tell you, this man went to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but he who humbles himself will be exalted.”

Though I try to make light of this video, I have to say that it is desperately sad… Not for Manasseh, but for the precious deceived souls that bow at his feet.

  6. stephenmz says:

“Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” Matt 7:22

  7. Mike A says:

I would like to know 1 prophet of the Old Testament who was not laughed at, shunned and even killed by his own people. Overwhelmingly, the prophets were vilified.

If you look at today’s so called “prophets”, they are lifted up on pedestals by saints and sinners alike.

  8. Meg says:

This guy is antichrist. Antichrist means in place of christ. This video really tells that Manasseh is all about self.

  9. Robert L. says:

From ” Let Us Reason ”

Jesus spoke of the hypocrites that prayed to be seen. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward” (Matt 6:5). You can substitute anything else besides pray, whether it’s their good works, giving, spiritual gifts… “They love the best places at feasts, the best seats in the synagogues” (Matthew 23:6). They lived to be noticed and seen as more important than others. Speaking of the Pharisee’s John 12:43 for they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.”

Our intent should be as the psalmist Ps 67:1-2 “God be merciful to us and bless us, and cause His face to shine upon us. That Your way may be known on earth, your salvation among all nations” (derived from Numbers 6:24-26). Instead we see men’s names replacing Christ’s name, and their reputation presented to the people as business leaders, healers and miracle workers (though they may give secondary honor to Jesus). We always need to be careful of the traps of being sought after and exalted. Once pride sets in it becomes harder to return to walking in humility and letting God use you as He once may have.

Jesus said, “Take heed that you do not do your charitable deeds before men, to be seen by them. Otherwise you have no reward from your Father in heaven” (Matthew 6:1).

When one wants to be noticed for what they do, they do it in the public’s eye. They have strategies to make the most out of the event. Even if it is good deed what they do builds up their pride and importance. Jesus instructed, “But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, “that your charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly”(Matt 6:3-4). Many will already have their reward by being noticed and have no treasure in heaven.

The real servants are those who work without the cameras on them, without the news reporting their good deeds, without touring to give a personal testimony that will promote themselves or make them important. The real servant has an attitude of not trying to be found in the spotlight while they do God’s work. A real servant is busy doing God’s work whether he is noticed or unnoticed. He doesn’t care if anyone watches him. His reward will be later.

We have the example of Jesus; when He came to earth He did not take up living in a mansion but came having no reputation. He did not dress as royalty and solicit money or worship from people. He was a prince who truly became a pauper, owning the clothes on his back. “Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich” (2 Cor. 8:9, 2 Cor.6:10; Jms.2:5), [spiritually rich]. He lived among humanity to identify with the people He was sent to earth to die for sin, to carry their sorrows and pain away. To be among the very people he created and loved.

He often had a crowd gather after his reputation spread but He didn’t wait to have a crowd, instead, He often retreated from the crowds. “Yet He warned them not to make Him known” (Matthew 12:16; Mt.9:30-31; Mark 3:12; Mk.7:17). He was not after drawing the biggest crowd to work his miracles and give His message. “I am among you as the One who serves” (Luke 22: 27).

Philippians 2:5-11 “Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

  10. annunk says:

It’s HUMBLE yourself in the sight of the Lord.

  11. Mike Larsen says:

And what would be the “prosperity anointing” that he would pray over the people in Haiti? And what about the Christians (children) who were hacked to pieces by the “peaceful” Muslims? Would he preach their best life now too? I could just spit fire when I listen to the lies and false hope this heretic spews from the pit of Hell that has nothing to do with salvation, sanctified living, humility, less of us and more of Christ, concern for others instead of concern for their own bank balance, etc. It’s maddening.

    In His service,

    Mike

  12. Katie says:

The lady at the end states: “I thank God for the prophet…he is just amazing!” I guess that says it all. No thanking God for His son Jesus Christ…just THE prophet.
    @ Ruitje…funny (& sad) video.

  13. Mickey Merrie says:

Can you folks maybe give me some assistance? Most of the folks who follow these “modern ministers” do so based upon how they “feel” about their “salvation” and their walk.
How then shall we deal with them with regards to their feelings based christianity.
Can you give me some sound doctrine, scriptures, teachings that deal directly with this issue?
This is an honest appeal for suggestions/directions, and not anything else. I appreciate the wisdom seen in the responses from this blog?

