Todd Bentley Continues to Promote the Angel Called “International Banker”

I sometimes can’t believe the stupidity that passes itself off as Christianity.  In the video below from the Kingdom Business Association, Todd Bentley talks more about the angel of finance and the angel called “International Banker.”  I find it hard to believe he can say these things with a straight face.

So much time and energy is spent chasing riches.  In this video, Todd Bentley speaks of God’s glory and material riches in the same breath.  Sad.  The Scriptures tell us that God was glorified through His Son.  Those are the true riches.  For those who lust for the treasure that corrupts, you have the angel called “International Banker” who spreads around filthy lucre.  For those who want God’s TRUE glory, God sent them His Son, Jesus Christ.

Which one will you choose?

The people who follow these LIARS deserve what they get. They don’t want the true God.

There is only 1 good thing about false teachers/preachers like Bentley: They are proof that we are in the last days.

    These are exciting times…

  3. Robert L. says:

Todd Bentley says he wants everyone to bring something that represents their debt……..right………to be followed by a big fat cheque made out to Todd Bentley ministries. What a scam ! Keep it going Todd ! I love how God continues to pour out his annointing on you ( not ! ) while you continue on in your adulterous relationship. I hope you support your ex-wife, the mother of your children who now has to take care of them all by herself since you’ve have run off with another. People like Todd Bentley forget that Christ is the prize, that He is the summation of prosperity, that He is the source. That to know Him is to have riches untold.
I’ve often thought that sometimes God’s richest blessing can be a curse. A season of poverty. A season of sickness. Did I seek for God when I was lacking for nothing ? No ! Did I cry out to Him in faith when cancer shook my body ? Yes ! Did I pour out my heart to Him when my job was secure ? No ! How could I ever learn to become dependant on God in my independance ?
These gluttons have it all backwards. Bentley is as lost as goose in a snowstorm. May God have mercy on them all before its too late.

Hmmm – Chrystal, let me ask you, do you think it is ‘wrong’ or ‘sinful’ for mankind to desire to be well off, to live a wealthy lifestyle?

    • Chrystal says:

Is it wrong to desire to be well off and to live a wealthy lifestyle? If that is your desire, yes. Our desire is to be the gospel of Jesus Christ. Let me ask you nickleback… is it wrong to be content with what you’ve got and strive to grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ? Jesus told us not to strive for the bread that perishes, and He also told us not to lay up for ourselves treasures upon earth…but to lay up our treasure in Heaven.

And stop posting under different names or your posts won’t be approved.

if bentley played blues guitar, he might pass himself off to some as popa chubby. but if he plays guitar the way he preaches, no way.

i am feed up with the nar characters. i hope they go BR, and soon. since when is the gospel about large expensive facilities and antiseptic “recharging” retreats? these folks have bought the nar line that they are in the presence of god when they are worshipping a band and a leader. presence of god? the nar leaders forget the parable of the king’s big party.

(listen to the first few minutes bill jackson’s manipulation of the audience with his body language and his soothing voice, http://www.god.tv/video/play?video=1235. but his theology is dead wrong: jesus completed the priestly office. none of us are priests. so how can we keep the priestly fire burning?) the presence of god is with people who are compassionate., is 58. “jesus went about doing good and healing those under the power of the devil.” acts 10:38.

(and if you listen to entire video, you will probably wake up the next morning really really sick.)

“he that is not for me is against me.” that is the spirit of the antichrist: we bought the line of tent revivals, safe places to get our healing. now it is the high cost of maintaining huge facilities that sit empty for 6 days a week. jesus only did what he saw his father do. so i will be safer than sorrier and mimic jesus’ behaviour. everyone of our cities have homeless and downtrodden. i do not have to spend money going overseas to minister. i can go out tomorrow and beat the bushes for folks in dire straits and invite them to the party.

and i refuse to fund church facilities and administrations with my tithes: instead it goes directly to those in need of compassion.

  7. Bud Press says:

Ahhhh, the old “God is going to release financial prosperity this year” sales pitch.

