Paula White says the Apostle Paul was not a Good Preacher

Hear Paula White in her own words say that the Apostle Paul was not a good preacher.  She also says that he was boring.  If you don’t want to listen to the whole sermon (and I use that word loosely), skip forward to the 1:45 mark.

She lauds Paul’s writings, but says that since he didn’t take homiletics or hermineutics, he wasn’t a good preacher because he preached too long.  According to White, if you can’t say it in 30 minutes, you can’t preach well.

What Paula says we need in the church?

We don’t need sermons, we don’t need to be preached to anymore… we need the power of God.

After all is said and done, after her much speaking, her sermon turns right back around to prosperity, telling the crowd that God is going to make them rich.  See the video below.

  1. you need to listen to the rest of the sermon. She goes on to tell all the goodness of Paul. Why would her saying he was boing stand out to someone. You really had to be looking for the negative to hear that. Paul spoke of renewing of the mind daily. Thats what needed to stand out.

  2. At least Paul was biblical!

  3. I’ve seen enough. She is disqualified to preach anyway because of the divorce (twice divorced!). She should not be up there. It doesn’t surprise me she’s up there because she and people she’s affiliated with are not following the Lord, not heeding to God’s word. So, they’ll do whatever they want to do and keep fleecing the people.

  4. Maybe shes right about Paul being a boring preacher. I’ve known and heard many of preachers who’s heart was in the right place and was boring to listen too, so what. Wasn’t it Paul who asked God to remove the thorn in his flesh? Sure it was, and God told him no, and that his grace was sufficient. Maybe Paul’s thorn was a him being a bad speaker, I’ve heard that before by other people. Paula White doesn’t stop at that remark though, and goes on to provide enough scriptures that should tell us that God used Paul in a great and mighty way even though he had a weakness. Don’t we all have some kind of weakness? I give credit where credit is due, it looks to me like Paula White was trying to make a point, I believe she did a good job, so I don’t see the point in pointing out anything she said in this clip, as being necessarily wrong. Then again I’m not familiar with her that much, but I sure don’t see a problem to be real concerned with in this clip. Let’s not split hairs here, shall we?

  5. She is definitely NOT criticising Apostle Paul, she was making a point that what we need more than the ability to put words together is the POWER of God. I have no problem AT ALL with what she said. I have no doubt that we must aim to be the best at what we do especially as ministers of the gospel but if all we do is put words together and lack the power then our word is unhelpful. The Gospel is the POWER of God, it therefore imperative that the demonstration of the Spirit power MUST accompany our messages

  6. I know that God gives discernment as a gift and you guys are walking in that, but be careful. I have noticed in myself that with discernment comes quickly a critical spirit. I am not saying you are wrong in questioning such teachings, but be careful the word says do not judge least you will be judged. There is a fine line in knowing the truth of God’s Kingdom and condeming all those who don’t seem to be lining up with it exactly. Yes, we should definately be aware and on guard, not taking in every word spoken by a “preacher of God’s Word” as truth, but we must remember to pray for those who are blind and give grace. God looks at these people saved, unsaved as His beautiful creation, even if they are not walking in the fulness of Him. I say all this to say- Be slow to speak harshly because everyone has the potential to be a beautiflul depiction of God and His Kingdom. God gives us grace and shows us unconditional love. Are we not being just like those we slander when we do not practice grace or love.

  7. How can she say that we don’t need any more sermons and we don’t need to be preached to? The word of God needs to preached, God comanded that his word be preached to every creature. It is the word that makes you free, it is the word that changes, it is the word that saves lives and athe the signs and wornders are followed by the word. No word so signs.
She is walking in dangerous grounds when she said that we don’t need to hear the word any more. Everything revolves around the word of God, anything else is false.

  8. MARITZA, you are so RIGHT. Signs follow REPENTENCE. SIGNS are NOT for believers. ARE WE NOT SUPPOSED TO LIVE BY FAITH? IF YOU ASK FOR & RECEIVE A SIGN, THEN YOU COULD GET A FALSE SIGN…WELL WHATTA YA’ KNOW, JUST LIKE TODD BENTELY!Signs are for unbelievers! REVIVAL is to CLEANSE MESSIAHS BODY OF SIN! THEN IS WHEN OTHER THINGS SIGNS, WONDERS ETC COME!

  9. Well now there is more than one way to look at this.
If a person preaches 24 hrs and still has people listening to him,I’d say he probably has a lot to say of great interest..