    Thanks;

    Mickey

  14. Friend of Manasseh says:

All I see on here is people casting stones and judging Manasseh. I have supported this young Man of God for some time. He is only 20 yeaars old, and has already built a large ministry, travelling around the world to prophecy to the people of God. He will soon be on TV. He has a special gift, and it should be encouraged and nurtured, not beaten down and trampled on by the wolve pack! Shame on everyone here!!

    • Chrystal says:

      1 Timothy 3:1-6:

1 It is a trustworthy statement: if any man aspires to the office of overseer, it is a fine work he desires to do. 2 An overseer, then, must be above reproach, the husband of one wife, temperate, prudent, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, 3 not addicted to wine or pugnacious, but gentle, peaceable, free from the love of money. 4 He must be one who manages his own household well, keeping his children under control with all dignity 5 (but if a man does not know how to manage his own household, how will he take care of the church of God?), 6 and not a new convert, so that he will not become conceited and fall into the condemnation incurred by the devil.

Manasseh Jordan is 20-years-old and a novice, which the Bible warns against lest they swell with conceit (which Jordan has in spades) and fall into the same condemnation of the devil. Being on television doesn’t make him special, it only means he has many blind sheep in Laodicea who are willing to support him. The true test of Jordan’s ministry is not how successful he is, but his doctrine, and when compared Biblically, his doctrine is false.

  15. One ofGodsTrue Warriors says:

    Firstly to Ruitje,

thanks for that little video parody. That is so true of worship singers, pastors, leaders, preachers, teachers etc of the modern day apostate church. Its always about them, and they give themselves and each other far more praise , Glory, honour, and thanks than they ever do the Lord.

Im in Aussie and its no different here, than in America. The churches over here preach the same Godless Doctrine, feed themselves on the same garbage, love money more than God, teach prosperity, purpose, finding favour and destiny instead of sin and dying to self.
Their twitter pages ,facebooks and websites about their churches are nothing more than a self glorification of what they believe they are doing to honour God and spread his word. They constantly let everyone know how many souls they believe they are saving , and how great they are preaching, and how the supposed Godly fire and other such signs and wonders fell because of them onto the awestruck crowd .
Its a sad and terrible world we live in, when the sins of the world ,have infiltrated the church so much ,that its become just like the world.
Even though we are told to not be of this world and to forsake it in the bible.
Idolatry and pride are sins that are so rampant in the church these days, the very sins that made satan become what he is. I look at these churches and christians and they represent more of satan day by day, yr by yr .
God did warn us though that this would happen in the last days, and sure enough his word once again is being proved to be true by these very sort of churches.
And one day these “me christians” will stand before our God, and then they will truly see what he has thought of their churches and their so called love for him.
I personally am sooooooooo grateful to God for giving me his wisdom, truth and discernment , and allowin me to see the truth about these sorts of ministries world wide , so I dont become one of the mindless flock of goats following a hedonistic, narcisstic, prideful prophet, teacher, preacher, healer etc to hell.

Thanks Chrystal for your website , its very informative, and exposes the lies of satan that are happenin in the churches of today. Keep up the good work . I have given your website to a few christian friends to read, to help keep them informed too.
Because what comes from your country in the realms of religion , is bound to end up in mine . And I like u, dont want to see any christian deceived by wolves , who like nothin better than to preach their filth to anyone with an itchin ear . I just pray christians world wide, stop their ears from itchin and repent before its too late.

But sadly I just dont see that happenin for the majority, because their itch is gettin bigger each day , and satan is all to happy to keep on scratchin them with his lies via the wolves.

Great comments from all of you. Just speaking the Word of truth is refreshing! And you never know when something you say might reach the listening ear of a wandering sheep or be something the Holy Spirit has inspired for one who is feeling the heat of the day.
    2 Corinthians 2:14-15
14But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him. 15For we are to God the aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing.

Don’t worry, flase prophets are literally everywhere. In NZ there’s a false prophet called “Bishop” Brian Tamaki. He formed the Destiny Church. This self-procaimed “bishop” is surrounded by members of bike gangs. Just recently all the male mebers of his cult were “encouraged” to PURCHASE what is called a “Covenent Ring”. It cost NZ$300. It’s exclusively for the male mebers and it is to act as a contant reminder of the “new Covenant”. Guess whose name is on the ring – Brian Tamaki!!

  20. Ruitje says:

@Friend of Manasseh, you wrote He is only 20 years old, and has already built a large ministry, travelling around the world to prophecy to the people of God..