But truthfully, the only financial “release” is from your checkbook or credit card to the false teacher’s bank, where your money collects interest towards real estate, automobiles, vacations to foreign countries, expensive jewelry, airplanes, custom clothing, five-star hotels, five-star dining, catchers, bodyguards, and a lifestyle fit for a king…and queen.

    Did I leave anything out?

    According to Todd Bentley,

“On January 24th, 2007, (the same month that Todd was visited and commissioned to host Greater Glory Gatherings) Bob Jones also had a visitation from an angelic being that stewards over the supernatural release of finance. The angel told Bob that he was assigned to funnel finances for the Kingdom and that it was time for people to lay their plans and blueprints before the Lord so they could be supernaturally financed” (“Current Prophetic Message,” http://www.freshfireusa.com/articles/61 ).

    According to Rick Joyner,

“I realize that this may sound like just another reciting of the prosperity teachings, which is a good thing to many, and a bad thing to others. However, as we proceed, you will find that what I am sharing with you is different from what you have heard before. If we believe the prophecies, we know that unprecedented prosperity is coming to God’s people” (“UNPRECEDENTED PROSPERITY IS COMING TO GOD’S PEOPLE–OUR OBEDIENCE IS KEY,” February 6, 2007, http://www.elijahlist.com/words/display_word/4978 )

Without fail, year after year, “God is going to release financial prosperity this year.” But truthfully, the only ones who prosper are the prosperity preachers.

“The treasures of darkness.” Yep, that’s about right. Mess with this liar and deceiver and that is what you get: Treasures of darkness!

  9. Lynne Parker says:

We are truly in a great state of apostasy as concerning the church. So many false ways and teachers seem to abound. II Peter 2:18-19, “For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantoness, those who were clean escaped from them who live in error. While they promise them Liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.”

We should speak with a tear in our eye when seeing the multifudes deceived by these individuals.

  10. Annunk says:

    Chrystal,

Is it possible that “nickleback” is actually Bickle nack? ;) Yes, yes…pun intended…

OK here’s my 2 cents RE: This new and exciting prosperity message!: It is very true that God will bless you when you give to Him – you cannot out-give God ever – but if the focus of your giving is so that YOU will get more, then you’ll never receive anything. You’re giving out of your own greed. That would be silly to think God’s going to bless THAT kind of giving!

But this angel of finance bologna…I think that’s laughable. I can, however, hear my old Word of Faith friends who always had TBN playing on the tele at their home saying, “Oh isn’t that wonderful?!”

    Sad. It’s very, very sad.

  11. Mike L. says:

The deceitfulness of riches….hmmmmm. I wonder why the Bible would say being rich and having great wealth is deceitful. Well, I’ll tell you at least one reason: it’s because it causes us to place our trust in something other than the Lord Jesus Christ. PERIOD. nickleback, God has blessed any number of Christians with great wealth but that doesn’t mean that ALL Christians are suddenly to name it and claim it. We are a BODY made up of many parts. Some of those body parts have money; some don’t. But the Bible says that we are to be content. Isn’t it also interesting to note that it was Jesus Himself who, in sharing the parable of the seeds, said that it chokes out the Word and the end result is unfruitfulness. Read it yourself in Matt. 13.22. And what happens to unfruitful trees? They are burned in the fire.

There are those who can handle wealth and there are those who can’t. There is more negative said about riches in the Bible than good and so I think there is a lesson to be learned there. This continual “blather, rinse, repeat” cycle of people like Bentley only serves to validate the incredible truth of the Scriptures concerning how wealth is deceitful. These guys (and gals) want nothing more than “their best life now.” Well, they better enjoy it now because if they don’t repent, this life now will be the best they’ll ever have it because after this they will burn for eternity in the Lake of Fire.

I’ve said it before that in comparison to most of the world, my wife and I are very wealthy people. However, we don’t SEEK more money. We don’t ask others for money to support us. We constantly pray for contentment and for the guiding hand of the Lord in all we do. We use our finances to support our church because it’s where we are fed. Our heart’s desire is to see God glorified in all that we do, all that we have, all that we say, and in all that we believe because it’s ALL ABOUT GOD’S GLORY. These charlatans, on the other hand, are all in it for themselves and they WILL have their reward but it’s probably not what they are expecting.