About five minutes of Paula White would do me for a year o two….

  11. well i dont see anything wrong about what paula says concerning paul’s weakness .paul had a weakness just like everybody else has and there’s nothing wrong in stating that. and i think paula white did a job well done in this regard that what the church needs more than just words is the powre of GOD cause words without the power wont have an effect on anybody.

  12. When it is all said and done, when the miracles are no more, when healing is no longer needed, when money is not needed, when the fame and hoopla that follows ministry (whether it is the ministry of God or Satan–yes Satan does minister) all we will have left is the Word of God. It is imperative we preach, TEACH, and share the Word and allow the Power of the HOLY SPIRIT to do the rest. However, if it is God it will line up with His Word. We should not chase after SIGNS for the Word of God tells us of false signs to seduce the people (Deut. 13 vs 1-3). In 1st John 2 vs 18 the Word tells us of antichrists (plural) being here now (not The Antichrist) therefore that spirit is now using/manipulating many people now to promote its antichrist agenda. Many people are bound by the devil and promoting another gospel who truly believe what the are doing is right, this is Witchcraft! If it is of God it will line up with the word of God. Mammon (the god of money) is another god. I don’t believe God wants us to be poor, however if someone is preaching/teaching the pursuit of money or any other god at the expense of Repentence, Salvation, it is not of God and/or it is mixture! God’s Word of Repentence, Salvation, Forgiveness takes precedence! Lamentations 2 vs 14, prophecy serves not only to edify, encourage, and exhort but to bring conviction so Repentence will come! There are True Apostles, Prophets, Pastors, Evangelists, Teachers of today, however the false always follows the truth to divide, confuse, scatter, and kill the sheep, this is Satan’s plan! If Paula White or anyone else promotes any other piece of the Word (or anything else) over Repentence, Forgiveness, Salvation, run!!!! We are quick to be stroked and to hear what we won’t to hear (MONEY, MONEY, MONEY) therefore the devil has given/promotes money and a lot of other stuff to turn our hearts from God. Watch and Pray, for the Adversary is amongst us—WOLVES IN SHEEPS CLOTHING!!!!!!

  13. I am shocked that christians can write such horrible things about another christian. even if you dont agree with what is being preached you need to be displaying the fruits of the spirit and should only ever speak in love and not critisize a fellow christian.she actually spoke of all the amazing things paul has taught her and didnt really have anything negative to say about him other than she thought he was a boring preacher.I read the comments before i saw the video and expected to hear a terrible sermon talking against paul but having watched all the video found exactly the opposite. i think if you are going to pass a comment about someones sermon you should really know exactly what it is you are commenting on and not just comment on the whole thing if you havnt seen or heard it all.

  14. >>When it is all said and done, when the miracles are no more, when healing is no longer needed, when money is not needed, when the fame and hoopla that follows ministry all we will have left is the Word of God.

then we true believers will be in Heaven with Jesus Christ who is the Word of God,, but for now we have not only Him, His hoily spirt, and the gifts of the spirit, gifted men, and the Bible as well,,

  15. I believe Jewels’ response wraps it up best. I believe Ms. White was trying to make the point that word without the power is dead (the letter killeth). There are too many dead “seminaries” because of our constant tendency to lean from one extreme or another. Power without the word puffs up (ego, pride). In the last days, many will follow signs and wonders and be given over to their own “itchy ears” and will not endure “sound teaching”.

Any “charming” individual with some knowledge of the bible and alot of “special effects” can make an “interesting sermon”. However, it is nothing but the Blood of Jesus and the Power of His Resurrection that can change, transform, save, deliver and set free.

If we do not daily cultivate our own personal relationship with a True and Living God through His Holy Spirit and yield ourselves to His will and ways, we will not be able to discern anything at all.

Our charge in these days is to “Guard our hearts” that we may cherish the Precious work of the Holy Spirit in our lives and that we May Know Him in the Power of His Resurrection.

  16. Miss White desperately needs to repent. I say this in the love of God. She wreaks of self. She is imitating others in all of her body movements, word delivery, etc. It is the flesh gone wild, and it is a shame, becauae it brings reproach on her and others llike her, which it should, but it also raises doubts about the honest and truly spirit filled preachers all over the world, and that is sad. Simply put, she is exalting Paula White, and we are supposed to exalt the LORD JESUS CHRIST, WHO GAVE SO MUCH FOR THE ENTIRE WORLD.