I see someone who is building his own ministry, his own kingdom. And that is very sad. You look at him as someone special, but we all are children of the Father, no one is special. All the glory should be for Jesus Christ and God the Father, not for a man who is building ministries and gives himself the title ‘The Propeth’. May God bless you and open your eyes so you will see only Jesus Christ, the Truth.

  21. Sergio says:

    @Friend of Manasseh…

Unfortunately your words seriously undermine your name choice. You see FOM, if you where truly his friend you would be more concerned about his eternal state than about what this site writes about him. You, by encouraging him are just pouring concrete into his already heretical foundation. Manasseh from childhood has been injected the poison concocted by his father, the self proclaimed “master prophet”, and now he is nose-deep in a sea of arrogance generated by people who have made him into a golden calf. He needs to be told the truth! He need to be told that his job (if he truly is called) is to preach Christ and him crucified. He needs to be told to preach repentance for the forgiveness of sins. He needs to be told to preach the gospel, that is what saves and nothing else does. He is nothing but a cash cow, groomed by men that do not love the gospel… but love money. This boy needs to see the truth of Gods word, so why don’t you pray about that and turn your admiration into concern for him and those souls that are deceived with this false teaching.

  22. unworthy1 says:

To friend, you state ‘All I see on here is people casting stones and judging Manasseh. Shame on everyone here!!’—-Have you weighed this young man’s claims in light of God’s word, or are you placing your trust in his ‘ministry’…these are questions you must answer. What makes you think his ministry is ‘of God’!
Do you understand the command to ‘deny self, pick up your cross and follow Jesus’. That means you die to self, you do not exalt ‘self’. Deception is the best weapon Satan has against biblically illiterate people, folks who want to chase after razzle dazzle, glitter, and dog and pony shows. The Bible teaches the exact opposite…prophets who prophesy are proven legit IF what they say comes to pass, if not, they are false. They cannot be wrong even ONE time. The prophetic gift is no longer in use, how can it be…the canon is closed. If someone claims to have a ‘new revelation’ or a ‘new message from God’, they are a liar. The Bible is God’s word, God does not speak outside His written word. Everything that has and will happen is already laid out within the 66 books.
We are called to judge the words, works of those who profess to be Christian and expose their deeds for what they are. You are in error to falsely accuse others of wrong judgment, especially if your accusation is based on upholding false teachings of this dead-in-sin man. You call him a ‘man of God’, based on what. You boast of his ministry growth, but, what makes you think it is of God. As for his soon being on tv, there are tons of hucksters all over the television, for instance, Benny Hinn, Paul and Jan Crouch, Creflo Dollar, Mike Murdoch, the list grows by the day.
People believe this type of garbage because they want the best of both worlds, they want to believe they can hold on to worldliness and yet step into God’s holy kingdom when their life ends. They do not like to hear of repentance, judgment, and wrath for those who cleave to sin, including materialism, the love of money, immorality, greed, selfishness, so on and so forth. You, friend, are being deceived by Satan. Seek truth, as painful as it may be, cry out to God to show you the deception here. Don’t just close your ears and eyes to what’s been said and place your trust in man. May God be merciful.

  23. WatEenZooitje says:

@ Friend of Manasseh : I have some questions for you and I hope you will answer it honestly to yourself and God. A. Is Manasseh Jordan higher ranked and more favored by God than you? B. If yes, is he the new messiah or one of the 2 witnesses described in revelation. If No, why are you defending him that strict as if someone was criticizing Jesus himself, or do you equals Manassah with Jesus? C. What did Manasseh ever did something personal for you. Did he pay your bills, did he save you from a difficult situation, did he comfort you personally? When you die and when you meet God as judge, will Manasseh plea on your behalf? If yes, maybe then you can spread the gospel of Manasseh Jordan, otherwise it would be the gospel of Jesus Messiah, the one and only true Anointed One!

  24. Bud Press says:

    Brothers and Sisters:

I noticed that Friend of Manasseh (FoM) wrote in and accused you of “casting stones” and “judging” Manasseh, then beating Manasseh down and trampling him like a “pack” of wolves. Then I noticed that some of you encouraged FoM to witness to and share the truth to Manasseh.

Folks, in the first place, if FoM knew the truth he/she would not supporting, promoting, and defending Manasseh Jordan, nor would FoM be calling discerning Christians a pack of wolves.

FoM is just as blind as Manasseh Jordan, and we need to keep that in mind.