The spirit of the Lord will not always contend with man. There is coming a day when God will send strong delusion and when that happens, they won’t be able to receive Him even if they want to because they have chosen instead to believe a lie. I don’t think that day is here yet and so we should pray that they would be delivered from the lies and doctrines of demons and come to repentance and renounce their lying ways and come to the Lord in brokenness and contrition.

Even so, come quickly, Lord Jesus!!

    In His service,

    Mike

the woman with the issue of blood…
Am I crazy or did they just cheapen this miracle? Is God nothing but a genie in a bottle to them?

Anytime Bentley starts taking about angelic visitation I immediately remember how he BRAGGED – yes – BRAGGED about the one that showed up when he was sitting on the pot! yeah. Does it get any more desperately disgusting than that?

God save those who listen to this crazed man who fittingly dresses in all black!

  13. Bud Press says:

    nickleback:

What is your position on Todd Bentley and the prophetic movement?

    Bud Press

  14. nickleback says:

Hmmm. Interesting perspective Chrystal, almost a sort of reverse prejudice, in my opinion anyway.

I think there is nothing wrong at all with desiring to have money, for the right reasons. I want a well paying job so I can afford the lifestyle I and my future wife desire, so that I can afford to give my children the life I didn’t have, to be able to take them around the world seeing both beautiful places and the harsh realities of this world, to be able to leave them something that will launch them in this world.

Don’t get me wrong, I understand wholeheartedly the need to give my children a spiritual platform to launch from, and I do intend on giving them just that, but how can they take care of the widow if they hardly have the money to look after their own family?

    • Chrystal says:

      Nickelback,

Thank you for that well thought-out answer. I’m not going to accuse you of teaching your children materialism, because I don’t think that’s your intent. I understand what you’re saying about having money to bless others, and that’s very commendable. I think the problem is that so many strive for materialism without realizing they’re doing it. It’s about motives, ya know? I do a spiritual inventory constantly to make sure my motives are pure and sometimes those are the hardest reflections I put myself through. If yelling “ouch” would help, I’d do it. I’m going through a period like that now, and it’s not fun!

Look, all I’m saying is that Jesus is first…all in all! I know you would agree with that. If money gets in the way of that, just like anything, it’s to be repented of. Unfortunately, so many people pursue money, and because they lose the proper perspective and get sucked in by it, they become pierced through with many heartaches and pains.

“INTERNATIONAL BANKER ANGEL??? Because we know Angels have to be certified in order to be international.

  16. anna says:

The most telling comment of the video is where Todd says something like, “Ask God to bless your vision.” In other words, you dream up what you want, and then hope God gives it to you — kinda like Santa. Yup. Sit in his lap for a minute, give him your list, and his little elves (would that be the angels?) will get right on it.

This must be a recurring theme in prosperity. I just heard another preacher say basically the same thing, and he’s not remotely related to (t)Odd Bentley.

  17. Jonathan says:

    Nickelback and all,

1 Tim 6:6-10. Pay close attention to verse 9.

These covetous and idolatrous men are accursed. It is a sign of ALMIGHTY GOD’s judgement on a people that these perversions flourish. These people lack the ability and desire to extricate themselves. Bentley and his ilk slide deeper daily and are hanging out over hell. The wrath of Christ is near, and they appear to have no fear of GOD……. a worthless (reprobate) mind. There is no peace to be made with these apostates.

Just as this blog is faithful in pronouncing the warnings of GOD’s judgement ……………….. every true believer should be also, at every turn, when we encounter these heresies–lest the Lord judge us too. We must spill out into the streets, calling for repentance and faith in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

This country has had multiple translations of the Word of GOD, freedom to worship, endless amounts of Gospel light ………… and this abomination, and too much more like it, is what American Christianity promotes and exports to the culture and the world?! Most of the rest of Christianity, the mainstream denominations in this country are liberal. Ichabod was declared some time ago as the Glory of the Holy Spirit has departed. The sentence of Hell and the Lake of Fire is inescapable for many!