  17. >>There are too many dead “seminaries” because of our constant tendency to learn from one extreme or another.

or our tendecy to be idol, hero worshipers, listen to men more than to lsiten to God.

(Psa 30:5 KJV) For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

(Rev 7:17 KJV) For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

(Rev 21:4 KJV) And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

God in these days also is still speaking to us not just through the words in His Bible. “You are not to go to the left or to the right unless you hear a voice ( of the Holy Sprit) saying this is the way walk there in”.. Many of us have not learned as to how to hear this voice .

  18. but if a man knoweth not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?

Gee is it really hard to figure out what makes us Godly leaders, evangelist, etc.

Sure God’s grace abounds, sure we all fall short,
like the apostle Paul (before his eyes were opened) we’ve all committed things we are not proud of. However after conversion, do we continue to act like the world? Yes, we do stumble from time to time. But, Are we ready for leadership, even after a second divorce. Maybe a third marriage is what it takes to prove to the church we were leaders all along.

I have heard the percentage ratio of the divorce rate in the church/world is around 50/50. I wonder what the divorce rate between church leadership and the world is?

Once again the glamorization (a nice logo with a qute jingle) of leaders in the church has brought a dumb stupor upon the body of Christ. And the church thought it knew what kind of fruit the tree produced. Evidently we must be in a drought, because no matter what the fruit looks like, we would rather partake something that looks good to the eyes, rather than heed the Word.

“Oh, but Adam, the Serpent tricked me, and I did eat.”

  19. As a mature , honest, decent adult senior, I like to speak from my real insights, experiences and not as a pretender on the net.

When I told my in-laws, and family I was thinking of becoming a pastor all hell really broke loose from them, even from my wife and they were even professing Christians now too.. their basic opposition was that was not the lifestyle I had wanted for myself.. they had rather wanted riches, security .. and I knew the devil himself was behind the opposition

Like I said one of the greatest Christian author’s in the world, second to the Bible its seems, John Bunyan the preacher, author of Pilgrim’s progress his own wife did not go along with him

Still what disturbs me that too often the basher seem to imply often on the net that only Pentecostals pastors sin .. not the gay Anglicans, gay catholic’s, gay evangelicals or whatever?

But hey any of you do not have to tell me that 70 percent of all evangelical pastors commit adultery, not just Baker or Swaggart, so if the leaders do that what do you think the flock is like next?

Yes even God’s beloved King David committed murder and adultery and next was for given for it too.. because he had repented of it it is so easy to be a false, uncompassionate critic.. walk in someone else’s shoes for a start.. after all we all do sin.

King David’s wife did not support him fully, Job’s wife as well but so have the unsupportive wives of many other faithful Christian persons including John Bunyan now too. For that matter neither did Jesus own family now too.

Mark 3:33 And He replied, Who are My mother and My brothers? 34 And looking around on those who sat in a circle about Him, He said, See! Here are My mother and My brothers; 35 For whoever does the things God wills is My brother and sister and mother!

ever wonder why the supposed professing British Christians seem to hate the American Pentecostals so much now? jealously or what

  20. I’m not anti-pentacostal, I’m anti-heretics. The Pentecostal movement is full of them, but so is the whole of the evangelical church.

I basically grew up pentacostal. It saddens me to see what is going on. There are many strong brothers and sisters within the pentacostal church who are also standing out against these wolves. They do not accept the money-pimps, or the signs and wonders gurus just because they’re pentecostal…they weigh them by God’s Word and reject them. How unjust it would be to lump them all together just because they’re pentecostal.

To those pentacostal brothers and sisters who are fighting the good fight…please keep pressing on and don’t lose heart.

  21. My twin Brother stands up and fights against all the crooked Pentecostal, evangelical pastors and so now he is being sued for 50 million dollars for his rather still ungodly war for there are 3 things still wrong in all of this..
1: the clear lack of love firstly in all of this,
2: the clear lack of praying for the crooked pastors firstly..
3: and the need to remove the beam from one own eyes before we can help the others still too..

I have no hidden agendas, I am not trying to get you to buy anything, I offer everything free, absolutely no money is asked for. There there is no church to join now as well, I merely try to tell the whole honest truth, positive and negative ones, even about politics, religion or what ever.

  22. You liken exposing false doctrine to being ungodly. How sad. You go ahead and keep silent when the wolves enter and start devouring the flock. The rest of us will sound the alarm.