I will assume you are telling the truth about knowing Manasseh Jordan, and further assume that you know Manasseh’s father, E. Bernard Jordan, and maybe Benny Hinn. Whatever the case may be, I would appreciate your reading this article, “The Prophet, the ‘God’ and the Heretic” and let me know your thoughts:

  26. Friend of Manasseh says:

Boy, I sure stirred the hornets nest here it would seem. I just happen to know Manasseh and I would be willing to bet most of you don’t. Maybe I was a bit harsh by calling many on here out. I’ll apologize for that. But, I note with interest that one of the responses I received said that Manasseh has been injected with poison. C’mon folks, we disagree over Prophet, but let’s try to keep it civil. I support the Prophet and his ministry and have for some time, and am looking at expanding my support soon. Look, I support him and you don’t. I get that.

  27. David says:

@FoM, here is what the scriptures say regarding being a true desciple to Jesus:

“If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple. And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.” (Luke 14:26-27 KJV)

“So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.” (Luke 14:33 KJV)

So, as a good friend and supporter of Manasseh, do you think he will obey or is even capable of obeying the words of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus? Jesus expects Manasseh to follow HIM and not Benny Hinn or his father! To be a true minister for our Lord, Manasseh must repent, deny himself of all worldly wealth, take up his cross and follow Jesus! You know him I don’t, but in all good conscience, and being honest with yourself, Is Manasseh truly capaple of being obedient to the scriptures and not to Benny Hinn. The Christian walk is a walk and a life of sacrifice!! We voluntarily give up the riches pleasures of this world in order to obtain a and new everlasting life in Christ Jesus!! If Manasseh humble himself befor God, was to walk away from all the that his father and Benny Hinn have “puffed him up” to be, then he would prove himself worthy. Not to us, but to Jesus!! If you really are a true friend of Manasseh,
then you’ll remind him of what the the Apostle Paul said:

“Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure. Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, holding fast the word of life, so that I may rejoice in the day of Christ that I have not run in vain or labored in vain.” Philippians 2:12-16 NKJV

  28. Bud Press says:

    Friend of Manasseh:

No, the “hornets nest” was stirred up way before you came along. And as long as there are “hornets” who teach falsely, the nest will continue to be stirred up by Christians who care about the spiritual welfare of those being deceived.

In your above posts, you have made it clear that you know and support Manasseh Jordan. Do you know Manasseh’s father, E. Bernard Jordan? Are you aware that he believes he is “God” and that you can become “God”?

Since I have tried to contact Manasseh, perhaps you would read this article ( http://www.christianresearchservice.com/Manasseh_Jordan3.htm ), and encourage Manasseh to read it, then ask Manasseh to answer the following question:

Manasseh, your father claims to be “God”. Do you believe your father is telling the truth, or do you believe your father is a false teacher?

I would prefer that Manasseh answer the question, but since he has not replied to my e-mails, I am not holding my breath.

I appreciate your apology. It demonstrates that your heart hasn’t completely hardened, and that you are open to what others have to say. But please keep in mind that Manasseh HAS been injected with spiritual poison–not only from his father, but from Benny Hinn and others within the Word of Faith movement.

Deuteronomy 18:20-22 and Matthew 7:15-23 provides God’s rules and regulations for those who claim to be prophets of God. One false prophecy equals false prophet. And, Jesus said we would know a false prophet by his “fruit”. False prophets produce false prophecies and false teachings (rotten fruit).

Unfortunately, Manasseh Jordan is a false prophet, because he has been caught in false prophecies and false teachings. And the longer Manasseh hangs around with false prophets and false teachers, the worse he will become.

Friend of Manasseh, if you truly care about Manasseh’s spiritual welfare, and yours, then take the time to listen to what we have to say. There are plenty of Christians in this blog (including me), who will take the time to talk to you and Manasseh, answer questions, and lead you out of error into truth.

In John 8:32, Jesus said, “the truth will make you free.” But to know the truth, one must know the real Jesus.

    In Christian love,
    Bud Press

O.K. now that Manasseh’s friend has capitulated, how about some help from this vast pool of knowlege helping Mike and Mickey with some scriptural references we can use with young believers who are experienced based, rather then scriptural based.
Thanks, to Carolyn for her help,…anyone else want to further the Lord’s Work and, as Mike said, many hands make light work…
    Thanks !

    • Chrystal says:

      Mickey,

Here are some Scriptures to get you started. I can’t go into much depth because I’m at work and have to get off of here.