Real Christians need to prepare…………. as true disciples resolve to take up the cross. Prepare by grace of GOD to suffer for HIS name’s sake. Judgement is upon us and it has begun in the House of GOD! We are not called to a life of comfort, but to the contrary, we are summoned to die.

  18. Plotinus says:

Chrystal, agree!!! I would add honor and dependence. Recognizing who has “ownership” and be willing to give it all up.

Nickel: Defending the idea of a work ethic and the desire to provide are a little different than meeting with a banking angel and “investing in the glory conference of release and coins and gold and fire checking accounts.”

  19. highrpm says:

    nickelback,

“how can they take care of the widow if they hardly have the money to look after their own family?”

you give what you can–and sometimes your last mite–and leave the rest to god. that is what the boy with the loaves and fishes did. (it is quicksand to go beyond that.) (and you hope like everything that your wife agrees.)

  20. Mike L. says:

Isn’t it amazing at how we trust the Lord with our eternity, we trust Him with things unseen, but we have the hardest time trusting Him with our checkbook and our daily bread. Am I missing something here? Does that strike anyone as a bit odd? He feeds the birds of air and even Solomon was not arrayed as the lilies of the field.

Nickelback, you are not alone in wanting those things for your family. I have wanted no less for my children as they grew up but they never got any of that. We didn’t have money to travel (but they didn’t need to travel to see beautiful things nor to see the decadence and immorality of society and the utter despair of others). We didn’t have money to even go camping. My kids don’t know what Disneyland is. They’ve never been to anything like that. I cried many tears as they came home from school sad because their friends went to Disneyland or they went to Europe or they got a new snowmobile or a new iPod or a new this or that. They were desiring things in the innocence of their youth but what it amounted to was materialism. Don’t get me wrong. I’m not faulting you. I’m reflecting on my OWN story for a moment.

I thought my kids needed the things I never had. I thought my kids needed what everyone else’s kids had. Well, what did my kids get? They got an education from mom and dad about living for the Lord. My oldest son loves the Lord and is serving at his church and my daughter is in bible college and wants to go into the mission field. THAT is much more important than them getting what I didn’t have or seeing the world. I had to learn that. The Lord didn’t see fit to give me a large income when my kids were growing up. We lived paycheck to paycheck and often had to rely on others for food, utilities, and other bills. The Lord NEVER let us go hungry and we always had a roof over our head but He promised to supply all of our NEED; not all of our wants.

I had to learn contentment because the fact of the matter is that we in America, even our poorest people, live better than 90% of the rest of the world. This world is not our home (thank goodness because it’s a mess). I wanted a “lifestyle” too but I never had it. What I DID and DO have is a Father in Heaven that loves me and has told me He will take care of me. With that I am content. :-)

    In His service,

    Mike

  21. Sean says:

It seems that not enough people can be reeled in to the healing scam. Now Bentley’s trying another angle. I really wonder how many will be foolish enough to be taken in by this one.

  22. Pat Holliday says:

    http://www.scribd.com/doc/28398198/The-Angel-Named-the-International-Banker

“For among my people are found wicked men: they lay wait, as he that setteth snares; they set a trap, they catch men. As a cage is full of birds, so are their houses full of deceit: therefore they are become great, and waxen rich. They are waxen fat, they shine: yea, they overpass the deeds of the wicked: they judge not the cause, the cause of the fatherless, yet they prosper; and the right of the needy they do not judge. Shall I not visit for these things? saith the Lord: shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this? A wonderful and horrible thing is committed in the land; the prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?” Jeremiah 5:26-31

The Apostle Jude cautions that certain ungodly men have crept in unawares turning the grace of God into lasciviousness; showing a desire for, or unseemly interest in, erotic sex, provoking lust. This is being done by their denials of Jesus and mocking His divine holiness.

    Pat Holliday

  23. Stan says:

Since the credit crisis, the false ministers have been targeting those who are in financial need. Sharks adjust their fins accordingly when they smell blood.

