Mutual Admiration Society: Kim Clement Prophesies over Benny Hinn

We should call Word of Faith (WOF) the “mutual admiration society.”  I’ve tuned into Trinity Broadcasting Network  on many occasions to see so-called prophets lavishly and flamboyantly prophesying over one another.  If Prophet A prophesies the moon, then Prophet B will prophesy back the stars.  This does two things:  1.)  It elevates the prophet in grand stature in the eyes of their followers, and 2.) It elevates the person being prophesied over by planting the notion in the minds of the followers that the words being spoken over this person are true, and their importance in the Kingdom of God compared to our own is greatly amplified.  No Biblical truth needed, just a word from a false prophet and the masses will accept it.

False prophets are not a new thing and neither is the fact that people follow them gladly.  The Bible says that when the prophets prophesy falsely, people love to have it so.  (Jeremiah 5:31)  That begs the question…why?  As a believer, I want to know everything God has said so that I can know His heart and mind on everything He felt compelled to communicate to us.  I want to know truth so I can know His will and please Him.  I want to know truth because it is TRUTH.  Nothing less will do.

What Kim Clement communicates is not truth.  Recently, on March 1, 2010, Kim Clement prophesied over Benny Hinn.  Here is a transcript of that prophecy:

The Spirit of the Lord tells me to tell you that this that you have received, this that you have dispersed to others over the years and over the decades, everything will be accumulated into one moment in time which starts in March.  And this eruption will happen through you and a few others that I’ve chosen.  God said it is a responsibility because the enemy will come and he will fine tune it because he will say “I must focus on him.”  But God said as he attacks you I will give you more access, more access into the world, the Middle Eastern world where they will come and they will say “will you come and will you be the prophet to us because you understand our culture, you understand who we are and you are able to speak our language.” And the Spirit of the Lord tells me to tell you I have spoken about the fact that young men and young women in the Middle East are dying for God’s word.  They will literally die and you will present them with Christ but in a fashion that only you can do it.  They won’t be able to do it.  The people of the West cannot do it, they don’t understand, they abhor them.  They will not listen to them.  But God said I’ve anointed you and I will give you words.  Even though thousands may surround you and you will say these words to your servants “Can you not see those who are with us are greater than those who are against us?”  You will have visions and insight before meet with these sheiks and these great men and God says I will raise up – it will be the youth that respond to you.  The youth will cry out and say “Let us go to this man that speaks so powerfully and when he speaks something happens to our skin, something happens to our innermost being.”  These young men will be raised up and Christ shall be given to them.  They will come out and they will join with the West, some of these young people, and music will be created that will be a combination of Western and Middle Eastern music.  And even the artwork will change, God said.  And because you have been obedient understand that the miraculous that shall be taken from this nation through you to them will raise up a generation that shall say “We believe Christ is the One.  We believe that He is.”  And they will not be able to stop them for it is an army, says the Lord, that will come because you will prophesy to dead bones, says the Spirit of the Lord!

I’ve read this so-called prophecy over and over and the one word that would describe it is “elitism.”  Okay, we can throw arrogance and conceit in there too.  To hear Clement tell it, Hinn is going to go to the Middle East and minister Christ in a way that no one else can because they won’t listen to anyone else from the West because 1.) they will only listen to the anointed man of God, Benny Hinn, and 2.) only Benny Hinn understands their culture.  As a result, the youth will respond because when Hinn speaks, something happens to their skin (I’m guessing chill bumps, or something like that).  Afterwards, the youth will come out and join with the west and as a result, music will be created and artwork will change.  Sounds ridiculous, doesn’t it?  I’m not making this up.  Read it for yourself!

This prophecy comes shortly after Benny Hinn’s wife filed for divorce.  Benny’s reputation is taking a hit during this time and he needs an ecstatic prophecy or two from a fellow WOF teacher to remind the people just how important he still is.  Hinn hasn’t gathered cobwebs, he’s still relevant!  He’s still powerful!  He still matters!  He’s still an elite prophet of God and only Benny Hinn can save the day!  Okay, maybe I’m spinning out of control in my sarcasm, but you get the point when reading the above prophecy.

It’s quite the spectacle when false prophets get together to prophesy over one another, isn’t it?