God is a spirit, and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth. John 4:24

      So…what is truth?

Jesus prayed, “Sanctify them in truth, Your Word is truth.” John 17:17

God wants all men to come to the knowledge of that truth. 1 Timothy 2:1-4

It is the Word of God that sanctifies. God chose through the foolishness of preaching to save…. not miracles – preaching. Todd Bentley says that preaching the gospel is not enough to save souls, they have to see miracles, he says. But, according to Scriptures, preaching is the method that God chose to save them that will believe, and those like Bentley who don’t believe that are indicted because the Bible says those who think that way are worldly, and the He chose the foolishness of preaching to confound those who are worldly. Therefore, Bentley proves himself to be worldly because he flatly stated preaching the gospel won’t save souls. 1 Corinthians 1:21-31

So, how is a person’s faith built?

Faith comes by HEARING, and HEARING by the Word of God. Romans 10:17

This is just to get you started.

  30. Mike A says:

    Friend of Manasseh,

Leonard Ravenhill once commented that many people would tell him or write him and state they are called to be prophets: Ravenhill’s response, “Do you have life insurance, because you will be dead in 6 months – that’s how long John the Baptist lasted after Jesus came…”. Satirical -perhaps; but no prophet was ever honored during their time. Christ even tells us that since He was rejected and persecuted that we can expect the same, because, afterall, we are not God in the flesh (John 15:20).

  31. Eli says:

FoM says: “I support the Prophet and his ministry and have for some time, and am looking at expanding my support soon.”

And there we have it. It always comes down to the cash. Soon, if not already, Manasseh will be sporting the high-life just like his mentor Benny Hinn. While those who blindly follow his false/heretical teaching and false prophecies get fleeced.
FoM – There’s nothing more I, or anybody here, could add to what has already been said to you to make it any clearer that this man (and his father) are ear-tickling, self-deluded wolves roaming amonst the flocks. All I could say is there are none so blind as those who refuse to see. And as Paul Washer alluded to, those who follow these charletans are not victims, they are under judgement. Many times, God will give us what we ask for. FoM, I pray the Holy Spirit will open your eyes, before you open your wallet any further.

  32. Eli says:

Bernard Jordan said this in a prophecy (and I’m cutting and pasting from Crystal):

“He then prophesies that those who want to start businesses need to have them incorporated before the end of 2010, because the rules are going to change from 2011 and beyond because there will be changes in economic structures, changes in immigration, changes in health care, and even a rapid change in currency. Such changes that, once they come, you will be living life on a whole different level (there it is again). But, he tells the people not to fear, because the Lord has said He will sit among them in His tabernacle, and they will witness His plan like they have never known (yep, there it is….again).”

Is is just me…or does this, and so much of what they “prophecy”, sound a whole lot like what the bible tells us will be going on and happening during the tribulation?

  33. shane says:

I think if the Father has given someone to Jesus then that person will see all of the foolishness of those “prophets” for what it is.

John6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

John6:65 And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.

  34. Carolyn says:

Here is just a tiny comment to add to Chrystal’s most excellent one.
Truth is not subjective. So we must reason with people on the basis of truth, not feelings. If they refuse to reason on the basis of truth, then we cannot help them. We just keep putting the truth out. We cannot reason on their terms, by reason of their feelings.
    Jeremiah 15:19
Therefore this is what the LORD says: “If you repent, I will restore you that you may serve me; if you utter worthy, not worthless, words, you will be my spokesman. Let this people turn to you, but you must not turn to them

  35. Carolyn says:

    M&M
Just thought of a time when I was dealing with the subjective vs. Biblical truth.
I have mentioned a false prophet coming to one of the last charismatic churches I attended. His name was Forest Gibb. Pointing out how there was such a great gulf between his prophecies and what it actually said in the Bible was getting us nowhere. BECAUSE one of the main elders who should have known better had had something “revealed” to him by this prophet that “NOT EVEN HIS WIFE KNEW AND NO ONE ELSE KNEW ABOUT”. It was his strong and adamant belief that “ONLY GOD CAN KNOW OUR THOUGHTS” so it followed, in his calculations that this prophet had to be hearing from God. And after that it was like a wall went up and none of the elders would listen to anything we had to say. This prophet was of God in their minds.
When we asked them where it said that in the Bible, they looked at us with amused disdain. When I pointed it out to our very large ladies group, it was more like fiery darts being shot from their blazing eyeballs. After that they had dreams and visions condemning my “strange intolerant attitude”. And shortly after that we left that church.
So in that case, I don’t know what else could have been done. When Paul reasoned with the Jews and they rejected his message, he left and went to the Gentiles.
    Acts 18:
5When Silas and Timothy came from Macedonia, Paul devoted himself exclusively to preaching, testifying to the Jews that Jesus was the Christ.[a] 6But when the Jews opposed Paul and became abusive, he shook out his clothes in protest and said to them, “Your blood be on your own heads! I am clear of my responsibility. From now on I will go to the Gentiles.”
7Then Paul left the synagogue and went next door to the house of Titius Justus, a worshiper of God. 8Crispus, the synagogue ruler, and his entire household believed in the Lord; and many of the Corinthians who heard him believed and were baptized.
    Jesus said
    Matthew 10:14
If anyone will not welcome you or listen to your words, shake the dust off your feet when you leave that home or town