TB spiced his message with bold, preposterous lies about angelic encounters and “the Lord-spoke-to-mes.” And, he made sure to say twice that the seminar was free. I am sure that an offering was taken, because Todd managed to work into his message about the women who ministered to the Lord out of their substance and finished his prayer for the businessmen that they would minister to the Lord out of theirs. They fulfilled the transfer of wealth prophecy by moving what little they have left or can borrow on credit to TB and Morningstar. Clever manipulators.

The apostolic writers are scathing in their condemnation of those who make merchandise of God’s people with their damnable heresies and great, swelling words. It is sobering to see instances of their ancient prophecies being fulfilled. For evil men shall grow worse, deceiving and being deceived. God, keep deceptions and lies far from us and feed us with the portion you’ve granted us, giving us neither poverty nor riches.

To those who are in financial need, they need to do what James says “Is any among you afflicted, let him pray.” They also need to understand what God says in Ezekiel 14:10 that those who seek the false prophet will receive a false prophet’s punishment. Anyone who attends these events to seek money from the anointings of these ministers need to repent.

    Stan

  24. David says:

A good Charlatan always makes himself the pivot point or the axis by which he spins his lies. “I” saw this angel and “I” want to share it with “you”, “I” received something special that must now be distributed to “you” – so come to “me”. He makes himself indispensable and therefor provides for himself a steady and sure line of suckers, and solidifies his use. Make yourself useful, even with a lie, and you will receive of men.
Special revelation, especially that which is spiritually nonsensical and wholly unholy, and that which tarnishes the very ways of God – can safely be avoided without fear of missing out. God is not far off, He does not require a physical pilgrimage or a special vessel of sole proprietary dispensing of an anointing – The Holy Spirit has been given to all who believe.
Middle-men have been the bane of the Church’s spiritual relationship with God since Jesus left. God’s Prophets and Apostles were marked by the fact that they were not embedded in a role of “Anointing Lord” but of servant to the Lord and to His sheep.

  25. shane says:

I wonder what it would be like if Azusa Street never happened?

Azusa seems to be the opposite of Pentecost. One brought peace, order, and truth teachers while the other brought chaos, heresy, and false teachers.

  26. shane says:

TB needs the money because he probably has the “angel” named alimony and child support trying to get what money he has.

  27. Barry Boyd says:

God is interested firstly in true riches and these are only found in Jesus Christ. If Bentley or any of these health and wealth pushers knew the word of God they would know this 2 be true,so that tells me that they don\t know the truth. The only truth they know is worldly and demonic.

  28. WatEenZooitje says:

Maybe Todd can ask the International Banker Angel if he can give extra blessings to Greece. The Euro and therefore a lot of brokers are threatened by an other financial crisis because Greece are in great depth. If Todd really have this straight connection with heaven as he claim to have, then this must not be any problem. Secondly, the angel can give Todd also a portion of this blessings so then Todd doesn’t need to beg the audience for money ever again!!!

  29. Barry says:

It’s the new christian game show, prophets for profit, broadcast on theTBN network.Todd Bentley is the host.

  30. Mike L. says:

You guys have it all wrong. The reason for the stock market crash and the situation in Greece isn’t because of financial woes. It’s because people haven’t been sending enough money to Kenneth Copeland, Creflo Dollar, Benny Hinn, Manasseh Jordan, and the rest of them. They hold the keys to all the world’s prosperity….just ask them. We need a few more people chanting “shakabonky” and you all need to be ordering a case of prophetic MP3 players. ;-)

Seriously, we need to store up our treasures in Heaven. Aside from that, we need to support our LOCAL pastors because it is they who feed us; not televangelists. There are very few others worth supporting but there are a few. However, they should be second in line to our local pastors.

    In His service,

    Mike

  31. If this stuff really worked shouldn’t they be sending us money?

  32. BTW, if anyone would have opened their Bible and read Isaiah 45:1 they would have seen that Todd Bentley doesn’t finish the passage but lifts it up out of context. The context is the Lord speaking to Cyrus not to Todd Bentley. The reference to releasing the hidden riches of secret places in Isaiah 45:3 is to Cyrus not to KBA.