  36. David says:

@Eli, Bernard Jordan is doing a “Nostradamus”. This nothing more than soothsaying, or dvination – and not prophecy. If you examine those comments they’re exactly the samne as the comments and tequniques used by phychics/meduims. He’s made a whole lot of generalizaed “hit & miss” statements that don’t actually say anything. I’ll walk you theough each sentence.

    1) “…those who want to start businesses need to have them incorporated before the end of 2010, because the rules are going to change from 2011″… The source of this is more than like from the Wll Street Journal and an article on Federal or State changes to Legislation regarding the Incorporation of companies – namely private (LLC) and espescially worrying to Bernard Jordan, charities and “churches” and their Tax Free status. The main point is the source of this prophecy was man, and NOT God!

    2) …”But, he tells the people not to fear, because the Lord has said He will sit among them in His tabernacle, and they will witness His plan like they have never known…”
Now, there is only ONE scriptural parallel to this statement…and that refers to the coming Antichrist: “Who opposeth and exhalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the Temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.” II Thessalonians 2:4 KJV

All the parts of this “prophesy” from Bernard Jordan are speculation and generalizations meant to frighten his followers in parting with their cash. There have been others before him too! There have? Yep! There have.

In 1980 Richard Heard gave a series of “prophecies” regarding the “Mark of the Beast”. He gave this series of “propphesies” during a “revival”. I only herad the tapes of that conference, but this was what he “prophecied”:…..” In 1984 the EEC will become one massive power. There will be 10 counrtries, but three of those countries will dissolve their borders for economic reasons. In the EEC, hidden underground in Brussels, Belguim is a massive computer that is seven stories high – and the call thos computer “The Beast”!! …. Acording to Richard Heard the Tribulation was to begin in 1984!! At this conference in 1980 he supposedly had evidence of a man that had a barcode in his forhead, but it could only be seen with and x-ray. He kept saying over and over “…Goodbye, Sinner friend! – Goodbye”. So, this “prophet” was ignorant and spreading fear though ignorance. 26 year later, the 23 member EU as it is now called (proving his prophecy false in a big way) is broke, the Euro still hasn’t been accepted by the UK, and there are rumours of countries pulling out. And the “Beast” super computer? Well he’s one of the idiot prophets that made statements like “in 1995 they will have a computer with enough memory it could house an demons”. I know, perhaps the Lord gave him a “vision” about ID Software’s “DooM” or “Quake”. So, all these false prophets and false prophecies are nothing new.

You now see the evolution, or eviloution, away from scare tactics and “the end is nigh” prophecies to fake miracles with promises of wealth and power! The Apostle Peter spoke of them as being among the people and warned that they would be among us today. Keep in mind this simple statement form Our Lord himself:

“But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house”. Mark 6:4 KJV

You see, if these men were truly of God, they would NOT be famous Televangelists or wealthy! The saying is true that “the Devil looks after his own!”

BTW, I just discovered this website a few moments ago, and had it not been for this blog wouldn’t have been aware of what they’re teaching – dominionism:

  37. Bud Press says:

    Hi Eli:

You asked: “Is is just me…or does this, and so much of what they ‘prophecy’, sound a whole lot like what the bible tells us will be going on and happening during the tribulation?”

Good question, of which Jesus addressed in Matthew chapter 24.

Note that in Matthew 24:24, Jesus warned: “For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will show great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect.”

False prophets, false teachers, and idiots claiming to be “Jesus Christ” have been around for thousands of years, and they all have at least one thing in common: they have and are paving the road for the antichrist.

In 1 John 2:18, the Apostle John wrote: “Children, it is the last hour; and just as you heard that antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have appeared; from this we know that it is the last hour.”

And what is an antichrist? John answers the question in 1 John 2:22-23: “Who is the liar but the one who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, the one who denies the Father and the Son. Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father; the one who confesses the Son has the Father also.”

    See also 1 John 4:1-3 and 2 John 1:7.

2 John 1:9 teaches that, “Anyone who goes too far and does not abide in the teaching of Christ, does not have God; the one who abides in the teaching, he has both the Father and the Son.”

And, in John 8:24, Jesus said, “Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.”

False prophets and false teachers not only lead their followers to a false “god” and false “Jesus,” many of them claim to be a “god” or “God”. Their doing so denies the exclusive deity of the Triune God (Trinity). One cannot claim to be deity and Christian at the same time.

Therefore, by their own doing, false prophets and false teachers fall into the category of antichrist, and operate within the spirit of antichrist. Unless they repent, they will spend their eternity in the lake of fire (Revelation chapter 20).

This is why we, as Christians, need to exercise EXTREME CAUTION and DISCERNMENT when confronted by the self-proclaimed prophets of God of our day. As for me, I don’t need modern-day prophets. I have God’s holy and inspired word to rely on:

“All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:16-17). See also Hebrews 4:12; 1 Thessalonians 2:13; and 2 Timothy 2:15.

As un update to the last post regarding the false prophet Richard Heard, here’s a link to another Apostolic Friends Forum where an individual is enquiring about him. All the details are there, and please pray for this poor decieved individual that holds this false prohet in such high regard:

Also, plaese forgive all the typos but I’ve got this awful cold and keep sneezing! It’s winter down here.

  39. Eli says:

    @ David
I totally agree, and understand what you say. Even still, when you think of it in terms that there could be a demon wispering this junk in his ear, it could be a “primming the pump” (if you will). What he says, and what many of them say, many many times sounds remarkably like tribulation conditions. Therefore when the tribulation conditions begin (and I’m a pre-trib rapture Christian by the way), since their favorite “prophet” (and i use that term very loosely, and in quotation marks) warned them already, it will lend credence to what’s been said, thus taking them further into the delusion. And yes, I agree there have been many others. I’ve spent the better part of the last 14 years of my life studing, reading and writing about prophecy. Studying and writing essays about different religions. Several years ago, I wrote a weekly commentary for an online Christian news portal (that is sadly now defunct). I am no stranger to the history of these wolves and their various outlandish “prophecies”.

“”But, he tells the people not to fear, because the Lord has said He will sit among them in His tabernacle, and they will witness His plan like they have never known…”
Now, there is only ONE scriptural parallel to this statement…and that refers to the coming Antichrist”” Yes, that’s the one that caught my eye first.

“”those who want to start businesses need to have them incorporated before the end of 2010, because the rules are going to change from 2011″… The source of this is more than like from the Wll Street Journal and an article on Federal or State changes to Legislation regarding the Incorporation of companies – namely private (LLC) and espescially worrying to Bernard Jordan, charities and “churches” and their Tax Free status. The main point is the source of this prophecy was man, and NOT God!””

Probably so, but you must admit, during tribulation times, the rules for business are most definatly going to change. I agree, his tactics are to scare people into parting with their cash. But again, even still, he and so many others spout off things that smell A LOT like tribulations conditions. And that can’t be denied.

  40. Eli says:

    @ David again,
I’ve just re-read your reply. I must say that I was NOT implying in ANY way that what he was saying was coming from God. You said:
“”The main point is the source of this prophecy was man, and NOT God!”” Just so we know we’re on the same page here :) I was just making an observation.

  41. Eli says:

    One more last thing ( I promise! :) )

Jordan’s motives are most definatly for his own ill-gotten-gain (to part people from their cash). But make no mistake, Satan can and will use what they say for his own purposes, one of which is furthering the end times strong delusion.

  42. David says:

    @Eli

Hi Eli, Sorry I didn’t mean or intend to imply that you believed anything that false prophet says is from the Lord. Oops! My apologies.

Regarding the statement regarding “… the Lord has said He will sit among them in His tabernacle…” and the coming antichrist, the prophecy from Manasseh parallels this in that he is predicting a future event. I like to say “predicting” as it’s not prophesy. When you tink about what he said regarding the change in US Law for companies, it is very much like the kind of statement an economist would make. There’s nothing spritual about the statement or “prophecy”. One for thing is sure, and that is his “prophecies” and predictions are all centered around money.

Manasseh Jordan prophesied that this will all take place next year 2011. There may very well be changes to company legislation, but that has nothing to do with God, and happens all the time. It will happen again once the Republicans come to power again, with a Republican President. So, have I just prophesied? No, I made a simple observation/prediction based on the past history of politics. However, you take such a simple obvious statement, and “preach” it from a pulpit in an atmosphere of hyped up people, an atmostphere identical to that found at a rock concert, then the masses accept it as “prophecy”. That’s what the majority of the followers of these false prophets are attracted to – the “atmosphere” which they are conned into believeing is a “movement of the Fire of God”.

These church services and meetings, rallies etc. all cater to the CARNAL man! It’s all about the EMOTIONS and eliciting an emotoinal response from the followers. If you can control the atomosphere and emotions of those present, you can get them to believe anything. You can be ceratin that you find any accounts in the scriptures the chaos, crying, blubbering, shaking, “slaying in the spirit” and so on. However, you WILL find parallels in the occult and especially those that follow Qaballah or similar teachings.

  43. Michael says:

FOM, the fact that you capitalize the word “Prophet” when talking about Manasseh shows just how deeply into this deception you have been drawn. You speak of him as if he’s the “Prophet to end all prophets.”

Take his teachings and weigh them against the Scriptures. There is NO OTHER TEST that matters. How you “feel” about him doesn’t matter. How long you’ve known him doesn’t matter. It just appears that you want to drain your own resources to support this money-grubber without using an ounce of discernment to see if ANYTHING he says will stand the test of Scripture. You are not enduring sound doctrine and until you learn to do that and learn to trust Christ Jesus as Lord and Saviour, the things of the Scriptures will remain a mystery to you.

    In His service,

    Mike

    @David
That blog you mentioned? At elegant-technology.com? Well, that is mine. And I wonder why because I am probably not sure what dominionism is–let alone writing as an expert. But if it is what the wiki folks say it is, I am pretty certain that is not my belief set.

However, you are very perceptive in discovering that I had a pretty extensive religious background. I am a Lutheran PK and was sent K-6 to a Mennonite Christian Day School. I had to memorize a LOT of Bible verses, hymns, and catechisms, so I am pretty conversant in what the “protest” in Protestant is all about. But in spite of my mother’s fondest wishes, I am not religious BUT I have serious respect for the intellectual contributions Christianity made to western culture.

  45. David says:

@ Techno, with regards to “Domionism”, and what that doctrine teaches, you’ll find a detailed explanation here:

    http://www.deceptioninthechurch.com/dominionismexposed.html

  46. techno says:

Goodness, I am NOT one of them! I always wondered about the second-coming set. If I recall, Christians are prohibited from speculating the time of the second coming yet an astonishing number do.

  47. Ruitje says:

Domionism, Word Faith, Latter Rain, Manifested Sons have the same roots as the New Age ‘theology': the Christ-consciousness. ‘The Christ’ will not bodely return, but in the mind, spirit of the people. This was written on a website about Christ Consiousness (they even use the bible):

‘It is our destiny to attain to the level of Christ consciousness and to be aware of the self as God’. Sounds familiar to what Word Faith teaches, ‘little gods’.

‘Speak as Christ would speak and Christ will speak through you…
Think as Christ would think and Christ will think through you and the mind of God will become congruent with your physical vessel…Practise sweet thoughts, sweet feelings, sweet words and soon they will come naturally to you.
Finally perform deeds that you know Christ would perform and you will manifest the Christ consiousness in your daily life.’

“Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you.”
    – The Bible –
    This means:
Seek ye first the Consciousness of God, the consciousness of the Living Christ in you
and the scientific application of the Universal Law to the mastery of self in time and space and all these things in the world of form shell be added unto you by the multiplicated alchemy of the Holy Ghost.’

    Scary how it fits…

  48. Ruitje says:

This line: “Sounds familiar to what Word Faith teaches, ‘little gods’”, was not on the website, it was my comment…

  49. Denise says:

Researching something unrelated, I came across this at Benny Hinn’s website:
    http://www.bennyhinn.org/default.cfm :

“Manasseh Jordan is now 20 years old and well-known around the world as a young prophet. Before he was born, however, Pastor Benny told his mother that she would have a son and even told her what the infant would be named! At four years of age,…”

Does that strike you as blasphemous? Its like Hinn’s trying to set up this new heretic as the next Messiah.
